Cute little cabin with an enclosed yard for our dogs to play in. We had a great time! Really appreciate the host for accommodating us, as we requested to stay an extra night due to a winter storm. Overall, we’d come back! Thank you!

Lovely but limited

The location was convenient for shops and beaches, but the orientation of the home during the warm season was such that the patios were quite hot in the evenings when we returned from the lake. There is a strict rule to not be outside past 9pm, when the patio and lights were lovely. The cottage was well appointed and clean. The couch and beds were comfortable. A winter stay would be preferable, so the warmth of the upstairs room would be appreciated more. The check in and out process was a breeze.

The stink that won’t go away!!

Walking through door my wife said I smell mildew. I said mildew and a lot worse! The epicenter of the bad smell is the kitchen. I am a winemaker and winery owner. I have a heightened sense of smell. I had to keep every window open 24 hours to deal with the odor. The place needs a lot of tlc and a new indication of pride of ownership. We left a day early. The smell got me!! All in all it sucked.

Charming but run down.

Left a day early. Too hot to sleep upstairs where the beds are. Door opens half way in what passes for a bathroom on first floor. Most everything in the house wore out 10 years ago. Outside area was very nice but not cared for and dirty. No hose outside or broom to clean up ourselves. Charm only goes so far.

Lovely little quirky cottage

Had a great stay. This unique little property was perfect for me,my husband and our dogs. Had some upgrades and was vey cozy. Enjoyed our time there and would gladly return. Highly recommend.

Adorable little cabin

Very clean, and adorable cabin. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and absolutely loved it. Many places to eat, and shop nearby. Neighborhood was quiet. Nice peaceful surroundings is what we wanted, and that's what we got. If I could suggest anything, a window a/c unit upstairs for the summer would be great. It got warm up there, and didn't really cool down until later, even with all the windows open.

Magical stay

Cozy cottage that captures a rustic feel and charm, without going overboard. Beautiful in the snow. Well appointed kitchen. Size is just right for couples or a small group, but it's not large. Good restaurants nearby and close to the slopes. Very happy we stayed!

A Bit Worn and Creaky

Looked much better in the pictures. Worn and stained carpets, creaky and steep stairs with wobbly handrail. TV did not work and it took 2 days and multiple phone calls to mgt company before someone came out at 7pm to fix it (took 1/2 hour). The yard was a nice place to sit and our dog enjoyed it very much. Bed is comfortable.

Lovely Property

A great location for Kings Beach and a lovely clean property. Spacious and relaxing back yard. Ideal for a couple, individual or Mom/Dad with little ones. Our Labrador LOVED all the smells in the back yard and exploring the nooks and crannies.

Very cute small cabin great location

We had a fantastic stay! We knew the cabin was not big but it is adorable. The location cannot be beat. It was so nice to have a fenced in yard for the dogs. We would love to stay here again :).

Great Stay - Great Location

Loved our stay here. Very well equipped house, including beach stuff (chairs, kayaks etc). Lots of outdoor space and comfortable beds. Location is close to the kings beach area but secluded from the hustle-bustle. The only issue we had is that the bikes were not in ridable shape, even though we notified the host ahead of time that we would like to use them as was suggested in the rental instructions... Not a big deal... we would definitely stay here again.

Great House/Great Location

Overall this was a great house for a couple night get away. The backyard is fantastic and provided lovely shade throughout the day for relaxing under the trees. Ultra convenient to walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. My only negative, there are a lot of different smells in this home. Nothing foul or rancid, but it seems like they are trying to mask smells with other “scents”. The bed sheets smelled incredibly strong of detergent or some kind of spray that made it difficult to sleep. They could use a few more tools for the grill/kitchen, but it was manageable. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Charged $70.00 for a Rug

It was not very clean. The microwave did not work. It was dusty and cobwebs hung from the lights and ceiling. We were willing to overlook the faults because it was a charming, well located cottage. Then I got a bill for $70.00 for a kitchen rug that was filthy when we arrived and must have been ruined after we left because it looked nothing like the photo they sent.

The best getaway!

My husband and I needed a little getaway and the Gingerbread Cabin was the perfect place to get away from all of life’s hustles and bustles. We were able to take a few steps back and relax, snuggle, read books and be cozy near the fire. This cute cabin hits all the feels ♥️
