"Brandlehow is the perfect place to relax and refuel. The location is superb, nestled in the woodlands and on the shores of Derwentwater. Most days began with a coffee overlooking the lake, watching the sunrise and the cloud disperse. Beautiful walks from the doorstep and of course a lot of kayaking right from the door. "Our 6th stay at this warm , comfortable home from home . If we could award 6 stars we would . Kept in pristine condition by the super star housekeeper . Owned by kind , generous people who seem to really care about the wellbeing of their guests. Sarah and the team at Keswick Cottages manage the property in an efficient and friendly way. "Our second stay at Glen Cottage. Great location for exploring north western lake district. Really useful to have a parking space, superb walks accessible from the cottage, set in a lovely village with 3 pubs and 2 cafes within walking distance too. Cottage has been extremely well refurbished and a super place to stay in any season. Log burner nice to have in winter but took some lighting and the use of firelighters might have helped with this."

"The cottage we stayed in was very nice and loads of space . An ideal location for trail running and long dog walks Threlkeld and keswick were not far away. Loved the doggy treats that were left out. Our only complaint would be that the tv in the lounge had no freeview channels . Had to mirror with my phone. The log burner was lovely and comforting. "I really don’t want to write a review because then everyone else will know about this place , Fantastic , immaculate , really well equipped house , I was a bit worried not having a garden with 3 dogs but the park being 30 seconds walk away made up for that. Parking was free and a minutes walk away as was the town centre. "We were all in all very happy with the flat. It is very cozy and mostly well taken care off. It is located right between the center and the lake, but was not noisy at all. Unfortunately, the oven was not working in the beginning, but someone came to fix it right away, when we informed about it. The kitchen has everything one needs. The only thing that was a bit annoying was that we were provided with only one set of keys."
