  • Kaloli Sunrise by the Sea sits just across the road from the big blue Pacific Ocean in a charming neighborhood on Hawaii's Big Island. Enjoy the wrap around, upper lanai with views of tropical landscaping and our private swimming pool. Dip into the pool anytime and cool down after travel adventures around the inspiring island. Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean, just across the street.

    Kaloli Sunrise is a two story house with all the living areas on the second floor. The ground floor has a garage and laundry room, both for your use. The house has two bedrooms and hosts up to five guests. The primary bedroom has a large, four poster California king size bed, ensuite bathroom with two sinks, and a walk-in shower. The guest bedroom has a queen size bed and an XL twin bed. The second full bathroom is near the guest bedroom. There are all the pots, pans, utensils, and dishes that you would need to cook and enjoy local produce in the kitchen.

    The swimming pool is above ground with a surrounding deck with a few lounge chairs. We provide pool towels. The upper lanai also has two dining tables with chairs so you can sit and dine overlooking the pool OR the backyard landscape. We provide a binder in the house with loads of local recommendations, adventure hikes, restaurants, and favorite things to do. We hope you enjoy Kaloli Sunrise by the Sea as much as we do!

A beautiful place for a relaxing week

Beautiful home in an amazing location!

The home was beautiful and spacious with a great swimming pool. The location was perfect as it felt close to everything but provided great privacy. Would definitely stay here again!

We do a lot of staycations on Island during the year, and this place was comfortable and clean. Hosts were readily available and responded quickly to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend. Mahalo!

Simply put - This property exceeded our expectations by a mile as did the supremely kind people at Salt Water Hawaii Vacations. When looking for a VRBO, people want accurate descriptions they can trust. You can trust what you see on the page. The grounds are lovely and beautifully maintained. The house was immaculate. The kitchen had what we needed and my daughter loved the Viking stove. The pool was clean. The washer and dryer was clean and well maintained. Although there isn't air conditioning (and I hate sleeping hot) it was not a problem because the breeze flowed through the house (that surprised me). My daughter said her bed was the more comfortable than any VRBO property, resort or hotel we have ever stayed in. Thank you, Tara (hope I spelled you name correctly) for making my family feel welcome.

Family time in Heaven

We enjoyed our time in Hawaii, the place was the perfect size for our group. We were disappointed that the pool was unavailable for our use, but it all worked out well in the end.

The house is roommy, fresh, and very clean. Our family of four had a great time. If I were to nitpick I would mention the roof. Sometimes it makes crackling noise as if somebody is walking on top of the house. We got used to it by the second or the third day of our stay.

A true Hawaiin Gen

Everything about this home is beautiful and stellar. It is subsided enough in a quiet neighborhood right across from the ocean yet in a good location to get around the Big Island. We’re had the pleasure of a tsunami warning during our stay. The communication from the host company was amazing and they were there to help answer any and all questions during the event and anytime during the stay. I use VrBO frequently and this was one of my best experiences. Mahalo!

This property is gorgeous.The pool was great. The view was beautiful. However I will be honest though the property was spotless and very spacious for me in my opinion there were things I experienced that I didn't like. First it is far from the nearest town and groceries/food. It is 5 miles to the highway in a 35 mph. The property has no AC which does make it uncomfortable. What i appreciated was that there were many fans to use. Be prepared to carry ur luggage up and down the stairs. Again this is a beautiful property and I do not discourage anyone from staying here but I just want to be honest because I like all the information. It was an easy process to check in. It was kind of wierd we had to put meat trash in the freezer because of bug infestation. Like I said this was a nice home but I wouldn't stay again. I feel everyone should try and make up their own mind with all the info.

This beautiful home has a wraparound deck, which we love to have dinner on and our coffee in the morning. Views of the ocean from our deck and a short walk, leads you to the most beautiful spot to watch the sunrise each morning. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and the quiet of this location. The neighbours were so friendly I would wave to you as they walk in the morning. It was easy to get to the main road and to Hilo.
