Spacious Cabin Across From Beach!

  • Located across the street from the beach and boat launch at Tahoe Vista Recreation Area, this 6 Bedroom / 3 Bath “pet friendly” home is the perfect home base for a group of family or friends looking to take in all that Lake Tahoe has to offer! Take in views of the Lake from the upstairs master balcony while enjoying enough room for everyone to spread out. This cabin-style home boasts two kitchens and two living areas making it a great option for family gatherings or ski trips with friends.

    On the main / mid level of this 3-story mountain getaway, you`ll enjoy the sun-filled living room with floor-to-ceiling windows and vaulted ceilings that make the space feel enormous. With a sectional couch and armchair, this living room is the ideal place to gather together and enjoy each other’s company. Sit around the fireplace on a cold winter day or watch your favorite movie for a relaxing night at home. And during the warmer months, this room feeds directly out to the spacious deck with outdoor dining table / chairs, a gas grill, and comfortable lounge furniture. You can also head downstairs to the second living area with another large sectional, rocking chair—and pool table! Both areas are great for hosting.

    Pick from one of the two kitchens for a homecooked meal. If you’ve got picky eaters, make unique dishes upstairs with the gas range oven and comfort food in the downstairs kitchen with the smaller electric range. Both spaces offer fantastic opportunities to show off your skills in the culinary arts. Enjoy all the comforts of home with a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and blender.

    Seating won’t be an issue in this marvelous home. The dining room table offers enough space for the whole family—12 seats total with three more at the breakfast bar. The open-concept living room makes it easy to talk, serve drinks, or even help out in the kitchen from the living room or dining area. Not to mention all the seating downstairs, too.

    This spacious home sleeps up to 12 guests:

    Primary Suite (upstairs) - Queen Bed
    Enjoy tall ceilings with a rustic chandelier as well as the sliding glass door to your own private balcony complete with a swing to capture those gorgeous sunsets. Appreciate the cabin-like style of this room with a lounge chair seating area and queen-sized bed. The shared bathroom with sink is directly adjacent in the hallway.

    Bedroom 2 (upstairs) - Three Twin Beds
    This upstairs bedroom has a three twin beds and is a great spot for kids or a few singles just needing a place to lay their heads. It shares a full bathroom with the Primary Suite just steps outside of the bedroom.

    Bedroom 3 (main / mid level) - Queen Bed
    This main-floor bedroom has a picture window that offers cool mountain breezes at night when opened. Sleep tight on the queen-sized bed and make sure to knock before opening the shared bathroom just outside in the hallway.

    Bedroom 4 (main / mid level) - Full Bed
    Bedroom 4 is equipped with a full-sized bed, nightstand, and lamp. Crack the window for a breeze or turn on the lamp to read your favorite book at night. There is a charming bookshelf with lots to choose from! This bedroom shares a bathroom with Bedroom 3.

    Bedroom 5 (lower level) - Queen Bed
    This bedroom can be found on the bottom floor near Bedroom 6. A plush queen-sized bed allows you all the comforts of sleeping alone or with your partner. Remember, this bedroom shares a bathroom with bedroom 6.

    Bedroom 6 (lower level) - Queen Bed
    This bottom-floor bedroom has a spacious queen-sized bed with natural lighting from the window. Try to sleep in a little while you enjoy this comfortable space or cozy up with your favorite book on the vintage rocking chair or cushioned window seat.

    No events or parties. This is not a party house and is best suitable for those looking to enjoy a peaceful time in the mountains.

    No smoking of vaping.

    No commercial photography and / or filming allowed.

    While this house is “pet friendly”, all pets must be disclosed when booking and a non-refundable pet fee must be paid. Maximum 2 mid-size dogs per rental group (any others must be approved by host in advance). Guests agree to take full financial responsibility should there be any damage or additional cleaning required due to pets presence.

    There is parking for 4 - 5 cars on the driveway and / or under the carport (depending on the size of your vehicles). Note that there is no street parking allowed at any Short Term Rental Property (per county ordinance).

    No outdoor fires or charcoal bbq’s allowed per county ordinance. On red flag days, no open flame allowed (i.e. no use of propane grill).

    Trash must be properly disposed of within metal bear bin alongside driveway. Do not leave any food or beverages in your vehicle as bears will not hesitate to help themselves to your goodies and can cause significant vehicle damage.

    Home must be properly secured (doors locked, windows closed / locked) whenever not present in the home.

    The driveway is on a seasonal plow service, whereas they come once per day when it snows more than 6 inches. They generally follow the road plows and will first clear the berms at the end of the driveway. You’ll need to move your cars so that the plows can access and clear the driveway (which takes less than 5 minutes once cars are out of the way).

    The easiest way to enter the house is through the lower entrance under the deck (as it is covered by the deck above). There are steps that lead up from the parking area to the upper entry door. During winter months, the upper entry door, stairs and deck maybe covered with snow that’s accumulated . We do our best to ensure reasonable access to the property, but depending on the timing of your arrival (if during or immediately following a storm), there maybe snow snow that needs shoveling. There are shovels located onsite that can be used by guests, but we recommend that you travel with a shovel during winter conditions.

    WINTER ADVISORY: By reserving this house during the winter months (November - April), you acknowledge that you will be traveling into the mountains and that winter storms are common and often unpredictable. The dates that you are choosing to reserve are being held for your group and are therefore unavailable for other groups to reserve. In all cases, our cancellation policy will prevail. There will be no consideration afforded for difficult travel due to winter weather condition. We strongly advise that you pay attention to incoming storms and / or changes in weather patterns in order to help avoid travel delays or disruptions. It is also strongly advised that you travel with a 4WD or AWD vehicle, carry snow chains , and have a shovel that can be used if needed to dig out a stuck vehicle.

    ALL SEASONS ADVISORY: By reserving this house, you acknowledge that you will be traveling to the mountains and that Lake Tahoe (while beautiful) is in a natural forest setting. As such, it is possible that you may encounter spiders, ants, field mice, etc. at properties throughout the area. We take every proactive measure to prevent pests from finding their way inside the property (i.e. regular cleanings, seasonal deep cleanings, routine pest control - i.e. spray perimeter and crawl space areas, set traps, seal up holes of entry, etc.). Despite those efforts, there’s always a rare possibility that pests can find their way inside the home (as it only takes a very small entry point for that to occur). This is simply a reality of living in the mountains. By accepting our house rules, you acknowledge this Advisory and agree that there will be no refunds or adjustments to pricing should you encounter a pest(s) within the home.

Great place to stay!

We loved the location - right across from a beach in Tahoe Vista and close to all the restaurants/shopping of King's Beach. The house had more room than we were expecting so we were very comfortable. The host was easy to get ahold of. Everything was great!

Wonderful location at Lake Tahoe

Our family enjoyed our stay at this home in North Lake Tahoe! We had 8 adults & 4 children (9y/o, 7y/o, 3y/o, 1y/o) in our group. Positives: Great layout in the house for multiple families to enjoy especially with a full bath on each level (3 total). We also LOVED how close we were to trails at the North Tahoe Regional Park. We could literally walk to the trails from the house which is wonderful! It's also right across the street from the Tahoe Vista Recreation Area and Boat Launch. We walked to this beach everyday and every evening with our kids and rented kayaks right there too. Was a nice way to enjoy the beach without the crowds! Cons: The house is located right off the main road that goes around Lake Tahoe, which resulted in a lot of traffic noise. Because (like most homes at the lake) the house doesn't have AC, we slept with the windows open to cool it off at night, which meant we heard the cars quite a bit when trying to sleep. This is something that wouldn't prevent us from staying again, but something to keep in mind. We did have some minor concerns with the house, but the management company was very responsive.Overall we would definitely consider staying here again as the easy access to activities made it an enjoyable trip.
