Perfect vacation, did not want to leave!

What a stay! the house was perfect, had everything you need to make your stay comfortable and relaxed..... We were up every morning to watch the sunrise and on one day we even saw a whale breaching!We will be back!

Remote but nice

Its a ways from anything but if you just want a spot to relax next to the water, this might be the place for you. Well appointed for basic needs with just a few small recommendations to the owner....the alarm is problematic for visitors use, we were home one evening and it went off, i could not disarm and had to call Propert Manager (who was readily available and understanding). The furnishings are very uncomfortable, they are all patio type furniture being used inside and as this location is not in town, staying in is likely, comfortable seating would be preferable. The TV situation is a mess, again as this location is a ways from town, staying in is likely and movie night was not possible. May I recommend getting rid of cable and just providing a Chromecast for visitors to watch from their own source.

The views from this property are amazing. You will not regret booking it. We were a little concerned because of the lack of AC but we found that with the cool ocean breeze we didn't even miss it.

Truly Paradise

Couldn’t ask for more! A 5 star home in a lovely residential area. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful surroundings. It’s truly a Hawaiian getaway We’ll be back and hope to stay longer!!

Lava cliff side aviary, tree frog and turtle haven

First off if you love birdsong at dawn (all day) frogs at night, heavy surf, and sea turtles feeding on the rocks below the cliffs then this is the place for you. If wildlife waking you up at dawn is an unwelcome thing then this is not the place for you. My wife and I made a ton of recordings and will be creating our own ambient wildlife and seaside sounds sleep aid audio files. We came here for the final portion of our 9 day Hawaii trip. The first was Kona side, and our villa was resort quality. When we arrived to the rainy side after balmy days Kona-side, we were greeted with a storm of birdsong and beginnings of tree frogs as the evening progressed. Hawaiian Paradise Park was an apt name. Keep in mind this property is not resort perfect and actually felt a lot like an east coast beach house. Plenty of windows and screens but no AC. If you vent the house properly the breeze keeps the house cool and the nights are amazing with the door vents opened on the Oceanside bedroom. Cool ocean breezes and frogs singing all night. Amazing. My favorite spot was on the lanai watching the world go by and spotted a ton of local wildlife and stargazed when clear. The interior has been decorated with the owners photos so it feels a lot like living in a beachside gallery! The only rough aspects of the trip was the lack of communication by the rental management office. Not the owners fault. Be VERY aggressive if you don’t get checkin info before you travel. Beautiful place to stay as a base of operations for our adventures. The TV is dated, and is not device screencast capable with iOS devices. Can’t wait to come back again and we will definitely be staying here next year!

Beautiful Oceanfront Home

We loved our stay here! The home was the perfect size for us and the setting couldn’t have been better. Large, fully equipped kitchen, great showers, large laundry room. This side of the island is much more relaxed than the Kona side. We look forward to returning soon.

Seamless and gorgeous views, beautiful home!

Stayed with my 2 cousins and the pictures were accurate! No AC but I’m from Florida and with the windows open the breezes were fine and fans were fine! Hearing the ocean was amazing and my only regret is I wish we had more downtime to enjoy the home! Beautiful sunrises too!

Oceanside Honeymoon

We had a great four day stay at this property for part of honeymoon on the Big Island. Only hiccup was I didn’t realize I needed to log in via evolve rentals website to see check in instructions, but I likely didn’t read the rental agreement email close enough in advance to realize this. The property is beautiful, and the house has everything you could need. We cooked our own meals with the kitchen pans, did laundry before we left, and even found aloe under the sink when we were scorched. The ocean crashing against the cliffs 15 yards away from the aster bedroom lulled us to sleep each night. No A/C which was fine because the breeze from the ocean felt perfect to us no matter the time of day. Thank you for sharing this vacation home with us! We will definitely be back in the future!

Wonderful location. Peaceful, private and quiet.

We loved our stay. The house is very nice. Would have liked to have had a comfortable, well lighted place to read. The guitar on the wall is a decent instrument. No need to bring your own. Overall, a great place and would come again. Our complaint is with VRBO management. NONE of our phone calls or emails were answered. Makes me wonder if their internal policy is “never, ever talk to a customer.”

Great ocean views!

The house's location on the ocean is spectacular, and it's close to a path that walks near the shore. It's in a quiet neighborhood where the only sounds at night are the waves and the frogs. The house needs some maintenance TLC - there were a number of things in need of repair that kept the place from being spectacular.

Go for the view. It’s worth it

The house has a unique design that really takes advantage of the view. And oh that view!!! Just a few steps out the back and you are standing on your own private cliff. We rarely saw another person, which is what we were going for. Sitting on that cliff watching the waves crash in and turtles surfing was my happy place. The property manager was responsive when we had some issues with the TV. Not a big deal. The decor in the home is average, but that view makes it a slice of heaven. Only complaint would be there is no sofa for TV watching. Only one TV in the house in the main living room. And only 2 lounge chairs that really weren’t comfy. If more than 2. People were staying, couldn’t really enjoy that space. Hilo is a short 20-30 min drive and we loved hanging there in the day. Very convenient.

Perfect spot for re-entry after COVID

This house suited my husband and I perfectly. Great property, house, deck (fully covered), kitchen, dining area, etc. There is a bit of a drive into Hilo to get groceries or go out to dinner - 30 minutes. The neighborhood is very quiet. Good wireless.

Unforgettable stay!

Everything about this property exceeded our expectations! The house was beautiful and you could not beat the view or gorgeous landscape. Tons of amenities and extra little things that were very appreciated. Loved the little fish/tadpole pond and being able to feed the fish. We were very pleasantly surprised that they had a make shift bidet. Since we use one at home it’s always something we miss while on vacation. The only notes I have, but did not greatly affect our stay; The sitting area really needs a couch. The leather loungers are okay but not too comfy and if you have more than 2 people staying, the sitting area would not accommodate everyone. Also, the tv is a smart TV but since they only leave the cable remote you aren’t able to access the app menu, and the cable is SUPER limited, luckily we brought our switch and was able to stream that way. You will also see people fishing and walking through the backyard all day, they park in the empty lot next door and like to hang out for the day, which was okay but there are no curtains so be aware that people can look in. It really wasn’t that bad during the day but because my local cop relatives had warned me about the Puna area, it was concerning when people were walking through the backyard in the middle of the night. Either way, this is one of the nicest houses I’ve ever stayed in and loved the amount of details that were put into it. Would definitely recommend and stay again if given the opportunity.

Paradise Ala Kai

The property was as advertised but please be aware the bottom floor has no facilities to use. The kitchen has few cooking utensils but adequate dishes and glassware. We enjoyed the location and the property. We would definitely rent it again! I rated the "communication with manager" a 3 simply because we had no contact with the manager (and no need to contact the manager).

Großzügige Wohnbereiche; sehr liebevolle Einrichtung; unmittelbar am Ozean; 10 Meter bis zu den Lavaklippen an denen die hohe Brandung bricht; so gut wie keine Nachbarn; sehr ruhig; vom Frühstückstisch auf der Terasse haben wir Wale gesichtet; großes Grundstück mit ausreichendem Parkraum auch für große SUVs; gute Idee und gute Umsetzung, dass die Wasserversorgung mittels gefilterten Regenwassers stattfindet;
