SUPER COTTAGE.

Crag Cottage is a lovely home from home. Ideally situated just a very short distance from Keswick town centre, but quiet & peaceful too. Well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. High quality furniture & fixtures. The only reservation we had was the need to "tidy up" the interior white-work & update the porch/back door where the wood is rotten. However, this doesn't detract from what is a super Keswick cottage. We loved our stay at Crag Cottage & were sad to leave. Thank you Ariadna.

RENTERS BEWARE: MOLD AND PLUMBING ISSUES

Great location - bad conditions. Pictures and reviews are old. Won’t return. See photo documentation. We have stayed at countless Vrbo places over 20 years, and this is the first bad review that I regretfully have to write - for your information. We decided to work around it since it was a short stay. However, on our last day when I told the owner that these things should be fixed “before renting again”, they said they were aware of it but wouldn’t be doing anything until the fall!! Therefore, you are stuck with these conditions. New tub, but thick mold and rot around. Makes you not want to go in. Sink barely drains. The owner said it was “a problem in the area”, but that is incorrect. The tub and kitchen sink drain well. The sink pop-up needs to be removed and the drain cleaned out. It’s easy, but messy. Now add general housekeeping issues, all easy to do - but weren’t done: Crumbs all around back of kitchen chairs. Cutlery and glass ware left with a film. Didn’t want to touch them. Needed to thooughly wash all. Pan left in oven with old bits inside - don’t want to know about that. Carpeting/flooring feels greasy in areas and “sticky” in others. Stained old leather couch, yuck. Couldn’t sit there without putting a blanket down.

Fantastic location!

Lovely property in an amazing location! Clean and well equipped. Very happy and will definitely come back. Only one very slight negative, could have done with more towels, particularly hand towels! But so minor!

Perfect convenient location in the centre of Keswick while also nice and quiet. Good communication from the owner, and a nice little cottage to stay in. However, the cottage could have been better prepared and stocked, as we needed to ask for toiled paper and firewood from the owner after discovering they weren't there, and a few items you would expect were either running low or exhausted - sugar, salt / pepper, washing up liquid etc. Also could do with a little maintenance in the bathroom - the shower screen leaks water onto the floor, and the bath plughole is partially blocked.

A few days away

I was looking for a place to sleep and relax in whilst exploring the town and venturing further out on the trails. This cottage was perfect for that! On the back of the main high street so you couldn’t ask for a better place location wise! Would happily stay again!

Keswick break away

Great little cottage right in heart of beautiful Keswick. Location excellent and the bonus of parking. Plenty of room in cottage and easily could accommodate 4 although owners only allow 3. It was only the 2 of us so we only used one bedroom. The other room is very spacious with a single bed. Love walking in the fells and climbed the cat bells. Great few days away and would recommend staying here.

Lovely quant cottage, very clean and quiet , great location just off main shopping street. Great having a parking space although a tight squeeze to get into. Would definitely recommend cottage and Keswick as a destination.

Valentine's weekend break

Very clean and nicely situated. The communication with the owner was a lttle dissapointing. Failed to respond to feedback message we left which raised a couple of concerns. Overall, a nice weekend stay, despite storm Dennis!

Fantastic place in perfect location

Really well placed in the centre of Keswick and having a parking space is priceless. Couldn't fault anything really other than the coffee table has been broken and poorly fixed so is fairly unstable so be very careful.

Lakeland bliss

Having spent the weekend in this property we would whole heartedly recommend this place, wonderful owner with a beautiful cottage and the perfect location for a short break. From first enquiring through booking and communication with the owner everything was very easy and relaxed, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be returning in the future..

Great stay

Amazing property for my husband and I to stay in for a short break to Keswick. The cottage was warm, cozy and beautifully decorated. There was plenty of space to move around and had everything that we could want as a home away from home. The location of the property was brilliant as it was just a short walk to the main street where all the shops, bars and restaurants are. Also just a short walk away from the lake. Had an amazing time at the cottage and will definitely be back. Would recommend this cottage.
