I really enjoyed the layout of this condo. It was warm and cozy especially with the fireplace. I appreciated the wood, the fact that our dogs were allowed, and the close proximity to the ski trails.Here are some things that could easily be improved upon. Firstly, more dusting was needed. All the radiators had a lot of dust on them. They need to swiffered or wiped down with a damp rag. Some of the tables were so dusty you could write your name in the dust. Also, I think a paring down of all the things in the kitchen would be helpful to the guests. The toaster oven does not work. It turns on, but doesn’t get hot. There are way too many glasses, dishes and pots and pans and other appliances that seldom or never get used. Many of the nonstick pots and pans have had it and need to be thrown away. Better to have a good set of 3 different sizes than 7 or 8 ones that need replacing. One thing that is needed but not provided was some sort of plastic wrap to wrap leftovers and a couple of plastic or glass containers to store leftovers. These things would be helpful to guests. I don’t think most people would think to bring their own. Finally, the plug/ outlet in the master bathroom to the right of the double sinks does not work. These were all just little things, but I just thought that if I was the owner, I would want to know.

The neighborhood is in a great central location to skiing and restaurants. The house itself did not have a working master room tv, a keurig, a working dishwasher, any smart tv in the house, and no fire starter kit was left. All of those things were rectified by the host within 48 hours but it still was a hiccup. We appreciated the communication. Lastly, the main couch was stained with cigarette burns. Would stay in this complex but this unit.

Beautiful Mountain Getaway

The place was spacious for a family with teens. The mountains provided a beautiful view and easy access to some nice hikes! We all loved it!

Wonderful getaway

Wonderful place a little hot with the hundred degree temps that never happened in Vermont. Amazing Brooke you can hear out outside. The ski trails are also fabulous for hiking right out the back door. Great to take the dog comfortable wasn’t worried the kids were going to break something valuable or the dog wag, her tail and knock some priceless itemComfortable homie feel we thoroughly enjoyed the pool on the scorching days and the hot tub was great after some mountain biking and horseback riding. The only struggle was no connectivityat check-in because it’s Vermont. However, that could’ve been solved with me reading the entire email and entering everything before I got out of Wi-Fi service, but that happens quickly in Vermont.

Great Location, lack luster accommodations

You really can’t beat the physical location of this unit but unfortunately that is the only thing that pulled this rating up to a two star for the price. Not many units at all for rent, that sit this close to the Sun Dog trail, which is why we picked it. As for the unit itself it’s pretty run down, actually it's very run down, for the price. The condo looks like it has been basically untouched since it was built 30 years ago. Every window leaks badly to the point where you can feel the cold air blowing around them. The couch in the living room looks and feels like it has been passed down from a frat house. It has been mentioned in several reviews for several years, that it is generally gross and has a cigarette burn on it. Clearly the owner could care less about getting a new one. The majority of the beds also seem old and are very uncomfortable. The shower drain in the small twin bedroom was clogged. Overall the Hospitality level from Vacasa is just low. Have rented other units in Sunrise Village before directly from the owner through VRBO and this was the first time I have used VRBO where we were twice removed from the owner. I have found that direct from the owner they seem to care more. With Vacasa you get the bare minimum. There wasn't even salt in the kitchen. Upon our arrival we noticed that the deck had patches of urine all over it. We assume it was from prior renters who were too lazy to take their dogs outside. Speaking of dogs there was a bit too much pet hair ev

Great place to stay with friends or family slope side in killington. Ski home everyday and have access to private lift to mountain. Would definitely stay here again

Gross, but great location

First off, this is a great location, especially if there is plenty of natural snow as you'd be able to "ski in and ski out" on certain trails over to Bear mountain. Although, there is a walk to get to these trails from the property, still cool. We experienced some issues with cleanliness which makes you question the Vacasa teams ability to maintain a simple condo. The upstairs bathroom jacuzzi was vile. There was a line of scum around the tub and in the drain. The sauna had body hair and grime on the floor. When we reported the issue shortly after arrival, we were told this would be taken care of the next day. Fair enough, cleaning crews can be unreliable. Problem is no one ever came and the Vacasa team claimed a technical difficulty. The fireplace screen also doesn't close all the way. The furniture and place as a whole needs maintenance and updating. I.e. certain lights don't work (microwaves), couch cushion has an old burn hole. The place would be great for simply a place to stay, although the king bed upstairs and very firm. But for the price, you're better off elsewhere.

Fall fun

Property was nice and location was great even for an of season stay. Lots of fun close by like the killington adventure center & visiting small toes like Woodstock & ludlow. Also hiking close by!! We were a bit disappointed that the indoor pool & hot tub were closed until the peak winter season so may mention that in the listing. We loved having the fire place & sauna inside unit.

Thoughts on stay

Location of the condo is great! Lots of Mountain View’s. Amenities were great midweek was the best time to go as there was no one there. I would definitely consider investing in some memory foam mattresses. They are extremely old and very firm and very uncomfortable. I would also invest in a new couch. It is so broken down and it’s riddled with stains. Other than that it was clean enough but dated. I would also invest in some kind of chairs that wouldn’t break as you would sit down on, for the outdoor deck.

We enjoyed our family time together, however I wish we were told that the resort had not opened the lift by our condo. This took away our ability to ski as a family We met a man that skis here every year and he told us that this lift is never open in January, which if true really upsets me. Your maintenance help was very kind to us during the storm.

The condo itself is generally quite nice. I could have looked past the cigarette burn in the sofa, torn throw pillow, mildew on tile, etc. However, what we couldn't deal with was that the heat wasn't working from the moment we arrived. The thermostat was set ridiculously low so we turned it up and went to drive the area in a warm car thinking the condo would heat up. It didn't. After a lengthy process of texting Vacasa (outsourced) I finally got a text from a local guy who asked a ton of questions to see if he could troubleshoot without coming out. Eventually, he did come to the condo- 11pm now. He said the propane tank appeared to be empty and the gas company would have an urgent call to come fill within a couple of hours. We went to bed and all awoke around 5am SO cold. Day 2: I am madly texting outsourced Vacasa AND the local tech. No response. By the afternoon, I call VRBO with whom I booked. This starts the process of them trying to get a hold of Vacasa. Meanwhile, we go to ski around 1pm. I see a man outside looking at the mechanicals. He is a technician there to fix the heat which was NOT a propane issue but rather a mechanical one. However, he says the stairs are loose to get to the unit so the property manager must fix them before he can fix the unit. FF-- heat doesn't get fixed and we spend night 2 without heat. At this point, I book a hotel in Burlington for the remainder of our trip. Waiting on a refund......

No hot tub

Nobody told us the hot tub was not running which was a bummer as we all looked to relax there Saturday night.
