We arrived on Thursday night to no heat, contacted Vacasa and was on the phone for over an hour with no solution other than to call VRBO. The house was also infested with mice, there were droppings everywhere including the silverware draw, VRBO did act as a mediator and after four hours we were relocated to a new house, but further than we wanted to be from our events. We lost our entire first night and part of Friday due to not getting to bed until 2am. Plus we were 20 minutes from where we needed to be.

The house and location were perfect for a weekend away in Maine. The downside was that we had chosen this house as it had a fireplace to have some cozy nights inside in late October, but it was apparent from the first evening when we contacted management, that they knew about the issue with the fireplace in advance and didn't warn us that it wasn't working. Unfortunately, when we woke up our second morning the house was freezing and the thermostat wasn't working. We contacted Vacasa, who was responsive, and we took action on what they suggested, but then we left for the day and didn't return back til the afternoon. The house was freezing, and we had to wait for maintenance to come to the house, where he restarted the furnace, but the thermostat still had some issues, meaning we could not adjust it, and he said if it got too hot to just unplug it.. We were only there for a short amount of time, so it took away from our ability to actually enjoy our stay as we were trying to figure out the fireplace and/or the heating. Maybe in the summer it would have been better.

The house is nice, perfect for a family or small group. It’s well appointed with towels for bath and beach. Everything worked and kitchen was sufficiently stocked with utensils pots pans plates etc. my criticism is the booking was managed by Vacasa and they are next to useless when it came to any questions we had. The outside of the house could use some love, better outside seating set up etc. Be mindful of the weather as the house doesn’t have any central a/c but there are a few window units one in each bedroom none in the main living area though. Plenty of fans throughout the house both ceiling and box fans so you can get the air moving but you need to work for it. I’d suggest having the cleaning crew move the couch in the living room, or slides easily and was pretty nasty underneath. Overall a perfectly fine house to stay for the week, walkable to town, you’ll probably want to drive to the beach if you have little kids. Parking is limited at the beach so get there early

Charming house, awful check in

First, we were notified 2 hours prior to arrival of construction on street in front of house that started at 6:30 am- 4:30 pm. Very noisy. Second, entrance code did not work and it was 102 degrees outside, Third, the house amenities were misrepresented with A/C when there was only one window unit upstairs in one bedroom. Unacceptable.

Great Location

House was clean and comfortable. Great location for walking into town. There were 6 of us and so we had to use the sleeper sofa. This was a little problematic as there was no door to the room the sofa was in - it was directly off the kitchen. No privacy. The back yard was adequate as were the plastic chairs tho not the most comfortable. Not really a place to hang out. Appreciated the welcome pack from Vacasa with laundry and dishwasher packets.

Amazing location, great space

Loved the house: had everything. Check in was a little wonky: the code did not work but we called the management company and used the lockbox. The smoke alarm in the basement (locked) was also beeping but the management company helped us get access to fix it. Overall amazing house and perfect location: walk to the lower village downtown.

Perfect Getaway

It’s exactly like the pictures. Everything is provided for you down to the coffee pods. It’s super close to everything. Even the beach if you’re up for a nice stroll. Unfortunately there was roadwork being done during our stay so we had to drive during the day but that didn’t deter us. We specifically chose to go during the off season so no complaints. We look forward to a future stay most likely during the off season again to avoid crowds.

Girls Weekend

We do an annual Christmas shopping weekend and this year decided to try Kennebunkport. The house was perfect for the 4 of us. It was very clean, comfortable and within walking distance to local restaurants. The only issue we had was the kitchen wasn’t well equipped if you like to cook. There were no large pots, or cooking utensils but we were able to make it work. We loved the house and are hoping to go back in warmer weather.

Enjoyed our stay at this house

The house is better than pictures shown on Vrbo. Very spacious. Beds were very comfortable, including the pull out couch bed in the den. Knowing there is no AC, was excited the bedrooms had window AC units. It is a short block to really nice breakfast/lunch restaurant and walking distance to Dock Harbor. Will consider this house again for future east coast trips.

Quiet and Walkable

We had a lovely stay in Kennebunk! It was easy to walk to the beach or the town, and the home itself is sweet and comfortable. We all slept will in the beds and highly recommend this rental overall.

The home was lovely, spacious, clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay. The walk into town was short, so it was nice to leave the car behind. We would absolutely stay here again, as well as recommend to friends and family!

Wonderful for Family

We loved staying at Quaint Bungalow in Kennebunk. Small "study" off the kitchen is perfect for a third bedroom...we had a blowup bed for a 3 year old. The master is quite spacious. Bathrooms are both more than adequate...downstairs is a walkin shower, upstairs a tub/shower. The open concept is perfect and the year round porch is beautiful. Location is perfect to walk to town but bring a stroller for the littles. We had no trouble parking for the Kennebunk beaches 3rd week in June. We had an issue with the finicky lock code to get in but we received excellent help from the folks at Vacasa. Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to be close to the action but not in town.

Great vacation home

Home as photos depicted - exceptionally clean, well decorated with nice furniture, spacious and convenient location. Enjoyed morning coffee in front porch sunroom and nights in living room with fireplace. Would highly recommend! Pet friendly for our 12 yr old lab was a plus! Had a great week in this New England home!
