Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback with us, I have endeavoured to address some of your concerns below. We appreciate all forms of feedback and will endeavour to resolve any issues you mentioned for the future. Firstly, the Reception operating hours have remained unchanged, regardless of the COVID-19 virus and the ongoing renovations. We operate between 8am and 5pm. The new owners are undergoing various renovations at the moment and because of this, our staff have been assisting with works around the motel. This is the reason why you would have found the reception door closed at 3pm with a sign on the door to contact staff. The sheets in our rooms are brand new white sheets and have been there for under a fortnight. The donna’s were removed from these beds as many guests suggested that in the Territory’s hot environment, we should do so. We appreciate your feedback in regard to the positioning of the doona and I wish to inform you we have gone back to placing these on the beds. Our bathtubs are indeed old and this damage is unfortunately not stains, it is wear and tear. The new owners have this month approved a quote for InnerBath to replace all of our bathtubs, so please accept our apologies and understand we have every intention of fixing this very soon.. In regard to the ‘snacks’ as you mention; We have a number of snacks (chips, ice cream, nuts, soft drinks) available in the reception area, however do not advertise otherwise. If you could pass on the advertisement you mention then that would be a huge help towards ensuring the guest experience is as they expect when booking. Finally, in regard to the security gate, as mentioned to you on check in, this gate had a fault and was down for less than a week. It is now repaired and it was an issue out of our control. On a normal occasion, no one can enter our premises after dark unless they have a room key with them to open the security gate. Overall it is certainly very disappointing to hear of your experience, however I hope you can understand now that the premises is very old and the new owners are working day and night to ensure that the property is a much better experience for all guests in the future. I encourage you to please contact me again later in the year if you are visiting Katherine and I will personally ensure your next stay at the new and improved Katherine Motel is a pleasant one. Dear Guest, Unfortunately, as the review is anonymous, I cannot investigate any reason as to why this might have happened. All bookings booked through Expedia are either charged by Expedia themselves, or a fixed amount is sent through via the Expedia extranet. The only reasons I can think of that a further charge would have been applied is for extra people or pets. We are sorry to know that you had issues with air-conditioning. Most of the air-cons are fairly new and well serviced. Had we been informed about it, we would have definitely looked into it. Sometimes, it is as simple as choosing the wrong mode on the aircon remote, and the cooling doesn't happen. Our apologies for inconvenience.
