I give it 3 stars because of the communication with host. I requested an ocean view room at the beginning of reservation, a month before trip and two weeks before. The host stated they would put in the request with Marriott, but it was not guaranteed because it was on what was available. Two days before we arrived Marriott sent me confirmation that we were getting a Mountain View. I called to confirm with Marriott. Marriott shared that there were never any notes in reservation for an ocean view room, when the reservation was initially made by host. Marriott shared that this could have been because the host is not aware of how to properly place reservation and how to request ocean view with their points. There were no longer any ocean view rooms available. Marriott gave us a partial ocean view on the 6th floor and the other partial view was a loud parking lot where staff parked by the marina. The amount of money paid for this reservation should come with better communication or a capable host to support requests.The resort was 10/10!

Beautiful Resort

We love the resort and the area! This is the 2nd time staying there but our first through VRBO. The only concern was that it was implied that getting a room with an ocean view was on a “first come first serve” basis. When we received the final confirmation however we had been assigned to a Mountain View room.However, our daughter went to the property early on the day we were arriving and talked to the front desk. They very kindly searched and found us an upgraded room with a very nice partial ocean view room. I’m not sure that would happened without her intervention.All in all we had a great time!

Ko Olina condo

This was the first time I stayed at the Marriott Ko Olina condos. I have stayed at the beach villa condos next door many times before. So I wanted to check it out even though they were a little more expensive. The pools, restaurants and shopping at the Marriott condos are very nice but more crowded. As we lay under the beach umbrellas we were told to move and we couldn’t use them unless we reserved them. No signs indicating anything about and multiple umbrella’s were available. Had to pay several extra hundred to use the beach and pool facilities which evidently weren’t included in the condo rental. To have family or friends visit they had to pay 25 for parking or 8 and hour. Public parking is extremely limited at Ko Olina you wait for a half hour or more for an available space. None of these issues occurred when we stayed at the beach villa condos next door lagoon. For those reasons I will not return to the Marriott and if the beach villa condos next door start the same practices, sadly won’t return to Ko Olina to stay.

Misrepresentation of unit

Unfortunately, this was the worst VRBO experience we’ve encountered over many years of renting. The listing states that there are three king size beds and two sleeper sofas. I thought that was unusual because most of the other similar listings had different bed types. I reached out four times to Christian to clarify and further clarify before we rented and he stated in all caps, the room has three kings and two sleeper sofas. Upon arrival we find that the unit only has one king and two twins along with one sleeper sofa in the living room. This does not accommodate the sixth adults that we have in our party. I called our host Christian immediately and he looked up the reservation and noted that. Yes it should be three Kings and two sleeper sofas. I let him know the options. The front desk gave us with current availability that is to rent an additional studio for just over 3000 more or lose the VRBO reservation and book fresh through Marriott. Long of the short of it is, between several dropped calls, which I believe were intentional because he never called back and multiple texts letting him know our frustration. His final resolution was sorry, we will give you 10% off.

Anniversary trip

Ko Olina is an exceptional resort. The beach at the lagoon was easy to swim in. The walking path connects all 4 lagoons. The slide pool was so much fun for the kids.The resort is within walking distance to shopping and several restaurants. The 2 bedroom condo was perfect for our family of 4 and had every amenity we could have needed. We would love to come back someday!

Anniversary Trip

We came to Hawaii for my parents anniversary. It was fabulous. The resort has so much to offer for adults as well as the kids. The 2 bedroom condo was perfect for our family of 4. We used a mix of groceries and eating at Longboards or Longis. We used the onsite photographer for memorable photos and the Luau was exceptional for the adults and young children. We would definitely return to this island and this resort in particular.

TSORT VRBO is awful

Booked thru VRBO via TSORT. Instead of booking is for 4 nights they booked us for 3 nights and 1 night. Meaning we had to switch hotel rooms in the middle of our stay. Called them and they said they could not do anything and good luck. We spent a lot of money to stay here and that type of answer and assistance is not acceptable. Just terrible customer service. Property is spectacular. Staff is awesome and helped in every way to fix VRBOs screw up. I can honestly say DO NOT BOOK with this host.

Excellent vacation property. Although not inexpensive, it is still good value. Ocean lagoons with multiple swimming pools is a great combination. While dining options are somewhat limited at the resort there are plenty of options at the other resorts and nearby. Food and service at Longboards was very good; Longhi's was lacking somewhat in both regards, especially given the cost.

Awesome Experience!

Loved our stay at this beautiful 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condo! Everything was wonderful and easy! The view from the balcony was amazing. The resort is beautiful! The check in and out process was simple. The communication with my questions was quick and responsive and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to everyone! The only surprise was the listing said there were 2 beds in one room and one bed in the other and I wrote asking to clarify that, and it was confirmed in the description that there were 2 king bed in one of the bedrooms. About a week prior to arriving I wrote to confirm/ask about some some details about the unit and was told there was only one bed in each bedroom (with no mention that there actually was a sofa bed IN one of the bedrooms.) Would be helpful if the listing description could be updated to reflect those specifics. The mattress in that sofa bed had some stains on it that could use a little attention, but otherwise the place was perfect!

Great place to stay in Oahu

This place was great for our time on Oahu! Very nicely furnished, and so helpful to have a kitchen and refrigerator. The balcony is nice and shady in the morning with a perfect view of the ocean. We would happily stay there again!

2 Bedroom villa

Beautiful property. Beautiful rooms and views. We stayed here for 3 nights and then stayed at the Aulani for 3 nights. The Marriott is far superior at everything but kid enjoyment. It is hard to compete with the lazy river and water slides. The room was larger. The gym was bigger. The pool chairs are available. The grounds at the Marriott are more tropical and the lagoon is identical to the Aulani lagoon except that there are no crowds.

Beautiful resort

Such a beautiful resort. The condo was perfect for us. Very clean and we loved have 2 owners suites. There are 2 restaurants on site and we were pleasantly surprised how good they were. We will definitely be back.
