Great place for up to six people. Lots of room. Would be tight for more than that. Lots of stuff to do inside the cottage. Outside, not so much. Neighbours way too close. No privacy outside. Perfect for boaters/fishers. Marina across the street and owners their very helpful and reasonable people.

Beautiful lakeGreat fishingFurniture in the house was worn out and uncomfortable especially chairs and bedsAdvertisement for cottage was misleading. Showed a large dock. In reality the dock was unusable and across the st from the house (which was supposed to be right on the lake but it wasn’t. There was a road in front of the home before you get to the lake side deckPoor and uncomfortable chairs on the lake view side Poor organization of kitchen. No dish towels and pots and pans spread out all over the cupboards. No cleaning equipment

We enjoyed our vacation in spite of some short comings. Thankfully, our Irish guests were so impressed with the lake and view and weather, they did not complain. However, all was not as advertised and expected. In one of the upstairs bedrooms there was no bedframe and the headboard was not attached. It almost fell on our guest. The drawers were broken. The bath mat upstairs was filthy. There wasn't one downstairs. Bathroom fan, stove exhaust broken. No beach towels as advertised. Dock photo #2 was public dock. The dock was crowded with the pedal boat on it and had screws popping up that presented a hazard. The neighbouring dock had a power boat stationed that killed the view and made the entrance into the lake awkward. Glad we brought our own beach towels, as there was only one bath towel per person to use in the bathrooms. The place obviously had not been vacuumed, nor swept before we arrived. The step into the bathroom was wobbly and somewhat dangerous, so was the step down into the main bedroom and the steps up into the kitchen. We wondered, who might have built this. In the backyard, the advertised swing seat was shoved into a corner and on an angle so that the swing rubbed along the metal on one side. We felt they could have put a bit more polish in if renting out and photos could use a description so as not to mislead. We wondered if this is really a family cottage?

So so disappointed

It was filthy ! Entering on the lower it looked great. Going up to the main level was a different story...it had not been cleaned at all..the floor was dirty and covered in crumbs as was the furniture. The windows were coveredwith prints and grime ...it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in many months. The main level smoke detector was hanging from ceiling (not working)(called the host and he said that was ok because there was one on each floor)..as far as I know the law states they have to be operational.The fan over the stove has not been cleaned in years..the oven could not be used as it smoked so bad.I contacted the host and he said he would contact the cleaning person. That was Saturday after our arrival. We waited until Monday for someone to show up. We had to do a certain amount of cleaning to stay. One of our party stayed behind as she had a headache, when the cleaning people arrived they said they didn't have the supplies needed to clean..they did clean the ginger grime off food.She said she would need a razor to scrape the gunk off the backsplash behind the stove.We were not offered anything for our inconvenience... it's pretty sad when you pay a cleaning fee and end up cleaning yourself !The pictures of the house were accurate, the kitchen to our surprise had beautiful pots and pans also dishes etc.The sunset pictures were deceiving..the only way to see the sunset was to go across the street and down to the comCarbon monoxide detector not workinmunity dock.

Property is nice spacious. Kitchen was nice size and had plenty of supplies. Washer and dryer would have been useful especially if longer stay.

Perfect Family Ontario Staycation: Spacious, Fun & Incredibly Thoughtful Host!

What a truly lovely stay! This property absolutely made our vacation, putting big smiles on our young adults' faces – and ours too!The owner's generosity and thoughtful gestures were evident throughout the beautifully maintained home. It felt welcoming from the moment we arrived. The house itself is spacious, airy, and clean, providing plenty of room for our family to relax comfortably.⁃Loved the backyard privacy, ⁃fireplace was perfect for evenings marshmallow roast. ⁃Plenty lounge chairs ideal for relaxing⁃BBQ got plenty of usefor family meals. ⁃Proper funny table for 6 indoor and backyard deck⁃The peaceful lakefront view and incredible scenery were absolutely stunning⁃Fantastic for water sports enthusiasts. Having access to a few small boats and lots of water activities right there was a huge hit. It even gave me a chance to show the kids I could still handle a paddle board lol. One practical tip for future guests:The dock area has a rocky bottom, so definitely bring your own water shoes– it makes getting in and out of the water much easier.Overall, this was a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. The owner's attention to detail, the fantastic amenities, and that breathtaking lakefront setting made our stay exceptional. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to others!

Summer Getaway

The property was overall nice with an excellent air conditioning system and beautiful view but the floors, stove and kitchen counters were very dirty. We had to clean before using. The deck would have been used more to enjoy the view if it had been cleaned with better chairs. Luckily the bathrooms and bedding were very clean.

Kawatha Lakes

Great location and property has all amenities that you would need. No washing machine which when travelling from abroad for a few weeks makes things a little tricky and the fact that you have to take your garbage with you whilst also not taking advantage of the extensive recycling opportunity...a few minor points for an overall enjoyable stay.

Amazing Cottage

This cottage has everything you could ever need and more. Its exactly as shown. Very clean, comfortable beds, lots of games to play and on a lake loaded with fish. Cottage also comes with kayaks, Sup boards, paddle boat and small boat to explore the lake. Its a great location, close to Marina, store and small beach area. I would highly recommend this cottage.
