  • Location, location location! Welcome to Grey Pine Cabin in Tahoe Vista, centrally located to all that North Lake Tahoe has to offer year round. Well-appointed cabin sleeps 6 plus children and is fenced and dog friendly. Walkable to many restaurants and shops near the lake as well as to the beach itself.

    This cabin is in a peaceful neighborhood just steps to the classic, popular Brockway Golf Course where vacation homes are dotted along the greens.
    From our cabin, you and your family can enjoy activities and amenities such as:

    Skiing and Boarding
    In winter, you can be on the slopes at multiple resorts, as we are located less than 8 miles from Northstar, or 17 miles to Palisades, Alpine Meadows or Mt Rose.

    Swimming
    Popular in summer with kids and adults alike, the beaches along Agate Bay hum in the summer - you'll get a head start and avoid parking headaches, because we are less than 1 mile away from North Tahoe Beach, Moon Dune Beach, Secline Beach and Kings Beach. There is even a dog friendly beach next to the boat ramp!

    Paddling and Kayaking
    Along with Kings Beach, you can also rent paddleboards and kayaks in Tahoe Vista Recreation Area and Boat Launch, under 2 miles away.

    Hiking and Biking
    Northstar also offers mountain biking in summer/fall, and there are many trails steps from the cabin, as well as biking trails from North Tahoe Regional Park less than 3 miles away. Bike rentals can be found in Kings Beach,

    Golfing
    Brockway Golf Course is a hop and a skip away, and a bonus is Spindleshanks located on the golf course, a highly rated restaurant with outdoor dining.

    Dog Beach
    Kings Beach is 1 mile from the house offering dog-friendly beach area left side off the boat launch off Raccoon St. There is another dog beach at Waterman's Landing a few miles away in Carnelian Bay.

    THE CABIN
    Fully remodeled with a mountain rustic feel, the space is filled with natural wood materials and modern furnishings throughout, giving the cabin a cozy, woodsy vibe. All rooms are stocked with high quality linens, towels and supplies making your stay inviting and comfortable after a day at the beach, the mountains or in the snow.

    MAIN LEVEL
    When you enter our home from the sunny front deck, you will be greeted by our open concept living area and dining space that seats 6-8, and fully equipped kitchen with gas stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, and other appliances in the ample cabinet space. We also offer a full coffee bar with many options.

    Also on the main level is the first queen bedroom and full bathroom (with heated floors, toiletries, and shower/bathtub). Continue down the hall, and you will see our back door leading to our backyard deck, propane grill, and outdoor seating area. Perfect for summer barbecues!

    SECOND LEVEL
    Walking upstairs you will find our second queen bedroom, and a large open loft space with a Cal king sized bed and a full size futon. Also on this level is a desk with a printer for working vacations, a full bathroom with a standing shower, and a laundry room equipped with a stacking washer and dryer.

    HOUSE INFO:
    - PARKING: Parking in driveway will fit 2 cars. (street parking is not permitted during winter months due to snow plowing)
    - BEAR BOX: located in driveway for all trash disposal, extra bags available
    - A/C: Like most homes in Lake Tahoe, our home does not have air conditioning.
    - BACKYARD: The backyard is usually snow covered in the winter months so outdoor furniture may not be accessible.
    - SNOW REMOVAL: Snow removal service will remove snow in driveway while cars are not parked, stakes are there to guide the snowplow, remember to keep stakes intact. Shovels are also available for use in clearing pathways when needed.

    - UNCONTROLLABLE CIRCUMSTANCES: Tahoe is prone to wildfires and other seasonal weather events. We are not responsible for uncontrollable circumstances inherent to Lake Tahoe such as poor air quality during wildfire season and snow during the winter months. We recommend 4WD, chains, or snow tires in the winter and if you would like to protect your trip for reasons not covered by the booking platform’s policies, we recommend the purchase of external trip insurance in the event your travel plans change or you need to cancel.

    One dog is allowed, an additional dog may be allowed on a case-by-case basis with pre-approval from the owner.
    When bringing a pet, please message me before booking:
    *A description of your pet, breed, age and weight
    *Confirm your pet is 100% house trained, non-aggressive, and up to date on all vaccinations.
    *Confirm that your pet will not be left alone for an extended period in the home or yard while you are out (to avoid accidents and/or excessive barking). Pets are required to be on leash at all times outside of the property - Per Placer County regulations (See Placer County Code Chapter 6, Article 6.08, Sections 6.08.010 and 6.08.020)

    TAX
    Placer County charges 12% Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) which you will find as part of the fees charged per booking.

    A/C: Like most homes in Lake Tahoe, our home has central heating, but does not have air conditioning for cooling. However a floor fan is available in the home for guest use when needed.

    PLEASE BE BEAR AWARE: in the greater Tahoe area, black bears are harmless to humans, but in search of food, bears will enter unlocked spaces and they have discovered how to open car doors.
    Remember to never feed bears or any wildlife, and to remove all food (yes, even gum and candy!) from cars.
    LOCK house and all car doors to prevent bears from entering and damaging your vehicle. We cannot be responsible for any damage to vehicles or belongings from bears foraging in the neighborhood.

    RED FLAG WARNINGS: During seasons of extreme fire danger, any outdoor bonfires, charcoal barbecues and wood burning fire pits are strictly prohibited.

    WINTER SEASON: Outdoor furniture and BBQ may not be accessible in the winter months, as the backyard is usually snow covered.

    UNCONTROLLABLE CIRCUMSTANCES: Tahoe is prone to wildfires and other seasonal weather events. . We are not responsible for uncontrollable circumstances inherent to Lake Tahoe such as poor air quality during wildfire season and snow during the winter months. Please check the weather conditions in advance. Spotless, well appointed home, great location

We had a great trip to Tahoe/ Kings Beach. Home is spacious and well appointed. 3 comfortable beds, all the coffee, dishes and utensils you could ask for. This home is a work of art.

Excellent home in a great location

Very well appointed cabin. Everything was dialed and fully equipped. The kitchen even has high quality pots and pans which is a rarity in Tahoe. Great location and fairly to the lake. Will be back.

Wonderful stay

The house is just as pictured. It fit our group perfectly . Four adults and two children. There are extra floor chairs that aren’t pictured but were perfect for kids. We were very happy and enjoyed our stay very much . Upstairs has very large loft room with so much space. The whole house was much bigger than I thought it would be . Great stay . Wonderful time with family . Thank you Lisa .
