The Royal Oak Hotel, Welshpool, Mid Wales
Excellent breakfast. No lift to second floor which was disappointing but staff were on hand to help with bags. Central location ideal. Staff were always cheerful and smiling which was lovely to see.

Check in was quick and easy, the room was clean but there was very little space and no coat hooks or hooks for towels in bathroom. Host was great, answered all my questions and even gave us a bottle of prosecco for my girlfriends 21st, if your looking for a short trip away somewhere new, I would recommend!

Cottage at Vennington, near Shrewsbury
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a beautiful and immaculately clean cottage in a lovely, quiet setting. There were lovely touches like board games, dvds and books on the local area in the cottage. We would definitely recommend staying here.
