Unit Okay, Owner Meh

I'm a Hawai'i resident who visited Moloka'i from another island. I was unfairly profiled as a potential problem since the owner experienced problems with Hawaiʻi residents in the past. This unit was the cheapest one that fit my needs, so I just ignored this and continued with the reservation.There were minor issues that I wouldn't have minded if the owner wasn't so dismissive in his responses. After a voice message and emails that weren't helpful, I stopped communicating. I was on Moloka'i to enjoy time with my family, not to engage in futility.The issues: 1. The faceplate of the lock box fell off of the base. I had a hard time replacing it. 2. The key to the deadbolt did not work all of the time without having to fuss with it. 3. The fridge door keep hitting the counter when I opened it. I brought it up to the owner because I didn't want to be blamed for any damage that might've resulted. In his voice message, he said that the fridge isn't anywhere near the counter, so he didn't know what I was talking about. I emailed him pictures of the situation. It turns out, the fridge wasn't pushed all the way back into its cabinet. So, it was near the counter after all. 4. There was no visible way to lower the window blinds in the bedroom. He told me to just pull them down with my hands. I'm short. The windows are high. I couldn't reach them. I didn't even tell him about the roaches crawling on the kitchen counter while I prepped food. Roaches in bathroom and bedroom, too.

A beautiful stay in paradise

This one bedroom condominium, directly fronts the Pacific, separated only by lawn and a hedge, and a few yards away is a black sand beach with wonderful shallow water, extending nearly all the way out a quarter mile to the breakers. Morning displays of fish, surfacing, often in the form of “Fish rain“ and turtles are a commonplace. The unit is comfortable and the living room hide a bed can be converted using the mattress from the futon into a wonderful sleep experience seeing the sunset in the morning. It is well supplied with cooking implements and we did nearly all of our meals at the condominium during the month of our stay. The owner is very accommodating from his home in Oregon. Highly recommended. The island itself is a wonder and it’s simplicity.

Beautiful condo and friendly owner

The condo was perfect for my needs as a handicap woman. The unit was beautiful with a lovely view of the ocean. The owner was very kind on the phone and immediately returned my call. He has a genuine spirit of aloha and played an active role in the life of the Moloka’i community.

Relaxing Island getaway

We loved our one-week stay in this well-appointed and comfortable condo. The views from the lanai were gorgeous and it was the perfect spot to begin the day with a cup of coffee or end the day with a cocktail. The condo was spotless and was provisioned with everything we needed to cook in and even had chairs to take with us on beach outings. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Nice spot for a short homecoming.

Unite was exactly like it was described. Good stay got a little loud at nite above us but it was a very busy weekend on Molokai. Nice breeze for the entire stay just one thing to keep in mind is that there is no AC. It was not an issue when we were there but like everyware Molokai does have some hot days.

Condo was very clean and comfortable. Beach less than two minutes away. Garden was a nice surprise. Condo was also very well stocked (for the kitchen and the beach).

Beautiful ocean view first floor unit

This property was immaculate and well laid out. I was able to have family from another unit comfortably seated for meals. I particularly liked the rocking chair patio furniture, which was comfortable and clean. The couches were arranged to optimize the ocean view, which was very nice during the day it rained. The pool and rec area is well maintained. Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere relaxed.

Upset reservation

Im so upset. I was not able to stay there.When I try to book this i was looking for hotel at Maui or Lahaina and this property come out. When I arrive at Maui. They told ne the this hotel was at different island, so I end up paying for another hotel. I'm not familiar with Hawaiian Island so you dont have to lie to people like that. I lost $894 USD Because I dont get refund for that. I know there is no cancelations because covid, but in this circumstances it was not my fault. You don't have to list hotels from other Islands when we search for certain Island.

We had a wonderful time, friendly islanders. Great food. Spectacular views. Watched fire works across to Maui New Years from our room. Barbecue at pool area was a great idea. Water was ruff limited snorkelling. Beautiful beaches. Very slow pace, we loved it and wouldn’t hesitate to return.
