We had a wonderful holiday at villa Hilal. The house is beautiful and spacious and clean and has everything you need. The pool and outside area are fantastic. The views are out of this world. We loved Kalkan and the most beautiful sea. We loved the many Lycian ruins and the sumptuous natural beauty of the area. We really recommend this beautiful house.

We had a really wonderful holiday in Villa Hilal. Stunning views across Kalkan and Kalamar, a very welcome breeze, quiet, and the grounds and house were exactly as advertised. The pool was amazing! Whilst the house is further out of Kalkan, taxis were easy to arrange and there is also a supermarket only 2 minutes walk away which we found out would also deliver if you wanted. The best family holiday we could’ve wished for - thank you Villa Hilal!

Absolutely Perfect !

We had an amazing time at Villa Hilal. The communication form both Mike the owner & Umit the property manager was fantastic; nothing was too much trouble for them. This villa is perfect and has everything you could possibly ask for, it is exceptionally well equipped with a lot of extras (I won't share as you need to book to see the advantages of Villa Hilal.) We loved the privacy of the pool area, which was cleaned thoroughly every morning and the bonus of the roof top patio – outstanding views and wonderful to watch the sunset.All the rooms are perfect with Wi-Fi and full air conditioning, beds are all comfy, plenty of storage space & coat hangers. The bathrooms are nice an airy and the water pressure is really good. There was a welcome pack for us when we arrived & a full water cooler with spare bottle of water which was much needed and appreciated. Our time here went by far too quickly, we will definitely return !Overall, we would highly recommend this villa to anyone, probably the best villa we have stayed in Kalkan over our 16th visit !! Thank you for letting us stay

A great place for family holidays!

We spent 2 weeks in Villa Hilal in Kalkan in October 2024. We were a family of 6 incuding 2 teenagers. We had a fabulous stay. Everything was great: perfect weather, warm sea, a lot of ancient sites to visit around, good food and not too many tourists at this time of the year. Kalkan diving center is almost next door. We had a rental car which was very handy as we wanted to go easily around. Villal Hilal is a peaceful spacious place with a stunning view on the sea from the top of the hill. We loved it all and hope to come back. Thank you Mike and Umit for your kind help and warm welcome!

Fantastic Villa Hilal!

This is a fantastic villa in a beautiful location with views from the balcony and roof terrace out over the bay in Kalkan and across to Patara. The pool area is beautiful with plenty of space, sunbeds and places to sit in sun or shade and the pool was cleaned every day. The villa has everything you need and is well supplied with cooking equipment, towels etc. Mike the owner is incredibly helpful and recommended trips and transfers. Umit the local manager was very responsive and helpful when we wanted to order more water which was delivered quickly. You can walk down into the town from the villa but it is very steep downhill to get there and when it is very hot it can feel quite hard work - but if that's not your thing taxis are quick and easy to arrange and around £4 each way. We really liked that we were up out of the town a bit and it was so peaceful up at the villa, and there are a couple of local supermarkets in walking distance and a great market on a Sunday. We would highlight recommend Villa Hilal and we would definitely book again if we returned to the area.

Amazing villa

Stayed at this villa for 2 weeks at the end of June with my family all adults. The villa was great. It has everything you need for your stay. The large pool was amazing and we used it all day every day as it was very hot. Had a small issue with air con not working in the bedroom, contacted Umit and the engineer was there the same day to fix it. (Thanks for that) villa is up in the hills(very hilly) but this was not a problem as taxi service was great and cheap. Pool guy came early in the morning (while i was having a coffee) and always waved and said hello. Overall we had the best time at this lovely villa and are already thinking about coming back next year. Would definitely recommend you have a look at this. Had great correspondence with Mike before our stay who recommended airport transfer too. Thanks. 😃

Fantastic stay at Villa Hilal

Everything was as advertised online, but better! The villa is spacious and very well appointed, with everything we needed. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and very much appreciated. The pool and outdoor space was fantastic and air conditioning worked a treat!

10 Day Summer Holiday

The Villa was lovely , great pool which was cleaned daily.Air conditioning was excellent and a god send due to the extremely hot conditions. There is a Villa under construction directly next door , despite building works being suspended from 15 th of May, the builders unfortunately disregarded this on several occasions , a call to Umit , the site agent , who contacted the construction company put a stop to it eventually . Apart from that everything was excellent and I will hope to book again for later this year .

Fantastic

Villa Hilal is beautiful. We stayed for 11 nights & didn't want to leave. The villa was spotlessly clean throughout. We had a groceries left for us which was very welcome. Umit the manager was great. He made sure there was nothing we needed & he was easy to contact. Mike the owner was fantastic through the whole booking system & was quick to respond to any questions he also recommend our airport transfer. The pool & surrounding area outside was great & the pool was kept spotlessly clean. If you want a Villa with fantastic views this is the one. We would highly recommend this Villa.

Villa Hilal - The place to be....

We stayed two weeks in Turkey and the first week at this lovely villa in Kalkan area. From the outset and throughout the holiday communication with Mike and Umit, the manager were excellent. A wonderful villa with stunning views. My favourite area was the outdoor space and the newly refurbished kosk area, which was even better than in the photo's. During our stay we were adopted by the lovely cats who lived nearby and they seemed like part of the furniture but we loved them. This was my favourite villa of the two weeks and would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area. It was situated from the main hussle and bussle from the main town which we liked and was nice and quiet in the evening. You would need a car as it is up a steep hill but then this would be the only negative bit I could put. However we always hire a car abroad and even if you didn't there are plenty of taxi/dolmus about. There are a few small supermarkets to choose from and a small sok supermaket at the end of the road. There were six of us and found there to be plenty of space inside and out. Thank you Mike, Umit and also to the pool man (whose name I forget) as he was also very pleasant and helpful.

Amazing views, great accessibility to the town and great responsive management.

Kalkan is stunning and the surrounding atmosphere and culture is enchanting, yet each day we found it increasingly difficult to leave our darling villa. The villa is comfortable, the views are incredible and every bit of information we required was included in the comprehensive, well written guestbook.

A fantastic stay from start to finish

I can’t rate the villa and host highly enough. Responsive host right from first enquiry, helpful with sorting out things before we departed and really flexible. And as we arrived in the early hours of the morning, the welcome pack meaning we could have breakfast without needing to shop was lovely. The villa was clean and really well cleaned mid stay. The pool was cleaned daily and unobtrusively. The villa itself was everything we needed. Fantastic outside space to soak in the wonderful Kalkan views. And plenty of space inside for a family with 2 teens. The only downside was we had to leave at the end of a perfect 2 weeks!

Kalkan itself is built into a hillside, so there will be other villas that are less overlooked, however Mike was brilliant and responsive, the views are spectacular, to pool wonderful and theres everything here to have a brilliant family holiday - would certainly recommend.

Lovely Villa

The villa has everything you will need inside and out, the pool is a good size and the gas bbq when feeling lazy is great. The views from the 1st and 2nd floor balconies are stunning. the booking process was very good and Mike the owner was always very quick to answer any questions we had. Umit, the person who looks after the villa for Mike is brilliant, if there is anything you need help with he's very quick to answer or get it sorted. The villa is a long way up the hill so a car or taxi's are a must in the height of the season but on the whole we had a great holiday and would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday far enough away from the hustle and bustle but only a few minutes away in a car.

Wunderbar entspannter Urlaub

Wir haben 10 entspannte Tage in Mikes Haus verbracht. Die Unterkunft ist sauber, gepflegt und gut ausgestattet, sowohl innen als auch außen im Poolbereich. Der wunderschöne Ausblick lädt zum Verweilen ein. Kalkan Zentrum ist mit dem Auto ca. 10 Min. entfernt. In der Umgebung befinden sich traumhafte Strände (Kaputas, Patara,…) Kleiner Hinweis: Wie die meisten Villen in Kalkan, ist auch diese Villa an einem steilen Hang. Bei Anreise mit dem eigenen Auto sollte diese Tatsache berücksichtigt werden. Alles in allem haben wir einen wunderschönen Urlaub verbracht und danken Mike für diese Möglichkeit.

Great Villa - Lovely Kalkan

Villa Hilal is a lovely property sitting some 2km above Kalkan with great views of the bay. Mike the owner was very helpful and responsive, Umit the local property manager met us at the villa at 1am following our late flight. There was a generous welcome pack of food left for us, the villa is as described in VRBO and is very well equipped both inside and out. We loved Kalkan , the old part is lovely with many shops and restaurants. The villa is at the top of a steep hill so we tended to walk down into Kalkan and get a taxi back (£3) if we weren't feeling energetic. There is quite a lot to do in the area, our favourite things were kayaking around the sunken city/Kekova, walking up the Saklikent gorge , Patara Beach ( part of a nature reserve ) and eating at the restaurants in Kalkan ( 'Akin' was one we particularly liked). This was our first time in Turkey and we found the Turkish to be very friendly and helpful. Couple of things worth noting, taxis aren't so expensive and are plentiful, so depending on your needs and plans you may want to use taxis as required vs hire a car. E.g. the 1.75 hr taxi tfr from Dalaman airport to the villa was £55. Also turn off your roaming on your mobile device before entering Turkish airspace as data and call costs are very high - buying a Turkish SIM card is apparently a cheap solution if you want to stray from the wifi. Overall a great holiday and we hope to be back.

Panoramic view of Kalkan

We have stayed in Kalkan several times and absolutely love the place. We knew it was possible to be safe given the current COVID problems. This was the first time we have stayed on the other side of the D400. We had a hire care for the duration of our stay which made it easier to get in and out of town. The property has a great panoramic viw of Kalkan especially from the top floor balcony, where you can see both the town and rather unbelievably the vey beautiful long beach at Patara in the distance (great for long walks along the beach, and masks not required on the beach). The property is a little difficult to find although the instructions, pictures and signage is obvious when you get there. We did drive into town some evenings and leave the car there, getting a taxi back afterwards for about £3-4. The walk back in the morning is about 2K but all downhill. We had only 2 of us so had stacks of space. The main plus was the large pool which you can easily exercise in. The kitchen was fully equipped and the 2 outdoor BBQs were a great touch. No real negatives other that the Aircon not quite being as efficient in the main bedroom as in the rest of the property. The welcome pack containing coffee, tea, biscuits, crisps, milk, juice, carton, cured meats and a bottle of wine and is a nice touch. You can of course buy everything you want in any of Kalkan good supermarkets.
