It was clean. The unit could use some updating. The king size bed kept the bedroom door from closing. Only had 1 tiny 3 drawer dresser. Not quite big enough for 2 people staying for a week.

Nice quiet place

Place was very nice, only complaint was the shower was luke warm to cool. I went to the office and asked them to have someone look at it. I don't know if anyone did, we didn't see anyone but we were out most of the time, either way it never got any warmer.

Thanksgiving week

Great location. Needs updated furniture. Sticky cabinets, old tired and broken outdoor furniture. One very thin blanket for 2 beds. I wouldn't dare use the big, upholstered comforter from 1970..... Yuck. We know it was thanksgiving week but multiple messages we left went unanswered. No one could retrieve and return one call. It is the hospitality industry!

Great Location

the location is great for key west. under a half mile walk to anywhere was our joke for the week. Never heard any noise from Duval, but a simple and fast walk to the bars! Also, an easy walk to the Taylor State park which was awesome. Check in was confusing, however the detailed directions saved the day! I would stay here again when I come back to Key West

Wouldn't stay again

Furniture was in poor condition,Had to repair toilet several times,my wife tripped on loose metel strip on top of stairs,Had to clean unit floors, Crumbs and trash in fold out bed, pictures are available upon request,For the price we paid it was awful, also Management would not allow more than 1 car in complex and was not helpful in finding parking for guest,

A week in Key West

I loved all the hangers in the closet, washer/dryer and detergent to wash our clothes before we had to repack them. The complex was incredibly quiet, you are 2 blocks from all the Duval parties. The free Duval loop was a block away. The bike rental shop was a block away. Kitchen had all the dishes you could possibly need. The AC and the fans worked great.

Everything but the beds

This is an excellent location with easy access to old town and Fort Zachary Taylor beach! Welcoming living space which was well supplied, and nice pool conveniently located. Truly our only complaint was that the beds were extremely uncomfortable, especially not great for a nine day stay. FYI, there are steep steps up to the condo but that was not an issue for us.

Great First Trip to Key West

There are lots of great places to eat within walking distance from Truman Annex. There are even more options if you can walk about a mile. Walking a mile in the August heat was a challenge though. If you are driving, parking can be a bit of a hassle. This was our first trip to Key West but I can guarantee that it won't be our last.

Perfect place for us. May 2021

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Sand Crab Cabana. The property was exactly as shown in the pictures. We loved enjoying our coffee on the deck in the mornings. We were a short walk from the Waterfront Park where we watched the sunsets in the evening. The washer/dryer combo was very convenient. We will definitely be back!

Review

Property was dated and in need of upgrades. Mattress was old and worn, as was the bedding. Overall, furniture was worn and uncomfortable. Water was warm at best - impossible to get a hot shower or hot water in kitchen sink. The door on the bedroom couldn’t close because of the confined space, so privacy or sleeping in was impossible. Location is good overall, parking was good and pool area was small but adequate.

Great location with security and responsive office staff

We loved the neighborhood feel of the sidewalks, white picket fences, and colored houses. Within 20 min walk to everything and on the free Duval Bus Loop so could make it w/o a car if you wanted. Very clean and quiet, assigned parking, comfortable king bed with extra pillows, washer and dryer. Granted late check out which was greatly appreciated.

Lovely Area

For the second time I have stayed in the Truman Annex. Years ago in a house and this time in the condos. It was a quite area just a few blocks off of Duval St. When entering the condo it was clean and very well kept. We were just a few minutes from the Duval Loop free bus to get around town. Management was very nice and answered all questions. I would stay there again at anytime I visit. Thank you

A delightful location

Centrally located within walking distance to just about anything and Duval Loop convenience stop just outside the complex. Wonderful pool area and all we needed. Bed incredibly firm..which is great if you like that.
