Perfect holiday home

Lovely villa with great outside space and views.Very spacious, clean, comfortable and fully equipped villa. In great location, quiet and peaceful but very close to Sami and great for easy access to visit all around the island. The outside space is amazing and the pool is an added luxury. The owners are extremely helpful and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. All in all a wonderful place to stay, would recommend 100%.

Lovely property

We have just returned from a lovely 2 week stay at Villa Chrysanthi. The villa is really well-equipped and clean with everything we needed. It had great views from the balconies and terrace area and the swimming pool was fabulous. We picked up a hire car from the airport and it took us around 50 mins to drive to the villa. What a beautiful scenic drive it was too. The owner Dimitris could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Right from the arrival information to all of the help and advice on the property and places to visit in the surrounding area he was an absolutely excellent host. The cleaners came in every few days as did the pool cleaners. We definitely hope to return one day. The villa is on the outskirts of Grizata and is no more than 10 mins by car to Sami. We found lots of great places to eat there. There is a lovely walk along the sea front from Sami to Karavamilos – it takes about 20-30 mins and is well worth it. We also took the hire car on the ferry from Sami to Ithaca – worth checking with your hire company first that the insurance covers you – ours did at no extra cost. We loved Ithaca so definitely recommend. Sami is also quite central to the island so easy access to most places. Overall a great two weeks and our 8 month old grandsons first holiday abroad – couldn’t have been better. Thanks Dimitris Steve, Angela, Amy, Ben and Ezra

Excellent Home from Home

From opening the doors to our beautiful holiday home we fell in love. Dimitris was a wonderful host who couldn’t do enough for us. We had a slight problem with the shower he got onto it straight away sorted new parts and plumber. Plus a complimentary bottle of wine for the inconvenience. The pool was amazing spent most days around it. The next time we choose Kefalonia for our holiday we will also choose this wonderful house again. Thank you Dimitris.

Fantastic holiday in a beautiful location

Dimitris (the owner) was excellent from the time of booking online until our stay at his amazing villa. Dimitris sent us great directions on how to find the villa from the airport and also lots of places and suggestions to eat and visit during our stay. The villa was not difficult to find thanks to his directions and it is set in a very peaceful location, perfect for a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of life. The villa was immaculate and the photos on VRBO are accurate although do not do the outside space just or as this area around the pool and the balcony area are amazing. We were grateful for the bottle of wine on arrival and the fabulous cream cakes. This was our first visit to Kefalonia which is a truly beautiful island with so much to see and do and we have already started to plan another holiday next year. We wholeheartedly recommend this villa if you want to get away from it all but a car is necessary to get the most from your stay. Thank you Dimitris for being so accommodating and for welcoming us to your beautiful villa and we hope to see you again next year.

Unser Aufenthalt war super. Die Villa war super, sehr gut ausgestattet und durch die zentrale Lage alles auf der Insel gut erreichbar. Der Empfang durch Dimitris war sehr herzlich. Beautiful villa, central location, great host

Villa Chrysanthi is a beautiful, clean, well equipped villa in a lovely, quiet, woodland spot on the edge of Grizata village, yet near to Sami and well situated for exploring all of Kefalonia. We used the swimming pool every day, enjoying the beautiful views and little birds flying across. It was great to have pool towels, as well as bathing towels provided. The communication with the lovely owner, Dimitris, before and during our stay was excellent. He sent recommendations for beaches, trips and local tavernas to help us plan our stay. The bottle of local San Gerasimos wine and big box of delicious pastries from an Argostoli bakery were really thoughtful gifts. We hired a car for the week and enjoyed swimming and snorkelling in crystal clear waters at beaches near Sami and in the north and south of the island. The villa is also a short drive from the spectacular Drogerati Cave and Melissani Lake. Our holiday highlight was a self-drive motor boat trip from nearby Agia Efimia, exploring beautiful, secluded white pebbly coves along the north east coast. A wonderful villa for anyone wanting to explore this beautiful island.

We thought the villa was excellent, authentic, secluded, with lots of nice touches. Great pool and view and Dimitris was very helpful and informative. We really like Sami - down at the harbour in the evenings overlooking Ithaca, as well as the many great bathing stops along the coast to Agia Effimia and the tropical atmosphere at Antisanos and swimming with so many fish there. Would definitely recommend this area over Lassi on the other side.

Beautiful Villa

We enjoyed our stay at Chrisanthi Villa very much. It was a bit of a rough start since the Villa is a bit hard to find. The driveway to get there is not obvious. But after we found it we appreciated its isolation. The villa is very well equipped and the kitchen is easy to use and also fully equipped. Demitris was very helpful and communicated with us several times during thestay to see if we needed anything and if everything was working as it should. We enjoyed ourselves and would consider a return visit should we plan another trip to the Ionian Islands.

Easy access to great beaches

The villa location is great if you want to explore the island. The villa is a short drive to Sami, Melissani Cave and Antisamo beach. You will need a car as the villa is a remote part of the island. The outside space of the villa is beautiful, the swimming pool and BBQ area make the end of the day even more special. Dimitris is always available and willing to help.

Well equipped villa - perfect for a relaxing stayy.

The villa was very well eqiupped with everything you could need and spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds and good air conditioning, perfect for the quiet get away we were hoping for. The owner, Dimitris, was accommodating and very helpful as our flight arrived late in the evening but he was there to welcome us and provide useful information about the villa, local restaurants, etc. We had one minor issue with no hot water on one day but Dimitris had someone around less than an hour after we called him to fix it and he then turned up a few days later with a bottle of wine as an apology (when it wasn't really needed, but it just showed what a genuinely nice people the owners are). The villa has a slightly larger sister villa right next door so it's not completely out on it's own but we never really noticed the family who were staying there as the villas are separated quite well. Sami is only 5 minuutes drive away and has a few supermarkets for essentials. I would highly recommend this villa.

Family gathering in Kefalonia!

The villa was exactly as described. Our hosts Dimitris and Nikki were there to greet us on our late arrival, with cakes and wine to settle ourselves into such a beautiful country environment. Having a few days to ourselves before our family arrived, we relaxed by the pool before travelling by car a few miles to Sami for a wonderful selection of Tavernas and Bars. As there were six of us, Dimitris had already arranged extra bedding and any small maintenance tasks needed were dealt with promptly. Lovely cleaners looked after the property every 3 days, along with the pool man who kept everything spotless early in the day so that we could make great use of the pool starting in the morning! It really was a 'home from home' with everything needed for a great stay including plenty of parking. BBQ's in the evening sun with plenty of chairs and sunbeds making great use of the shade and sunny sides of the pool. A lovely adult family holiday - we will certainly consider villa holidays again after this wonderful experience!

Mooi gelegen huis, niet echt luxe, 4 km van Sami

Op de plaatjes lijkt t een alleenstaand huis, maar dat is niet zo, er is een buurthuis (met ook gasten), pal achter de afscheidingsmuur. En er is veel omgevingsgeluid, bv veel blaffende honden. Mooi uitzicht vanaf 1e verdieping, aan t zwembad zit je ingesloten tussen de muren, wat wel weer goed is tegen de wind. Verder fijn huis, en geluiddichte ramen. Grote bbq buiten. Maar er ontbreekt ook wel eea. Satelliet zenders alleen Duits en Islamitisch. Koffiezet apparaat hapert, het putje van de (prachtige nieuwe) douche beneden stroomt over, het water uit douche beneden loopt al na 1 minuut de badkamer en zelfs de woonkamer in, veel dweilen dus. Beperkte keuken inrichting, beetje willekeurig allegaartje. Maar goed, we zijn misschien verwend, en we hebben t wel fijn gehad. Eigenaar of beheerder Dimitris is zeer vriendelijk en laat je welkom voelen !

excellent villa , very clean and comfortable

We stayed at this villa for 7 days, Dimitris was there to greet us even though we arrived late at night, Dimitris was very warm friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble. The villa itself was very clean and comfortable, furnished to a high standard, the pool was lovely along with the different seating areas. The maid service visits every 3 days and Dimitris called in after a few days to check everything was okay We had a lovely holiday and would not hesitate to recommend the villa, The area and the whole island. We look forward to returning again very soon..

Relax in the countryside

We stayed here with friends and family for the last full week in September. Great location for Sami, country walks, Agia Efimia for Motor boat hire. Made good use of the barbecue and pool. The house is very well appointed and equipped. Very helpful and attentive owner, Dimitri, who also gave us local white wine....delicious! Thanks again Dimitri. One small point....there is an identical house owned by Dimitri next door, so if you want complete isolation this is not the villa for you ( it didn't worry us)

A wonderful place to stay

We stayed from the 1st July to the 10th July , what a lovely villa it has everything you need and is set in a perfect location very quiet and peaceful and is just a short drive into Sami to the restaurants and shops. Dimitris the owner was on hand to welcome us to the villa and gave us quick guide to the area he leaves no stone unturned to make your holiday a great experience The real nice touch is the maid service every 3 days were the bedding and towels are changed The only down side for us was antisamos beach if you like to be packed and stacked on a beach fine 12 euros for a salad each is well over the top although they will bring it to your sun bed we stayed for a couple of swims and then headed back to sami for a lovely lunch on the sea front which cost about 16 euros with wine and a beer for both of us If you want a better beach experience head out of town to AGIA EFIMIA lovely coves to swim in and some great tavernas Would we go back to Villa CHRISANTHI yes we would and will Tony and Annette

Lovely villa in beautiful Kefalonia

We really enjoyed our stay in Villa Chrisanthi. Dimitris gave us a warm welcome when we arrived, and the location was great - a quiet spot but close to Sami for shops/restaurants/bars. Dimitris gave us excellent recommendations for places to eat all over the island and also helpful suggestions of places of interest and beautiful beaches. The villa itself was very well equipped, with many thoughtful touches, and we felt at home there. It was also very clean and was cleaned every 3 days during our stay, with bed linen and towels also changed. The outside areas were great, plenty of space and everything we needed. It was very hot during our stay but there was always a shady spot or even go inside to cool off with the air-con! The pool was lovely also - perfect for our 2 teenagers!! It was very pretty with the pool lights in the evening. All in all, an excellent villa - we would definitely stay there again!

Lovely house

We where a family of four (kids 5 and 7 yo) who stayed here for 2 nights. The house is located very secluded together with a similar house next to it. It has a wonderful view, a nice pool and a terrace with a nice big barbecue. It takes about 10 minutes to drive down to the peaceful village of Sami. It has everything you need but is much calmer than your normal touristy places in Greece. I'd recommend renting a car if you book this house as it makes things a whole lot easier. The host, Dimitris, was very helpful with finding the house and suggesting things to do when we where there. I would highly recommend the house to anyone looking for a nice and quiet vacation in the Ionian Islands.

On arrival we were met by Dimitris who was the perfect host, a nice bottle of wine and a lemon and pistachio cake were a lovely touch. The villa was exactly what we were hoping for. Spotlessly clean, great kitchen with everything you need, comfortable living room with a large tv. Wi fi was fast and it covered the whole of the patio and pool area, the pool was great as was the barbecue. The beds were very comfortable and the linen was changed every three days. The fly screens were great and there's air conditioning in every room although we didn't need it in late September. It's a beautiful peaceful area with mountains on either side, it's a five minute drive to Sami and 12 minutes to Agia efimia. Wether you're a couple or a family villa Chrisanthi has everything you need. We would highly recommend this villa and look forward to returning sometime in the future. Once again, thanks Dimitris.

Lovely rural village villa near to the donkey station with excellent pool.The villa was spotless and well maintained, the pool was regularly cleaned and the villa was cleaned every 3 days and all the bed linen and towels changed, you don't get service like that everywhere.Dimitris and his family are very kind and friendly would definitely recommend this villa.
