Peaceful

The location is great! We enjoyed the tri level views and easy access to everything we needed. We enjoyed the kayak and that we had our own dock!

Read the fine print!

This home is lovely and the location is not too far off the main drag. Everything was clean and in working order with loads of extras onsite. Please read the fine print though (my bad, I did not!) as there are NO SHEETS NOR TOWELS PROVIDED! Yes, this was a problem for my group and I would not have rented had I just had the common sense to read the fine print!! Also, the listing provided a drip coffee maker and I had packed coffee just in case none was provided but there was only a K-cup machine with no pods provided. Another problem we encountered was at check in: keyless entry was to be my last 4 phone digits but that didn't work. A quick call to the owner got us a check in code that he had forgotten to send. I am so thankful he was available to give that to us. Once we got all those items settled we had a great time in a wonderful home. Would I rent again? No, because who travels with sheets and towels??

We were there for our friends' daughter's wedding reception at the Colington Clubhouse! The process was so easy renting this place (which was beautiful) and communication with the property manager was AMAZING!! Highly recommend this property!!

Wonderful family spot

This house had everything! Lots for kids to do, games, kayaking, a dock for jumping, pool/beach area was a very short drive! The house was stocked with lots of toiletries, cleaning products, kitchen necessities, indoor and outdoor games. The house was very spacious with lots of sleeping room. It was a peaceful and fun place to call home for a few days! Thank you!

The house really made up for it.

The moment we stepped into the house, we realized that we made the right decision. Every details of the house was very carefully arranged and prepared. We had a lot of rain while we were there but the house itself made up for it. Just staying in the house, looking out the window, cooking for the family...truly made us feel at home.

Very Nice Property in Scenic Area

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Property owners Tricia and Tim were extremely responsive to any questions or requests we had. Very nice area along water channel. It was extremely quiet and peaceful. Numerous things to do in the area. Kayaks available for use made for some nice early evening rides on the water and some great pictures.

Great Home in Colington Harbour

Hook, Wine and Sinker is a great home to stay in while visiting the Outer Banks! We had 6 adults and 4 kids plus a medium size dog and we all truly enjoyed the home setup, access to the water, private beach, community pool and the views. The bedrooms, bathrooms, open living area and multiple decks were wonderful. The screened in porch and dock access made kayaking and crabbing very easy to do each day. The drive to the public beach was only 10-15 minutes and access to the main road with all of the stores, restaurants, shops was great, while still being in a quiet community. We especially loved the community stores and restaurants that reside on Colington Road. Higher Grounds Coffee and Ice Cream Shop, Billy's Seafood market, and TJ's convenience store had all of things we needed if we did not want to go to the main road. The Colington Cafe and The Saltbox were two great restaurants that we all enjoyed. Kitty Hawk, Nags Head and Manteo were all easily accessible! We frequented the Freshfit Cafe and the new Lost Colony brewery in Nags Head, Barrier Island Bagels in Kitty Hawk and did an amazing sunset cruise with the OBX Pontoon Man - Randy. This was our first visit to the Outer Banks and our stay at Hook, Wine and Sinker was a wonderful experience for our family. A special thanks to Tricia and Tim for being such great hosts!

A dream!

The house was lovely, the views were beautiful. The owners were always available if we needed them and took care of any issues immediately. The location was great, far enough away from the main road to be quiet but close enough that nothing required more than a 10 minute drive. The beaches were clean, not too crowded, and the surf wasn't battering my kids. Food was amazing. There is a ton for kids outside of the beach too, we did a trampoline park, go karts, and an escape room! We will definitely be back!

Great house on the water.

The house was very clean and everything felt brand new. Plenty of beds for a family or get together. Beautiful views and a fairly large yard as well. Right on the water, there were kayaks in the garage but we didn't try them out. There was an outdoor charcoal grill for cooking out. Great screened in sun room. Safe neighborhood. Our small pets loved it as well. Right next to the Wright Brothers Memorial and short drive to all the restaurants and beach.
