I can't say enough good things about this location. It was a quick trip for me and a friend and the weather was less than desirable, but the staff was friendly and professional from beginning to end. They were helpful and went beyond what some do so it helped to make up for the rain. Room was clean with ample towels and basic kitchen needs and the view was fabulous so we will definitely go back for a redo. Thanks Mary and Tavia!

So many choices on the Outer Banks but this review had all the things we look for. Hotel was safe and quiet, and it was off the road, the Hwy is busy and you will hear noise if your in one of the hotels that are on the Hwy. Clerk was very nice too. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever in the area.

This is a classic beach hotel, with bbq grills, corn hole, beach toys you can borrow from the office. The rooms are very spacious and clean and you can walk right out to the ocean. We had a wonderful time here.

Door entry to room was a bigger step than prepared for as a disabled person. It required striding over a step of approx 4-5 inches high and then stepping down another 4-5 inches into room to enter. Otherwise all most acceptable. Really liked the room!

The front desk actually called me when my room was ready! I have never had lodging do that voluntarily. Very sweet staff and clean accommodations that all appear to be recently updated. OB Motor Lodge was a pleasant surprise and good value. Will be back again!

Very reasonably priced for all the accommodations. Enjoyed the kitchenette along with the full sized fridge. Short walk to the ocean. All the lotions, and soaps were in dispenser form. Missed not having Kleenex or an iron; but that was minor.

While the main hotel looked inviting, we had the end unit near the road. It was very loud (traffic noise) and the blackout shades couldn’t stop the light from shining in the window all night long. The room was nicely updated. I wish I could rate it better, but I simply cannot.

We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay. You did book on the same day of arrival on a busy April Saturday, we had baseball tournaments and it was the start of OBX Bike Week. Our poolside rooms do run the length of our property from near the road to the ocean. It was a sold out Saturday and we did get the last room available.

The location was right on the ocean, very nice. The room was very small and dated and the heater/AC unit was so noisy that we couldn't sleep.

We are sorry you did not have a better stay. We have several room sizes to fit group sizes and budgets. You did reserve our smallest, least expensive room, perhaps a larger room would have been a better choice for you. Thanks for staying with us.

We stayed 2 nights here for our 20th Anniversary. Rooms were very clean and staff was very friendly. The shower had very hot water and great pressure. Also very affordable. The bed was not as soft but we still slept well. It was cold everyday but it was close to shopping centers and other stores things to do.

So sorry you felt your stay was not up to par. We wish you would have voiced your issues while you were here or in your review so we could be aware and handle them. We see you stayed for just one night and chose our least expensive room, we do have several room types and perhaps a larger room would have been more suitable to you. Sorry you were not satisfied.

I picked this one because of how close the beach was to the rooms.I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and modern the renovations were. Staff was super sweet an accommodating. Definitely will be back.

We were very late arriving, our keys were in an envelope taped to the front door if the office. In a different locale, that would be a worry keys would be stolen. Not a problem at this lodging. Very safe-feeling area. Sand dunes and ocean steps away.

I wanted to stay someplace where I could see the ocean out my window and sit on a porch or balcony. This place was perfect and you walk right out onto the beach! It was a comfortable, clean stay and I would definitely return again. Very affordable in off season too!!

An older motel but refurbished nicely. Office is only opened 10-6pm so didn't see anyone working there. Left room keys for us at office. Clean and as described. enjoyed our stay.
