A delightful character cottage lovingly restored by the owners, using traditional materials and complimented with quality furnishings, a modern well equipped kitchen and bathroom. There is a cosy wood burner set in the original feature stone fireplace, and from bedroom 1, there is a glimpse of the lake. The stairs are original and are steep with a turn at the bottom. Guests with a physical or visual impairments may not find this suitable. The recently refurbished bathroom is downstairs as is typical if this type of property. 1 Tower Cottage has a courtyard setting away from the road and is one of several cottages converted from the former grooms cottages of The Towers, now known as the Derwentwater Apartments. There are lovely walks from the cottage, both around the lake and onto the fells , or to Catbells and a footpath into Keswick. A bus service runs through the village.
