Excellent View & Location

Stunning beachfront views.Overall we had an amazing stay. Communication was great, made everything easy. The condo had everything we needed. This is our 4th 1 bdrm condo to stay in, the view and location is our favorite.The only negative, to us, was the comfort of the mattress...hybrid mattress, low profile and very firm (maybe just a personal preference)

stayed in the villas many times. this unit was a first. it was OK but starting to look dated. the shower was annoying with water getting out onto the main bathroom floor. the toilet needs to be be updated as it was pretty small to sit on. the bathroom overall was alwaysbjimodn the kitchen was nice but small. watch out for the garbage disposal swith as it's right next to the light swith. ays humid and the fan was overwhelmed to keep it dry. always

Very clean and excellent location ! Amenities where great - pool and pickle ball courts were well maintained. In unit washer and dryer was new and great to have in unit! Spectacular ocean views!

Great place with Awesome View

The was a great place and as the description states newly upgraded. The view was amazing!!! The layout was perfect. Very private location, easy to get in and out and great parking. Place had a fully stocked kitchen with the bedroom tucked away from the living area. The lanai was perfect for morning breakfast and you are a very short walk to two beaches. Next time we are in Maui this will be our place to stay!!!!!

Hope for Lahaina

Dream location, property, stay! We definitely would love to stay again. Honestly with staying at a number of VRBOs over the years, this by far has been the best. My only critique is the use of fragrance on towels and linens as well as the air deodorizers; fabric softeners. I suffer from skin allergies to fragrances and cleansers. This condition is far more prevalent than most realize. Otherwise it was a delightful, relaxing time.

The condo is tired and needs some attention

The online instructions were great. The pictures conveyed the beautiful view accurately. The condo was not kept up, however, and was dirty in areas with peeling paint and a filthy silk tree in living area. The sofa and love seat were uncomfortable, and with only two other chairs that were just for looks, it made relaxing difficult. I hate to say it, but I would not rent again.

Beautiful property

Couple of issues. Only left us one trash/garbage bag. One bottle of shampoo for 8 nights. (Travel size). Washer and dryer didn’t operate. Management group tried to remedy the situation. I have requested a partial refund from them. We specifically wanted a washer and dryer as this stay was at the end of a two week trip. Property is beautiful. Location is great.

Spacious, easy direct access, perfect location for whale watching, Lanai furniture shows age and exposure to the elements. Kitchen well equipped, microwave seems underpowered. Windows inside and out could have been cleaner. I found some bugs and ants, as well as places housekeeping missed. It’s a 45 year old property that shows its age in places, including the living room furniture. It needs to be cleaned, years of guests sitting on it before showering off sunscreen. Bed very comfortable, stepping down into the shower not the safest for 78 year olds, even with the grab bar. Plenty of closet space for two. The previous guest or housekeeper did not empty the bin on the vacuum cleaner. Without the view I’d give it a C+, with the view, B+. Nothing’s perfect, we had a great stay. John Marshall

January 2022 Review

The property location and view is beautiful. Overall, the property needs TLC. One of the lanai chairs was broken, toilet kept running, moldy broken blinds, old kitchen supplies, worn-out couch, etc. We love the area and had a great stay, however, some TLC would make this property rating from fair/good to excellent.

Location was fabulous

Layout and location of unit was fantastic! Very roomy with a lot of amenities in the unit. Having beach chairs and and cooler was a great touch. View was really special. Ample parking and loved all the places to walk to. Breathtaking. Some item that need updating: coat of paint. Walls were quite dirty. Replace shades and some silk flowers as they have a fair amount of mold. Pans were warped and challenging to cook on. Dryer was difficult to operate.

5 STAR location & View. Housewares need some love.

Location-location-location. Wow. We loved our stay!! The condo is in the perfect location on the property. Being in vacation rental management myself, I have to say that the lack of kitchen housewares was disappointing. We went out and bought the condo a set of wine glasses, a set of drinking glasses, a set of champagne glasses and several necessary utensils, including Tupperware. Still needs can/bottle Koozies, plastic pool cups, acrylic wine glasses to take to watch the sunset on the cliff etc....this place should be dialed in and its not. I hope I helped future guests a little and they too remember to "pass it on".... Mahalo!!!

Mostly good, but Windows/privacy

Overall it was a good place to stay. The oceanside trail is nice, and an easy walk to Kapalua bay. It would be nice if the missing window coverings can be replaced, and the one at the sliding door fixed. Also the bottom windows at the hall between the bath and bed could use a cover. It always seems windier in Kapalua, but it wouldn't keep us from staying there again. The price sounds reasonable at first, but check the fees! Kind of high.

Stunning Views

As soon as we opened the door to the condo, we were immediately captivated by the sweeping views of the ocean. Nothing we say could ever describe the beauty unfolding before us. Our family of three proceeded to the lanai to get a closer look and sat there without saying a word taking in the breathtaking views of Kapalua. Only two small technicalities -gate code was outdated and WiFi password off slightly but both issues were corrected immediately by the management company. The condo was well kept, kitchen fully equipped for our needs and, more importantly, the bedding was very comfortable, especially the linens were fresh and very clean. We’ve stayed at other properties in Maui and I would have to say, Kapalua Bay Villas is at the top of our list. Aloha!
