House was pretty clean, needed some minor maintenance. Hot tub didn’t work, they came and fixed good enough to use until new part comes in.

Wonderful Reunion Event Area!!

I had so many family members remark on how this was the best place to rent out for our family reunion. The place was spacious, felt like home and full of amenities. Teenagers loved the pool. The ONLY major issue was the sprinkler system running outside the backyard. It was clear it was a recycled septic sprinkler. The smell made being in the backyard while running unbearable. Luckily it only ran late at night. This was the only drawback. We still will be back but will make sure the sprinkler is turned off or bleach tablets killing the smell. The location of the rental was near Tom Finley Park where we went fishing. Also close to the Extended Stay at Gun Barrel City where the overflow of family members stayed. Like I said, will stay here again.

We had an amazing time at our family reunion at Blue Moon. The accommodations were perfect for our family of 30. The grill/smoker were awesome for our cook out. The jacuzzi and the pool were great! The kitchen was big and had plenty of utensils.A few recommendations: better WiFi, the mattresses could stand to be upgraded and please consider making the house ADA compliant. We would definitely consider using again.

Trade Days Family Trip

We had a wonderful time staying at this home and would definitely go again. It was perfect with all the activities to keep our teenagers happy and the bunk room was excellent. My only suggestion with that, is to carefully read the fine print as I was unaware when I paid that I was one person shy to include the bunkhouse. I did pay extra at check in and the owner was kind enough to send her cleaning crew over so the kids could get settled. The only other thing I would suggest to the owner is that the master bedroom bed is in need of replacing. Thanks for a great getaway!

Worked well for a large group of ladies!

Overall, the house was great for us. There were a few issues that I hope can be resolved before your next group. First, one toilet in the bunkhouse was very slow to fill up, so it wasn’t very usable. Also, the bunkhouse was not very clean. One girl had to brush away spider webs and ended up having two bites on her foot. Some of the sheets had a musty smell and the whole bunkhouse had an unpleasant odor. We didn’t know which internet provider we were to use. The password was available, but we had to call and ask which one to sign into. The person I spoke to was very kind, although he didn’t know which provider we were to use either.

Great Property for a Navy Family Reunion

It was a great property for 4 families to meet up and enjoy the outdoors. Couldn't ask for better weather and the kids enjoyed running around with each other outside and taking over the bunkhouse.

Family Vacation

This an awesome house with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy each other. The bunk room was great to play charades and be as loud as they wanted without disturbing the whole house. We have a family vacation each year and everyone agreed would definitely come back to this house again.

There were lots of comfy beds, nice bedding, and room to roam. Would have been nice to have a few more lg pots for cooking for a group. They worked hard to make sure we were comfortable. Thanks!

Space enough for Everyone

All went well from arrival to departure and the home was as advertised. Plenty of towels, plenty of activity diversions, plenty of room and a kitchen well stocked for those littler things that you may have forgotten. The only thing we had a problem with was the TV remotes but it was just a matter of getting used to the controls.

Great house and pool

First let me say that we had a great time and there were a lot of things great with the property. Wonderful lay out of the house. Loved the kitchen. Great outdoor space. There were a few issue that I think renters should be aware of. Not to change them from renting this property but just so they aren’t blindsided. It appears that one of the AC units has had problems for quite some time, so there are 5 window units that are used to cool 5 of the bedrooms, living, and kitchen/dining areas. The one unit was not working when we arrived. They worked on the AC for 2 days but after that nobody else came out. The window units will keep the house fairly cool and we just took advantage of the pool during the afternoon. You cannot run any appliance in the kitchen with the window unit running. It will flip the breaker. The breaker had been flipped so much it was loose. Be careful. We notified Trent on all these issues. He did send an electrician out but it was not fixed. After 2 days of waiting on service people and texting Trent we gave up and just decided to make do. We have rented properties for the last 13 years and sometimes there are issue. Again, we enjoyed the property and hope the owners will use this review to improve the property. Great memories were made and we have no regrets about renting this property. On a side note, we did not ask for compensation from the owner and none was given

I wish i coups give a 20 out of 10 stars. Trent was amazing!! Super helpful and friendly!!! The house couldn't have been more perfect for our group. We had 4 moms and 15 seniors and we all loved every minute of it!!!

Spacious and Relaxing

Our family reunion was held here and the space of this property was awesome for our group of nine, aged 11-62. The dining table was tremendously appreciated for seating our crowd for meals, games and activities. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of dishware. We enjoyed the fact of two refrigerators, two microwaves (though we never figured out how to work one!), multiple washers and dryers. Basic soaps, cleaning agents and bathroom needs were all supplied. The living room had enough comfy seating for all and the 6 bedrooms nice for spreading out for personal time. We enjoyed the two hot tubs and added space of patio. The property manager, Trent, was more communicative than any other we have had with a kind interest in our having a pleasant stay. He was also interested in guest point of view observations we shared about our stay. The location is out in the country and the roads there a bit rough so it is definitely quiet and peaceful if your gang is looking to cozy up and spend quality time together in a home that meets group needs. Its is located about an hour drive to Love Field if you are doing an airport run or heading downtown Dallas.

The best vacation house ever!!

We had a wonderful time staying here. Three generations of family. The game room was full of things to do. The hot tub was great. Plenty of room to do Christmas Cookies. It was clean and the kids loved the bunkhouse. Everything vas perfect.

Everything we desired and more!

This house was perfect for our family Christmas gathering! Christmas decorations were a perfect addition to the spacious house which accommodated for many people whether it was in the kitchen, dining area, living room, game area, or huge fenced in backyard! There were so many options for entertainment and the ability to enjoy one anthers company! Thank you for a great experience!

Don't Let The Pictures Fool You!!

The place was dirty. The dishes were dirty but put away. The dishes had food inside and on the outside. One dish had a seed left in it but was put away like it was clean. The stove was dirty. The kitchen ceiling fan had cob webs and dirt like it had never been cleaned. The couches in the living room with the big TV have never been cleaned. It was some of everything up under the cushions. There were no face cloths. They only had dirty stained towels in the closet. We had to go to Walmart and purchase towels and face clothes. The stains on all the towels was ridiculous. The sheets had stains on them and had to be washed before I could sleep on them. They had bugs inside the house and a wasp nest at one of the doors. There were two jacuzzis outside. One had frogs living in it and the other stinked. They both had leaves and other stuff floating in it. The pool had broken board and was too dangerous to have the children on, especially with no shoes. The shower was dirty. They did not clean the strands of hair from the previous people. I showed all of this to the owner, along with receipts. I took pictures as evidence. He came to work on the jacuzzis one day left the top off and never came back. They need to clean, paint, and fix the place up. He never reimbursed for the money spent on the face cloths or towels. I emailed VRBO and the owner and sent pictures and no one cared.

Family reunion

The house was exactly as advertised with some added bonus of a very well stocked kitchen. We only needed to bring our food, drinks and clothes. Everything else was provided. Beds were comfortable and we all had plenty of room to spread out or gather. Pool was nice and kids loved the balls and floats provided.
