We had an amazing stay at Mauna Kea Waiulaula Villa 329 and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. The home is beautifully furnished with upscale finishes and an incredible ocean view that we enjoyed every day. The location is fantastic, quiet and private, yet super convenient with easy access to the Westin and nearby resort amenities.The kitchen was very well stocked with tons of amenities, which made cooking and spending time at the villa easy and enjoyable. Everything felt thoughtfully set up, comfortable, and welcoming, truly a place you can settle into and relax.Donna was an incredible host; friendly, responsive, and helpful from start to finish. She made the entire stay seamless and stress-free.We loved our time here and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-located place at Mauna Kea.

The kitchen had everything we’d wanted and so much room for our family to relax and spend a long holiday together. I highly recommend this say for a relaxing trip especially with resort access for all the additional amenities.

Home was as pictured in the photos. Kitchen had top of the line appliances and was well stocked for at home meals. We spent most of the time outdoors on the lanai and in the pool/hot tub, as well as at the beach and pool at the Mauna Lani. Only downside was Internet was unstable for work, TV.

Perfection! This was our first time staying at this house and it was amazing! Extremely clean, well stocked, great views and very comfortable! Donna was very easy to communicate with and we had the best week on the Big Island. Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during our time on the Big Island. The home was absolutely amazing. The two bedroom suites made our stay very comfortable and the home is stocked with almost everything you could possibly need. The home was also very clean. The neighborhood is quiet and the ability to go to the resort on the property to spend time on the beach was an added bonus. Would definitely stay here again. It doesn’t disappoint.

Lovely home

Perfect Hawaii House

Big Island Family Vacation

The house was exactly as the listing described. Very clean, well appointed and in a nice location above the Mauna Kea Resort. Views were not great just because of the way the house is positioned but if a view isn’t a priority, it’s a perfect home. We rented an electric cart from Kohala Beach Buggies which was a great solution to hop down to the beach- it is about a 10 minute drive. Residential Guest Membership is key. We utilized both the MK and Hapuna pools, beaches, restaurants and gyms. Parking and valet are free with the membership. Everything in the home was in perfect working order and the support team was responsive for the few questions that we had.

Best place to stay in all of Hawaii

I can’t emphasize how perfect this house is for a relaxing Hawaii vacation. We had two kids who spent all day playing in the pool, my mom who enjoyed the junior master suite, and of course my wife and myself who loved being able to keep an eye on the kids while relaxing to beautiful views and quiet solitude. The accommodations are luxurious. Everything you need and more is already in the house. Quick drive to beaches, stores, and other sites. Property manager was very responsive - we had an issue with the spa heater and the repair technician was onsite within minutes. amazing. This is THE place you’re looking for - I promise.

Great Home!

Our family of 5 spent the Thanksgiving Week in this wonderful unit! It was well equipped, extremely clean and the host was easy to communicate with. It has a great location and very well appointed. Being Lik fans and owning some Collections we appreciated the tasteful artwork. Came with all the necessary Beach gear but if you get access to MK and Hapuna it really isn’t needed. While an extra cost for the access I highly recommend adding it. Two of the best beaches on the islands! Mahalo!

Amazing!

This is a wonderful property - great location, beautiful house, exceptional management. I would rent this property again without hesitation and highly recommend. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens). Everything you need is supplied and the house is exceptionally clean and well maintained. Donna is easy to work with and very prompt with addressing any questions.

Perfect for us!

Our two daughters with their husbands and two 4-year-olds stayed at the villa while my husband and myself along with my son, wife and two teenagers stayed at the Mauna Kea. It was perfect for the little ones to be able to nap and play and swim in between our different activities. This does not work so well in hotel rooms. The villa is beautiful! My daughters specifically mentioned that it was so well-organized and had everything you could need.They loved all the space; it is spacious and welcoming with walls of windows that completely slide open so your patio and indoor space feels like one; beautiful flow. The kitchen was well-equipped; beds comfortable with very nice large bathrooms and closets. The pool and spa are such nice additions! After our 50th wedding anniversary dinner our family met at the villa for dessert, gifts and a video that was made by our granddaughter - a class project where she interviewed us on what makes a lasting marriage, communication and how we changed and grew through the years. Did not know that was going to happen and everyone enjoyed watching the video including the humorous moments. The large living space and TV was a perfect "theater" for this. I want to thank Donna for her immediate communication with answers to questions, billing and other info. I had not rented a vbro before and she made it easy. So friendly also; Donna sent a welcome email on the day we arrived! I have already told many about your place. I found out about it through friends who did this similar thing last summer for their 50th, and rented this same villa. Was so nice to have their personal recommendation. Amazing vacation home with everything you need

This was the most well equipped home we have ever stayed in. We are used to bringing/buying kleenex, toilet paper, dish soap, etc. All of that was there including large bars of soap in each bathroom, spare batteries for remotes, laundry detergent, dish detergent, beach towels, beach toys, beach chairs, coolers, bug spay, even a copy of the the Hawaii "blue book." Everything in the home is in excellent condition. I do hope future renters continue to take care of everything there so it is available for travelers years from now. Donna was the perfect host. She was responsive to all of our messages before the trip and let us know while we were there that she would not be available for a day and provided an alternate contact. We had no reason to contact her during our stay, but I know she would have been super responsive if we had needed something. We had a group of 7 and had more than enough space (my parents in one room, me and my husband in one, and our 3 kids sharing the third room) Both master suites are amazing with outdoor showers and a king bed. The third bedroom has 2 queen beds and room on the floor if someone doesn't want to share a bed. We did not pay for pool heat and the pool was warm enough in the afternoon/evening for a nice swim. The pool is not large, so don't expect to swim laps as a workout. We also did not pay for resort access. There are plenty of beautiful beaches nearby. It is about 15 minutes to the nearest store and restaurants. It is about 3 miles from the ocean so you won't hear the waves, but you can see it. The property is a duplex, which was not a surprise to us since I had seen that mentioned in other reviews. We never heard our neighbors, perhaps the other side of the duplex was not occupied during our stay. We would definitely stay here again if our travels take us back to the big island. If you are on the fence for renting this property, do it! You won't regret it

Hawaiian Luxury Plus

This was to be a family vacation with three generations, unfortunately our son, daughter-in-law, 11 year old grandson contracted COVID from their England trip a week before we were leaving. We had not seen them, so we decided to go without them. Just the two of us in a 3 bedroom home, but it was not the end of the world! I have stayed in many VRBO’s, but this surpasses all. The kitchen was better outfitted than mine. The bed was so comfortable and all linens were luxury brand. Lots of beach toys, snorkeling items in the garage. If you are lucky enough to book this gorgeous home, you will not be disappointed. The manager Donna was so easy to work with and responded to all my questions. Mahalo and enjoy this piece of paradise.

Great place away from it all

This house is very nice. Well appointed, comfortable, etc. On the less favorable side, we could not see the sunset from the backyard, it's 45 minutes to most of the restaurants (main town) and I had to pay extra if I wanted to heat the pool/spa. We enjoyed our stay very much, but might have shopped a little more if I had know the less favorable facts. Aloha!

Best of both worlds

We stayed at the Villa with 2 families, including 2 tweens who shared a room. The home was a perfect setup for the five of us. Both primary bedrooms have en suites and outdoor showers. The bedroom with 2 queens also has an en suite, and there is a guest restroom as well. The lanai seating, pool and hot tub were all very comfortable and enjoyable. The interior kitchen/living/dining room was very comfortable for our group. The kitchen is well equipped and has nice appliances and equipment. We had everything we needed to cook for 5 people. Communication with Donna Brucato and her team were great. We paid extra for access to the Mauna Kea Resort and really enjoyed being able to go back and forth between the Mauna Kea Beach, lawn and restaurants, the Hapuna Westin beach and restaurants, and the comfort of our own home. The house includes boogie boards and beach gear, as well as beach/pool towels. The complex also includes a gym and larger pool a short walk from the villa. The Villa is technically a duplex but largely felt very private and separate from other houses. We frequently forgot that we were so close to other houses. We did occasionally hear neighbors when they were at their pool or patio, but this was not bothersome. We would definitely recommend the house and would stay again.

Beautiful Villa

This beautiful villa in Wai'ula'ula has everything you could ever want in a vacation getaway! The location is so convenient to beaches and resorts while staying quiet and peaceful when you want to be alone. The privacy of the pool and hot tub is a great plus!. Kitchen is well equipped and all furniture fresh and attractive. Manager Donna responded immediately to one small issue during our stay. We will definitely be back.
