Family Cottage Week

This property was exactly as described. Beautiful location lots of room to spread out. Close to towns for day outings. We had a fantastic stay.

Great Balsam Lake location

Everything I’m cottage as advertised! Nice to have a canoe and kayak available to use. Water was clean and warm enough for swimming! Overall we had a great time!

Family getaway

We had such a nice time at this Vrbo. We had everything we needed and the view was spectacular! Our host was very attentive and quick to respond with any questions we may have had! Highly recommend!

Beautiful and relaxing

We really enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of seating indoors and out, nice access to the water for adults and children, and the kitchen was well stocked. You might want to be bring your own can opener, though . Our host was gracious and responded to our questions quickly. Highly recommend!

I loved the property. Very roomy. Hostess was great getting back to usThis cottage is well equipped My only issue was we had no garbage container for outside to put garbage in before we make a visit to the dump.

Amazing Cottage

Perfect cottage, fantastic location, quiet lake.....beautiful bay window overseeing the lake, massive deck, plenty of space inside and out. Communication was impeccable. Overall highly recommended!

Perfect cottahecvacay

Comfortable, cozy indoors with all the amenities and an amazing lakefront location. Balsam Lake was perfect for kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, or just relaxing on a floater or the gorgeous and spacious new deck, this cottage was perfect for our 2-week getaway (5 adults over 45). Price was great for an ideal location!!

The home with a view

This home has a large window facing the lake and that is what makes it. The back deck is also an added asset. The neighbours were welcoming and friendly.

Amazing cottage

We enjoyed the stay very much and was shocked at how well stocked it was. We could have brought less stuff but we will know for next time. The owner was very good at fast responses to any questions. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone.

Balsam Lake Gem!

What a beautiful spot! The cottage was clean and well stocked. Communication with the owner was clear and quick. The best part is the view from the huge deck looking out onto the water. There are lots of comfortable chairs and a huge umbrella for shade. We brought our own boat and were able to launch nearby (for a small fee) at Nahma lodge.

Balsam Lake, Kawartha Lakes

My daughter and I had a lovely time at this lakefront property. Weather was perfect for this time of year (last week of Sept.) which allowed for outdoor activities or just relaxing on the deck overlooking the water and watching the ducks and swans. The home was furnished with whatever we required, especially the kitchen. Overall, the neighbourhood was quiet and the property well-maintained. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely and relaxing

Beautiful cottage, well equipped. Wonderful lake front and roomy cottage. Would definitely return. Unfortunately the A/C failed halfway through the week and we spent two afternoons dealing with repairmen that could not fix the issue.

Vacation Week

Excellent vacation property. Enjoyed all aspects of the cottage. Our only negative was it was a little tight with 12 people re 1 washroom. It was clean and fresh when we arrived. Our younger grandchildren enjoyed the sandpit and its closeness to the water. Location was great. The older kids liked swimming and the water sports. Great selection of kids sand toys. Thanks for a wonderful week.

Relaxing vacation

Upon arriving and stepping into the cottage, we were awed by the view out the large bay window. Balsalm Lake, serene and welcoming was just steps away. The cottage was clean and cozy for us but would be perfectly outfitted for a large family with the extra family room. The cottage owner was helpful with immediate communication when needed. We loved swimming in the clean lake water or relaxing on the large deck. We certainly appreciated the time to relax and recharge at this awesome property.

A great way to end the summer

We enjoyed our week at the cottage! The cottage was well equipped with lots of room and very comfortable. The lake was warm enough for swimming and the sandpit beside the lake was a huge hit with our grandchildren. The large bay window looking out at the lake made for a very relaxed start to the day. While the cottage is very close to the neighbours on both sides the privacy wall on the deck made the cottage feel secluded. All in all a great time was had by all.

Looking foward to returning!

Such an amazing week. Thanks to Tanya, our attentive and helpful host, my two kids (and our lab!) and I enjoyed our time. The cottage is well appointed, clean, pet friendly, with rooms accommodate everyone and a gorgeous outdoor space. We took a polar bear swim (late october!) and we're all looking forward to enjoying the cottage and lake next summer. No question, this will be our go to cottage in the Kawartha's. Thanks, Tanya!

Beautiful spot

Cottage was nice and had everything we needed. We did have an issue with the neighbours big dogs pooping on our yard multiple times and left for us to pick up. The neighbours were very noisy on the weekend to the point we had to go inside for some noise relief. View was amazing and water was clean with easy access.

Very Peaceful

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was very relaxing and peaceful. The kids loved swimming off the dock, we used the canoe and kayak daily. The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of room inside the cottage for 6 of us. Would stay here again! Unrelated to the cottage itself, but a tip for future renters: the garbage dump near Fenelon Falls already had a 30min wait at 9:15 am on the Saturday we were leaving (opens at 9:00am). So be prepared to possibly wait or just bring your garbage home for disposal.

Fishing week

Light burnt out in kitchen made it dark and hard to see with the overall brightness of lights Nice spot sleeping arrangements were great. Fishing was tough. No walleye caught at all

Tanya is a great host. The cottage location is fabulous! Right on the shores of Balsam Lake. Drinking your morning coffee by the water - heaven. The cottage has all that is needed to enjoy your stay.
