Very unfortunately, the communication between the owner, the property manager, and the on-site condo managers was incredibly poor & drastically impacted our stay. We recently stayed and were guests during the tsunami warning. We were told by the property manager to evacuate - with random, unhelpful and unclear directions being given via sporadic text messages. As our point person for all communications during our stay, we trusted her and followed her instructions - actually securing accommodations elsewhere at an increased cost and huge stress during this emergency. We relocated our four kids and all our belongings…in what turned out to be totally unnecessary. When we returned to the condo, we found out from on-site staff that no one was evacuated, we didn’t need to relocate, and that all of the info we had been given by the property manager was incorrect. I tried to reach out to the owner, who was completely unresponsive. The property manager simply said she passed on the info she was given from the board. The extra costs we incurred and the added stress & frustrations we experienced were all completely ignored and brushed off.

This was our 5th time staying at the Ko'Olina beach villas with our 3 generation family- grandparents, us, and our 3 young children. We absolutely loved the condo. It was very well stocked and the beds were comfortable (key for me!!). I would love to stay in this condo again. It was super family friendly with puddle jumpers and beach toys for the kids. The pool and lagoon access are amazing. We loved our stay!!

Vacation in Paradise!

We had the most wonderful stay at the Villa! It was beautiful and clean with more than enough space for us to spread out. Everything we could have possibly needed for the week was on hand and available for us to use. The location was incredible. It was a ways out from all the hustle and bustle but will an easy drive to all the activities you might want to do. The lagoon gave us all the fun of swimming in the ocean without the fear of being swept out to sea. The pools were fun to swim in as well. We will definitely be recommending it to friends and family.

Fabulous time for family reunion!

We - 2 grandparents, 3 adults, 2 kids - had a fantastic 8 days here. The unit was pristine, very homely and comfortable, well equipped with basically everything, and just what we needed for an extended family reunion vacation. The pools and the nearby lagoon were easily accessible and perfect for morning walks and afternoon dipping. Sherry - the property manager - was very helpful and accommodating. 100% recommend!

Pre-Christmas getaway

We had such a wonderful reunion stay here with my infant daughter and parents. The property is exactly as it looks in the pictures, was immaculately clean and the resort was absolutely perfect for babies. The pools were lovely, the beach with gorgeous lagoons were just outside of the resort and lots of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. Neal and Sherry were very easy to communicate with and did a wonderful job of pre-arrival grocery shopping for us. The check-in process was a little long given that my 81yr old Dad had just arrived from a 10hr overnight flight, but everything else was absolutely perfect. We hope to come back again!

Could not have picked a better place to stay!

We stayed at the villa for 8 beautiful days! It was everything we could have imagined and more! The location was perfect, the amenities were amazing (our 2 year old loved the kids pool, and the home was perfect for us all. We had plenty of space for 3 couples + 1 toddler. We cooked breakfast each morning at home! The kitchen was already stocked with spices, plates, cups, etc... The location was great to venture out into the island as well. Easy access to the freeway, and heading into Honolulu for dinner was a breeze. The amount of THINGS already in the villa was the ticket! They had a wagon for the lagoon, plenty of beach chairs and toys. THE VIEW : that patio was to die for. Early morning coffees and watching the sun set after dinner will be core memories for us. Thank you Sherry and Neal for being so quick to respond and so helpful!

Exceeded expectations

We travelled with 3 generations of family, 6 total people, and all had the trip of a lifetime. We felt a bit uneasy booking with VRBO, knowing there were nearby hotels that might be more predictable and conventional. The entire trip, we frequently commented about how happy we were that we selected this property through Vrbo. From before the trip, then on arrival, Neal and Sherry were exemplary hosts. We felt immediately comfortable there, given the warm, and thorough introduction. KOOlina is a perfect location if you want to be away from the city, but still have available services like food and coffee. The nice upscale hotels nearby are available for food, as well as a few restaurants and a delightful ABC store. The lagoons are beautiful with calm water, and all 4 lagoons are readily available. The property itself was the highlight. By the second night we felt so comfortable knowing we could return home to a quiet, spacious property. Grandmother with her own room and bathroom, kids got a bathroom, and parents in the master suite with a separate door for privacy. All amenities were excellent-air conditioning that was always comfortable, an open air lanai to look outside, and easy access to an assigned parking spot that took 1 minute to reach. For a larger family, I can’t imagine that a better choice exists. Hosts, property, grounds, location, and surroundings were exquisite, and we cannot express how thankful we are to have found this gem. Thank you!!

Good for a family vacation

Pros: This unit accommodated eight adults and came with all of the necessities. Inside is very private without a ton of traffic in the hallway or outside doors banging, which was nice. The primary bedroom is spacious and provides a get away for a lucky couple. We had one issue that needed addressed and Sheila answered right away when we called and was helpful. Cons: Check in was a lengthy process that could have been done in half the time. Cleanliness was okay but there were a few things that needed a thorough scrubbing. I don’t recommend adding the golf cart as it’s quite the process to get to it, schedule charging it, etc. we used it once and gave up. If you want to be in the beach and want shade, bring your credit card because personal shade items are not allowed in the Lagoon area. You must rent them…and it’s pricey. I recommend just finding a nice shaded spot in the grass. Overall, it’s good option for a larger group in a safe resort area.

Excellent Vacation

This unit was amazing. We had everything we needed beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, kitchen, bathrooms etc. The unit also had everything we needed for our 3 granddaughters ages 1-8. Our hosts Sherry and Neil were great. They answered all questions we had prior to arriving and had everything ready to go when we arrived. I would highly recommend staying here. Great stay!

This villa is a lovely place to stay! The unit is large and spacious and has everything you need. And if you don't have what you need, the property managers Sherry and Neal could probably get it for you -- they were so responsive, communicative and friendly. The villa has a lot of kid friendly items included in it which was awesome -- umbrella stroller, Graco pack and play, high chair, wagon, sand toys, noodles etc. Nothing fancy but does the trick. Bonus was there were several things leftover from previous guests that we took advantage of and we left items as well, eg sunscreen, bath toys etc. Some notes for future guests: - If you have a rental car, there's not much need to use the golf cart. Especially if you have a toddler that can't ride in it anyway. - We had an in person greeting from Neal who was very friendly and got our toddler talking to him immediately. The intro to the grounds and villa, though super useful, were a little challenging for our 3 year old since it took maybe 45-60 minutes. So keep that in mind -- you could maybe split up if you have an infant or toddler that is on the verge of losing it. It was really nice to have a detailed tour of the grounds and tips and tricks of the villa though. - Also specifically for a baby or toddler (info I always look for when booking a vacation rental, the kids room has shutters and no curtains, so I wound up buying some black out panels from Target (10-12min drive away) to cover the windows.

Dream Vacation

I would definitely say that all 5 adults and 3 kids had a fantastic stay at the resort and wandering around Oahu. Sherry, the property manager, could not have done a better job communicating, offering helpful information, and making sure our needs were met. I would recommend this property to anyone, especially families. It had everything--well equipped kitchen, beautiful lanai, washer and dryer, toys and books for the kids, beach wagon and toys.
