Lake District Luxury Hideaway - Lambhowe Lodge

  • Lambhowe Lodge is a luxurious newly built home, set in the heart of the tranquil Lyth Valley, yet only a ten minute drive to lake Windermere & Bowness. Located on the entrance to Lambhowe caravan Park, it offers a beautiful, spacious & stylish space to enjoy quality time with family & friends. An Ideal base for exploring The Lake District with many superb eateries close by.

    Ground Floor:

    Spacious Kitchen-Diner, complete with an Aga and large dining table for 8, 2 leather sofas and a smart tv.

    Utility room with a separate toilet and basin.

    A beautiful lounge with an open fire, large smart tv, 2 large sofas and a table tennis table.

    Bedroom 1 - Sleeps 2. A large super king bed which can be split into 2 singles on request with an ensuite bathroom, comprising of a bath, shower, toilet and basin. Complete with a smart tv.


    The Play Room - Perfect for the children to hang out and play on the wii console or to dive into the array of board games. Complete with snuggly beanbags.

    Upstairs:

    Large Family Bathroom - complete with a large walk in shower, bath, toilet and basin.

    Bedroom 2 - sleeps 2. This is a spacious room with a double bed, window seat and smart tv.

    Bedroom 3 - sleeps 2. This room is almost identical to bedroom 3, with a double bed, window seat and smart tv.

    Bedroom 4 - sleeps 2. This beautiful bedroom has a super king size bed with an ensuite bathroom comprising of a shower, toilet, vanity unit and basin. Standard tv.

    Please note that due to the seclusion and location of the house on a private owners only holiday park, the house is not suitable for parties. Perfect for families and for groups of friends.

    The whole ground floor (bar one small room) and first floor can be used with the exception of the balcony over the lounge. This door has to remain closed at all times to comply with fire regulations. This door has been locked for your safety.

    Outside of the house, please keep to the confines of the house exterior footprint and the outdoor patio and AstroTurf areas. Please do not walk, run or jump off the stone wall bordering the house - thank you.

    Lambhowe Lodge is in a rural location so It is strongly recommended to have your own transport.



    ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
    The ground floor has level access via the main front door and Utility entrance side door. On the ground floor there is a utility room, WC, kitchen diner, 2 bedrooms (1 single and 1 master ensuite with a bath and shower) a games room and a lounge.
    Access with Steps- The remaining sleeping accommodation (2 double bedrooms and a master king size bedroom with an ensuite bathroom) and 1 large family bathroom are found on the first floor and are accessed by a flight of stairs.
    Both the main front door and side utility door into the house at ground level are accessed by 2 steps.
    Hearing - All TVs in the house have an option to turn on subtitles. Early fire detection alarms - Clients who have hearing concerns should provide their own solution of being alerted by the installed alarm system, installed throughout the property. To help you ensure compatibility full details of the installed alarm can be provided on request.
    Please be aware that if you are staying in an upstairs bedroom, you must be able to self-evacuate using the stairs.


    FIRE EVACUATION PLAN
    On arrival, please check your mobile signal. If your signal is weak, in the event of a fire you will need to use the landline in the wardens office (located just above and adjacent to Lambhowe Lodge) to call the emergency services.
    Lambhowe Lodge is fitted with smoke alarms in every room and corridor of the house. The smoke alarms are all interlinked and are checked on a monthly basis.
    Each bedroom has an emergency torch in the bedside cabinet. There is also emergency plug in lighting on both the ground and first floor corridors. Please do not remove any of the torches or emergency plug in lighting.
    Upon going to bed at night, please ensure that both glass doors which adjoin the ground floor corridor (from the kitchen to the lounge) are firmly shut at night. Signs have been placed on these doors as an extra reminder to guests.
    On hearing the fire/smoke alarms, you must self-evacuate immediately via the safest and nearest exit door. Do not collect any belongings or attempt to extinguish the fire yourself. Close all doors behind you as you leave the building. Once safely evacuated, call the fire service on 999 and do not re-enter the property until advised by the fire service. The postcode to give to the fire service is LA8 8JE – Lambhowe Caravan Park.
    Thee three main exit doors are all located on the ground floor. The first exit door is at the main entrance to the house which leads directly into the kitchen. The second exit door is to the side of the house, parallel to the outside seating area and astroturf. The third exit door is from the main lounge. Each exit door is fitted with a thumb turn lock so that you can escape the house in an emergency without needing to locate a key.
    Please note that the property has a self-evacuation policy and as such you must be able to self-evacuate within a reasonable time considered 3 minutes. Please evacuate outside to a place of ultimate safety. A safe distance away from the property is regarded as equal to the height of the property.
    Please ensure there is no over occupancy which will also incur a charge. Due to past experiences, we sadly cannot cater for parties, including stag and hen celebrations. Please do not bring garden furniture, bikes, scooters, canoes or any other outdoor equipment inside or move furniture about inside the house.
    No high heels or stilettos to be worn on the wooden floors as they will leave an imprint.
    No electric vehicles or electric bikes to be charged from the house.
    No fireworks to be set off.
    For your own safety do not walk, run or jump off the wall bordering the house. No disposable BBQ`s to be placed on the house wall or on the astro turf. Please place all ash from the fire into the ash bucket provided, located outside on the step by the log store. Never empty fire ash into an inside bin or outside wheely bin. Thank you.
    We do request that you have your own car or hire car when visiting this property, as it is quite remote, and taxis are not frequent.
