Second Stay
This was the second year in a row we have stayed in this unit. The low rating for online accuracy was because the listing did not show all the wonderful new furnishings. for what we do in Key West this is an excellent place to stay for the price.

Quaint, quiet and cozy
This is a cozy little apartment in a quiet neighborhood near Duval St. It was far enough off Duval to be away from all the craziness, but just a short walk away when you want to enjoy the nightlife. The kitchen was sufficiently supplied to fix light meals, which definitely helped to save a buck or two. The bathroom is very small, but more than adequate for its purpose. The bed/living room is small with limited sitting area. If you move the chairs to watch tv, it becomes very crowded. As my husband is visually impaired, we chose to just sit on the bed. I would consider hanging the tv on the wall and putting a smaller dresser in to give a little more room. The patio is nice, but the seat near the AC can get a little hot. Overall, I would recommend this property for someone who wants a quiet getaway that is still close to the action.

You get what you pay for April 2023
Unit was clean enough but the bed sounded like it was going to collapse every time someone moved. The bathroom needs LOTS of help. Had to put soap, shampoo etc on the floor, no shelves. Bathroom in general is way too small, and I’m not oversized! Can’t use patio because of AC unit blowing hot air, plus not much room anyway. Won’t stay there again

Cozy cottage that's close to everything.
It's just as advertised and the pictures are accurate. I arrived several hours before check-in and was able to leave my luggage at the rental office. The customer service was very good. They texted me that evening to make sure that everything was okay. They called the next morning--not too early though--and asked about my stay and advised me to call if I needed anything. I did have to call later that day and spoke to Victoria about a maintenance issue. She said that she would send someone over to look at it. I advised her that I was going out for brunch and by the time I returned to the cottage the issue was fixed. Nice cozy "cottage" just a block from Upper Duval. I was able to walk to everything. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Southern Most Cafe and 15-20 minutes to Lower Duval--Sloppy Joe's, Captain Tony's and Mallory Square where you can watch the beautiful sunsets. If you're looking for somewhere to go for breakfast or brunch be sure to check out Frenchy's Cafe, Moon Dog Cafe or Sarabeth's--about a 5 minute walk. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Key West.

The good… GREAT location, good bedroom and decent kitchen The bad…. Our porch was cute but almost unusable since A/C unit blew hot air on it. Also neighbors smoked cigars outside and that reeked. Busted toaster. Bathroom needs more shelving / Hooks. No soap caddy in shower so you have to put soap and shampoos on the floor. Hard to access Could use some kind of divider between kitchen and bedroom. Any light from bathroom or kitchen disturbs sleeper. The ugly.. two nails (pointy side) pointing INTO shower near shower handle. I did report this and hope it’s rectified immediately. Pictures of the bathroom are not accurate. Maybe they’re in the process of remodeling?

The property could use some simple improvements. The bed sounded like it was ready to collapse on the floor every time you moved in it. The toaster in the kitchen did not work. The A/C unit needed to have its filter replaced (it smelled stale and dusty). We were never able to connect to the Wi-Fi they specified. (we were able to use our phone hot spots)

An affordable and overall neat little suit that's within walkable distance of many of Key West's major attractions. It was relatively clean, and the property management does a great job checking in with visitors to make sure all is well. I did spot a couple of ants on the property in the kitchen and bathroom area, but not enough for it to be a great concern. Would definitely recommend if you just need a place to crash while vacationing in the area.

Great day long nights
Overall okay time but the bed looked bigger than it was. Bathroom was extremely small ,extremely . Some hooks to hang up a towels would be a good idea. A closes line to hang wet bathing suits would be a good idea. And the roof is leaking buy the closet.

Nice place to relax
For a three night stay, two blocks from Duval, you can't beat this cozy rental for a couple. Plenty of towels, bath as well as beach towels and plenty of cookware/dishes. Bring your own spices and any food you wish to cook. This place is quiet. It is part of a complex - 3 small units across the back and 3 more in front. Place feels private and is a relaxing spot to stay in Key West.

Parking - NIGHTMARE
This is what was sent to us in the check-in procedure regarding the parking for this property: “Please note that there is street parking only. Spots can be limited. The neighborhoods of Old Town offer some free parking spaces, but be aware that many of the spots are marked “Residential Only” and visitors are NOT permitted to park in them.” We check-in and found a parking spot on the street around the corner from the property. The next morning we had a $55.00 parking ticket on our car. When I reported this to VACASSA, which is the property manager company for this property we were told that the parking information was given to us in detail at the time of booking. I could tell they were not going to work with me to resolve the issue, I told them I would outline the details in my online review in order to help others understand the situation with parking for this rental property. Here it is: There is no parking spot for this property. There is no “on street parking” for this property any where near the rental. All on street parking near this property is for “Residents Only”. It is not clearly marked, as the City of Key West has not done a good job to mark residential areas accordingly. If you park on the street in residential areas you must have a permit sticker to do so; otherwise, you will get a ticket just like we did for $55.00 per day. Parking is only available in “Public Parking” lots at a rate of $30.00-45.00 per day. The closest parking lot with spots available for us during our stay was 0.5 miles away. If there wasn’t spots available we would have had to hike up to a mile away to park the car. This means you will be making multiple trips to unload, and make sure to add this as an additional expense to your trip. Maps with public parking lots for renters would be helpful as well specific details on the parking situation for this property. VACASSA did not want to help in this situation and they will be your contact for any issues regarding your stay. When you get a response like: “you were told and have a wonderful day” says everything about who your working with to resolve issues. This property is nothing special and most other rentals in the same nightly price range have designated parking available.

Great little cottage
Very clean cottage, and easy check in/out. Beware of the bathroom door- you can not have the shower door and bathroom door open at the same time. Also, make sure to be inside the shower with the shower door CLOSED or else the water will literally spray all over the floor. Adjusting the knob won’t help btw… also there is a scooter rental place right across the street! RENT A SCOOTER! It will save your feet.

Great location, clean and perfect for a long weekend!
My fiancee' and I were in Key West for a wedding and the location was perfect! Comfortable bed, really clean, and a nice TV. Bathroom is nice but can be a little awkward to get used to. Highly recommend staying here though. When we go back to Key West, we will be staying here. One street over from Duvall as well!

Location is excellent, quiet area. You must try the dessert restaurant on the corner (Better than Sex). The place itself was fine for sleeping. Could use some updating in a few areas, but it was clean and close to all the action. Easy check in and out process. Multiple phone calls from the company to check on us.

Only a Great location
Kitchen sink leaks, bathroom sink leaks 4 long sharp screws in shower door and handle Ac doesn’t keep the room cool enough to sleep. The bed is very uncomfortable! Bedroom and bathroom paint is horrible that’s why you only get a kitchen view online !!

Wonderful place right off Duval st where the action is ... but quiet enough to enjoy the patio. Would stay here again! Nothing fancy, but perfect for 2 people and a long weekend. Cozy and Close to Everything
Reserved this to spend our 52nd anniversary back in Key West where we spent a week 30 years ago! Liked the spot very much as it was walking distance to everything in Old Town. Parking is a possible problem, but we found a spot in an alley across the street and never moved the car while we were there. Unit is older, but comfortable and the old bedroom suite was really pretty. would recommend

The Good, the Disappointing, and the Annoying
My wife and I love staying in VRBOs but this is our first stay that isn’t locally owned, and the first place that I would rate less than a four star. The Good: We have had excellent communication with the company that owns this unit. A few days before our trip we received a boilerplate email with some basic information about our stay. I called the local number to find out about the free shuttle service. After we landed, I called again, and shuttle arrived in less than 15 minutes. Impressive! Also, Wi-Fi worked fine and the location (a short walk to Duval Street) was wonderful. Boring but Important: We noticed that for soap, conditioner, and shampoo, ecologically friendly products were available for our use, which is greatly appreciated. The Disappointing: There was no comfortable on the property just too relax. The property consisted of several cottages tightly jammed together. While we had a porch, it was connected to two other porches divided by a railing. However, even that space is tight. There are four air conditioning units that we had to listen to as we sat on our porch. The sun would hit the porch for only about ½ an hour in the late morning. To make matters worse our neighbor was a smoker and would spend a good part of her day sitting on the porch smoking. The Annoying: The kitchen light had a loud hum to it, so we tried to use it as little as possible. Though the leak at the base of the toilet was to have been fixed there was some leakage. There was no way to turn on the shower without getting water on the floor. The whole bathroom could use a little updating. Perhaps the lack of care could come from not being locally owned. Bottom Line: Even though we had rented and paid for the unit for a week we moved down the street a block to a guest house that had a large patio and pool sitting area where we could just relax and for less money. You will note that most of the other reviews for this place are very positive, so our concerns may not be the concerns of most people who vacation in Key West. Probably if you are the type that are on the go the whole time and only need a room to sleep in this will work for you. But if you want a little relaxing time you might want to consider somewhere else and it might even cost less. Remember that with VRBO the initial price you see doesn’t reflect the additional charges. That just the way VRBO works.

Perfect Key West Experience
The cottage was clean and cozy, and perfect for our weekend stay. We were lucky enough to find a parking space out front and because of the location, we could walk to everything.

With work, could be a nice place.
Several issues with this place that could be corrected to make it a very nice place. The "free" shuttle from the airport had a hour to hour and a half wait when we got there. After we got an Urber to the unit, the door would not open, turns out the door is misaligned and you have to push in on the door so the electric lock can lock or unlock. The door would only stay closed if it were deadbolted because of the misalignment, not convenient if you want to sit outside. About 1/2 the small patio is unusable because the A/C unit vents hot air there, making to hot to sit there. As we were changing clothes to go to dinner,(naked) the door opened with a house keeping girl dropping off coffee... We asked for no housekeeping on the 3rd day, they came anyway. The toilet tank leaked, so there was a constant puddle on the floor, we just kept a towel on it. Many small ants around the stove, refrigerator. Many of the electric outlets are worn so devices would not stay plugged in. The WI-Fi was off as much as it worked. There were no extra blankets, but there were 2 twin mattress pads....the unit only has a queen bed...Could not close/lock the bathroom door because of its misalignment. The shower head sprays through the shower caddy, making quite a defused spray...Several of the drawers on the dresser were missing handles... It is a quiet, convenient location, easy walking distance to many popular spots. With a little work it could be a very nice place to stay. We just had too many issues to recommend it.

We appreciate such specific feedback to work with and are sorry to see our guest was not fully satisfied with their visit. The shuttle can be scheduled in advance by calling the local office to cut down on wait time; the front door has been repaired so it opens and stays closed; there is a 'do not disturb' sign for guests to utilize if they do not want housekeeping, and we do apologize for the intrusion; the toilet has been repaired; the unit has been treated by pest control; all outlets worked when tested, as did the WiFi; we have removed the unnecessary mattress pads and provided additional blankets; the bathroom door has been fixed; the shower head has been fixed; and the dressers all have their handles. We hope to have another chance to impress our guest!

Cute rental in Key West
This was a very cute vacation suite. It had everything we needed however the bed was so uncomfortable we hardly slept the whole 3 days we were there. Pillows were terrible aswell. The fitted sheet kept coming off. Also not much room to move around in the bathroom. Sorry to be so negative but you ask for our comments.

Perfect Spot
This place was perfect for us. The room was clean and comfortable. Yes...the bathroom is small, but a big bathroom is not on our top 10 list of important things when we travel. What is is location, cleanliness, comfortable bed, cold a/c, hot water and reasonable price. Checks on all those things. Thank you and we'll be back!
