Sugarloaf Marathon Trip
The accommodations were perfect and the owner was very responsive. We stayed for the night before sugarloaf marathon, which was a perfect location near the sugarloaf base lodge. It seems like it would also be a perfect location for skiing in the winter. Thanks Jill!

A small suggestion
A night light in the primary bathroom would be very helpful. We would love to visit again in 2025. When do reservations open for that season?

Pleasant Stay!
We had a good stay at Jill's place. It was spacious and perfect for our group. We had a little mishap with the fireplace but Jill was quick to respond and help us. Only thing I will say is it's not really a ski in property. The ski in is supposedly through the woods (definitely not for all ski levels) but even so, we couldn't find where the drop in point was and there were no markings directing us where to go so we never found a way to ski in. The path to West Mountain Trail is not too far to ski on and the shuttles are convenient so it was fine for us.

Great stay
We had an amazing time at the cottage. It is very user friendly and right off the west mountain. Unfortunately the chair was closed but we could skin to the top from the cottage. Very confortable for a party of 11 friends, would highly recommend.

Great House in a Great Location
We stayed here for two nights for ski races. The house was spacious for 11 athletes and coaches and very well appointed. Super kitchen and the ACTUAL wood fireplace was ready to go when we got there. Will certainly return!

Nice location near golf course
Nice home. Comfortably accommodated 10 guys for a golf trip. Good kitchen. Everything worked as advertised other than Wi-Fi, which was no big deal for us. Prompt communication from owner.

Carrabassett Maine lodge
It was a very nice visit. Beds are VERY comfortable! Choosing to rent a ski lodge in August means your not likely to have a mowed lawn, if you are looking to do outdoor activities (which we were NOT, so it didn’t matter to us) be aware of this. Kitchen wrap (cling wrap or baggies) would have been helpful! We would bring these next time. I would definitely stay here again!!!

Great spot for a group
We enjoyed the property, easy access to Sugarloaf. We had a group of 9 and plenty of beds and space to relax. We stayed mid week so we couldn’t ski on to the nearby lift because it wasn’t running but could back, if needed. Nice fireplace and open kitchen living area.

Spacious house on mountain
Overall the house was great. We had plenty of room to spread out and came well stocked with all the essentials and then some. Had spices, and some extra odds and ends from prior renters which was helpful! When we were there, there was logging happening on west mountain so can’t speak to the ski in but shuttle is convenient. We had some trouble with the heat and the owner was quick to reply and give us instructions. Overall would stay here again.

Gorgeous house and location!
What an amazing place to stay! The house was gorgeous. We just had a snow storm and it was so cozy to snuggle in at the fire place and play games. The shuttle literally was right there for us to get to the mountain. The owner was so great and communicating and the house literally had everything we would need. Our family would absolutely book again!

Review
Had a good experience but thought the fees, etc were excessive. I was especially annoyed by the charge for additional guests since this was not mentioned prior to booking . House slept 16, I went with 12 and was charged for 4 extra - deceptive practice

Good time had by all
The house was very clean and comfortable with plenty of room to spread out. Unfortunately the lift near the house wasn't running but the bus at the end of the drive way is great! Snowed about a foot while we were there and the driveway was plowed and sanded before we got up.

Perfect Family Getaway
Our large extended family thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The size, amenities, and location made for a perfect family getaway for the 6 adults and6 children in our party.

Spacious House and Great Location!
My family and I went on a ski trip to Sugarloaf and had a great experience at this house. The house was spacious enough to EASILY fit 9 adults. We took the shuttle on Friday morning which picked us up right at the end of the driveway and took us to the base lodge. We skied off back to the house at the end of the day. The trail home was through the woods...so be aware if you choose this route! We ended up right at the back of the house. We got dropped off on Saturday morning at an inlet 30 seconds from the house (you could walk from the house) to access the West Mountain Chair. We were able to pick up the shuttle home right by the main lodge! We had a blast both skiing and snow shoeing through the woods all weekend long. Also very close to market for food, drinks, wood fire, and anything else you may need. Jill was very responsive and easily accessible my cellphone! One thing that may have made the stay a little easier would be a guidebook with more information on wifi login, thermostat, check in and check out procedures, trash, shuttle information, etc just so we didn’t have to reach out as much! Great stay!!

A few friends for the weekend
Property was very clean. Check in was fine. There was no wood for a fire and that would have been fine but the heat did not seem to work very well even after turning up the thermostat. Hot water was not enough to fill up the jacuzzi. Spacious and fit everyone well. Would have been nice to have some direction on how to ski on to the mountain from the rental.

Great host and location
Spent thanksgiving with family and it was a great space and great location. Great access to the mountain and all trails. Everything you need is already there and really had a great time. I would recommend to larger groups and families.

Mixed feelings
I sent the host a few messages that were not responded too until I called and texted them. No instructions on entering or leaving the property. She did call me the night of our stay. The house is large and accommodating. Needs some TLC and updating. Good for large groups.

Spacious, but not Luxurious
This property was very spacious, so it is great for a large group. But the listing description of a "luxurious" getaway is just not accurate. Furniture and décor are dated and tired, bathrooms especially. There were no check-in/out instructions or booklet with helpful info, as we are accustomed to finding at other properties at which we have stayed. The host was responsive and flexible, but I had to track her down for basic things like figuring out how to get into the house; not having adequate towels; not being able to get the heat to an appropriate temperature; etc. We enjoyed our time there, but mostly *despite* the disappointment of the property/hosting experience.

Perfect spot for our annual ski trip!
This house was perfect for our group; spacious, clean, and comfortable! The kitchen was well stocked with all the tools, plates, dishes, etc. we needed to feed our big group. It was easy to get to and from the base lodge with the shuttle, which stopped right at the end of the driveway. Couldn't have asked for a better stay- thank you!

Christmas ski getaway for 3 families
Beautiful house with lots of space - not set up with sheets on beds, though, and very noisy downstairs toilet (like a siren when flushed). Thin walls, so you hear every footstep and conversations, but other than a few nitpicky things like that, a wonderful large house, perfect for several families.

We hired a new cleaning group and it is unacceptable about the sheets. We pride ourselves on warm cozy comfortable bedrooms. With hosting large groups things do break, we have 24 hour maintenance s ou bbn if there is anything you need fixed please contact me. If it is something you can live with during your stay and dont want the interruption please let me know so we can fix for future renters. Ski Trip
This house was a perfect fit for our crew! Owner was very accommodating. Skiing in and out was very challenging in March because of the muddy roads shuttle service could not make it to our location, we had our far share of walking.

They took our large damage deposit for no reason.
House is great but we stupidly got damage protection just in case. They kept our extremely large amount of money because of excessive oil use - in the middle of January. That is not a damage, that’s someone using your house. Wouldn’t recommend it.

Unfortunately the $500 damage deposit was not refunded as the front door was found wide open the day after check out. Fortunately the pipes did not freeze. We do not want to take anyones deposit.. If the renter had the damage insurance she would not have lost her deposit. As we know home away is for private owners and therefore we depend on our renters to lock the property up securely. We are very sorry that this incident ocurred. Jill

Excellent location and accomidations
We had 4 couples staying in this home. All were very impressed with the newness of everything, the homey comfortable feeling everyone felt and the excellent fireplace all enjoyed. The owner was very helpful and even put up a decorated Christmas tree for everyone to enjoy. Thanks for an unforgettable Christmas vacation.
