Beautiful view, enormous house, spacious rooms, and right in front of the beach. Had issues with tv's not being connected to the internet, one dishwasher not working, one hot tub not working for 2 days, the ice dispenser not working and the elevator was hit or miss. We contacted management and they would sent over someone to fix the issues.

Check-in was easy and the location and amenities were great. There were a few housekeeping and maintenance concerns that we reported when we arrived but it took a couple of days to get a reply - nothing major. Once they issued work orders, someone was out promptly to assess. The rooms were much smaller than expected from the photos which wasn't a huge deal but it was surprising and caused us to rearrange our room assignments a bit at the last minute. All in all a great stay - fabulous location, great pool and spas, kitchen was well equipped and we LOVED being able to all be in one place together!

Fifth Year Family Vacation

Our family just finished our fifth annual vacation and our first time staying at this incredible VRBO property, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! With 24 spacious bedrooms and 22 bathrooms, it comfortably fit our large group, giving everyone both privacy and plenty of common space for family time. The location is unbeatable — right on the beach with stunning views and direct access, making it so easy to enjoy every part of our stay. We had a blast and are already planning to return next year. Highly recommend for any large gathering!

Large family vacation

Overall the property was great for large group, plenty of bedrooms. Some things broken and needing repaired and sometimes long waits to get through tho guest services, but overall the family really enjoyed.

Amazing time @ Kill Devil Hills

We were blown away from our time! Great house that accommodated everyone! Clean, great views. Pool was great. Beach was perfect. Great amenities. Kitchen was fully stocked.

Kill Devil Hills House

The house was great for our group and had many rooms and great common areas with lots of games and entertainment including a theater. The master bedrooms and kids' rooms were perfect. The gas stove was great in the kitchen and there were lots of refrigerators and a commercial ice maker (someone had removed the drawers from a couple of the refrigerators which we found in the pantry). None of the soap/shampoo dispensers in the showers worked. When we checked in, the windows facing the ocean were dirty with sand and spray--we cleaned them ourselves. The check-in information had the wrong wifi network and password, but there were sheets with the correct wifi information. One of the child-proof gates to the pool was broken and they did not fix it until Thursday even though we had several young children. There were two gas grills with full propane tanks. They were a little worn but worked fine after we cleaned them. We would go there again.

Upon arrival there were giant bags of clean and dirty laundry on the floor, not all rooms were cleaned, after having housekeeping back out and their assurance that rooms were clean, 3 guests had sand in their beds, and we had 3 occurances of bugs that looked like cockroaches! In addition we paid extra to have to pool opened, but the pool area was filthy. We spent the first evening cleaning. Disappointed to say the least.

Exceeded Our Expectations

Pros: - house well exceeded expectations beyond the rental description - plenty of refrigerator/freezer space, one or more on every floor - well laid out house, plenty of room to gather all together yet enough smaller areas to break out into smaller groups, the house could just swallow up our family groups for smaller gatherings - great pool and beach access - daily beach canopy and chair service was wonderful - well furnished - well appointed including games and pool table ping pong supplies - well thought out instructions for the TVs and entertainment appliances - very responsive property management Cons: - house should have been cleaner (but understandable w current staffing shortages in the area) - specialty maintain/repairs (ice maker, arcade game, outside TV) weren’t executed 10 out of 10, will repeat!

We rented Oceans 24 and took our family of 35 to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The house was perfect. We had lots of room to spread out and the main kitchen/living area was very spacious. There is an ample supply of dishes, glasses and cookware. The house is close to stores and restaurants. We had a wonderful time.

Outer Banks Off-season

Ocean 24 review

Checked in for a family vacation for 4 days. Numerous things didn’t work . Kitchen appliances were terrible, not equipped for large party. Maintenance came to clean our pool , and told us they would be able to check it., and give ok to use, never returned. Elevator broke, and maintenance didn’t come to fix. We had handicapped individuals in our party that had to be carried down the stairs along with w/c. Several calls made, with no return calls.

This proper was amazing! Lots of room and amenities. We had a group of 17 and had a great time....great pool, easy beach access, 2 hot tubs, plenty of refrigerator space. Only issue was cleanliness with the outdoor space - the tables were still dirty and the pool had dead bugs in it. Easy fixes for sure and did not take away from the stay at all.
