This property was perfect for our long weekend getaway with two couples, two dogs, and an infant! Plenty of space inside, clean, and comfortable. The deck is particularly special! We made good use of the fire pit as well. It's location is fantastic: right on the lake, 30-ish minutes from Ithaca, and close to some amazing hikes, wineries, breweries, cider houses, etc. The owners provided excellent information and were very communicative. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it as a lovely vacation spot on Cayuga Lake!

We had a wonderful relaxing time at this lovely cottage. Most everything you need is provided but if you need anything else, there is a Dollar General nearby. The stove is new technology and gets hot very fast, so pay attention to your cooking. The neighborhood is friendly and welcoming. There are a few spices secured in a tub in the front closet. We would absolutely come back here again!

My family enjoyed our week at the lakehouse. The property was clean and the lake was beautiful. We enjoyed using the kayaks and paddleboards. There are multiple vineyards and a nice brewery nearby.

Fantastic property on the lake. Everything is well thought through with amenities. Suggest putting something like sand strip at the beginning of the dock where the water hits, it got very slippery when wet. My son loved fishing of the dock, we enjoyed sitting out on the deck and by fire pit.

We wish we could have the choice of giving this home 4 1/2 stars. It was lovely being right on the water with the ability to sit and enjoy the water from Adirodack chairs at the end of a longish dock. The House has everything you could want in the fully equipped kitchen and lots of water play things. We enjoyed the outside fire pit to have s’mores as the sun went down and being on the water allowed us to do much stargazing and we were luck to be able to watch the new launch of the Star Link satellites as they reached us from California. There are good bonuses such as a heated bathroom floor and mini split heat and air units in each room. The interior is well thought out and though not terribly roomy, it’s very comfortable. There’s good lighting throughout Especially for bedtime reading. A small drawback was a lack of bureaus to keep things tidy in the bedrooms. It was very nice to have two sitting and tv areas for families. Because we encountered a fair amount of poor weather, we were inside more than planned and would have appreciated having large windows to look out upon the lake from the sitting areas.The neighborhood is very friendly, especially if you have a dog and although the places are somewhat close to each other, we felt we had almost total privacy because things are so well set up. The huge cottonwood tree growing through the deck makes for ideal shade.All I all our family of four plus a dog had a memorable stay.

Our stay was great! The home is beautiful and the amenities were exactly what we needed for our week stay. Plenty of room for parking, quick responses from the hosts, and a safe neighborhood. We will absolutely be renting here again!

We were blessed to have a wonderful week at this lovely lakehouse! The pictures do not do it justice. Although the inside is on the smaller side, it is very tastefully appointed, cozy, and has everything you need for a week's stay away. The thought the owners put into the design, the quality of products, and a huge help....the organization of everything, is outstanding! The location is everything! We spent most of our time on the deck ,which feels as if it's actually over the water; providing great beauty, the perfect balance of sun and shade, peace and calm, and exquisite sunsets. We loved our week at Halcyon Days!** The only downside is that the house on the left is extremely close to this property, leaving privacy very limited.

Wonderful, quiet spot! Beautiful lake front.

The house was all updated and suited our needs. It was a home away from home with everything needed for a great vacation. Whether relaxing on the deck, taking a ride in the kayak or having ice cream at the local shop, it made for a fantastic retreat.

Splendid House on Cayuga

Property was as advertised, which was fabulous!! This house was great and suited our needs perfectly. The house was easy to find and the check in process went smoothly. Parking was more than ample. The house is right on the lake, with a small beach for access into the lake for wading or swimming. The docks extended into the lake and was a great place to catch the sunset and just enjoy the lake vibes. The house itself had a large deck which was also great for enjoying the lake with a huge tree that provided some needed shade in the summer. Inside was clean and up to date. Kitchen was well stocked with supplies and was fun to cook dinner in. We only used the downstairs bedroom which had a lake view - even while laying down. Dog friendly is a huge bonus. Neighbors (both renters and owners) were super friendly and the location was unique and private. 10/10, would stay here again.

Lakefront sunsets

My husband and I, along with 2 adult children, enjoyed several days of the area’s hiking and kayaking. The house was conveniently located for activities but also perfect for enjoying peaceful sunsets.

Relaxing AND adventurous!

We love staying at these hosts' properties. We've been repeat guests for multiple Summers. Their cottages are clean, updated, filled with everything we need and nothing we don't! It is so nice and relaxing to come to a fully equipped and well-appointed holiday home where we don't need to bring anything kitchen related with us except the groceries. We did a lot of cooking in the kitchen and on the grills on the decks (we rented both cottages at the same time this year), went out on the water even though it's definitely too cold for most folks this time of year, hung around in multiple hammocks on the properties, and enjoyed hot tea in the mornings on the deck chairs and then nice warm fires at night in the fire pits. S'mores! Hot cocoa! Stars! These properties had absolutely everything we needed to be a little adventurous and also have space to comfortably relax during our vacation and college reunion trip.

Lakeside weekend

Had a wonderful weekend trip with my boyfriend and our dog. Clean house with all of the amenities. Short ride to Aurora (cute small town) and 1/2 hour to Ithica (hiking and city). Corner store and a couple of wineries nearby. Would definitely stay again when we can use the lake, but enjoyed the sunsets and beautiful mornings.

Excellent Stay

We enjoyed our stay however may I suggest you get your min-splits checked we had no heat from them at all. Overall, this was a beautiful place! Very clean and secure property and home. The little propane stove in the Livingroom did keep the house warm enough.

Beautiful lakefront cottage

Everything about our stay was perfect. The bad weather meant we didn’t get to take full advantage of the beautiful deck and lake activities, but we still had a wonderful time as the cottage was so cozy and welcoming.

Amazing!
