We booked this property specifically for the private pool, so finding out the heater was broken—with no notice—was incredibly disappointing. We only learned about it when the maintenance tech arrived on Tuesday for a washing machine delivery. On Wednesday, after the door lock batteries died, I asked Mark for an update and was told a part was ordered. By Thursday, the same maintenance worker showed up unannounced and walked right in, only to tell us the heater actually needed to be replaced entirely. Still no apology, and no offer of even a small refund, despite how much this place costs.The washing machine issue was also never communicated beforehand. A stranger walking into the property shortly after check‑in to inspect it was unsettling, and that’s when we learned it wouldn’t be replaced until Tuesday.For the price, basic communication should be standard—especially when multiple issues affect the stay. Routine maintenance is also overdue: the black mold mentioned in past reviews is still in the shower, paint is peeling on the ceiling, and the property needs general TLC. The photos clearly reflect a much newer condition than what we experienced.We tried to make the best of our trip, but between the unusable pool, lack of communication, unannounced entries, and ongoing maintenance issues, we left disappointed. At the very least, a small refund should have been offered—and I still believe it should be.
