The unit is clean, nicely decorated and nicely furnished. The kitchen was well stocked and there were beach chairs to you. We love the quiet location and access to the private breach. It was very roomy and comfortable for our family of 5. The AC worked great. The had a nice view of the golf course too! We would love to stay there again.

Classy place for an elegant stay

The previous reviews were spot on. We had a wonderful stay in a place that is not your typical VRBO in that you truly feel like a guest in someone's home. Tasteful artwork decorates the walls, and the property has well stocked books, games, dishes and condiments and other extras. A very thick binder outlines everything you need to know. Upscale appliances (ex, stove, coffee maker, etc) and just an all around classy property at a great price. Some nitty gritty comments:1) this place is NOT for messy people, partiers, or folks who don't care for a property. The property provides lots of extras with the understanding that you'll take care of it all.2) make sure and get your parking pass right away at the management office (you can do it off hours, but just do it).3) access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club is a huge plus and was the icing on the cake (a 5 min drive away). It has a nice restaurant and is a very exclusive club in a picturesque bay and was just spectacular.4) If you are comparing locations between Mauna Lani and Waikoloa Beach area, Mauna Lani is quieter, more upscale and just 10 minutes from Waikoloa area. I think Mauna Lani is classier with a grocery store, brewery, beach gear rental and other amenities that you need for a nice vacation.5) Nice breezy fans and good A/C upstairs make for a comfortable sleep. The downstairs master bedroom is massive and the upstairs is very comfortable, too, with even colder A/C. I ran out of characters but stay there!

Tropical Vacay w/all the Comforts of Home

Everything we could have asked for and more! This was the perfect location to cheer on my husband during the Ironman triathlon. Our two teens had their own beds to sleep in, my parents had their own room as well. The kitchen was fully stocked so we could prepare, cook or grill all of our food, and we enjoyed sitting outside each night watching the sunset. Having access to a pool and a private beach was amazing. The home was impeccably clean and Jan has thought of everything you could possibly need. If you have a family member participating in next year’s Ironman, this is the ideal location for proximity and comfort. We loved staying here. Highly recommend!

A beautiful place in a great location

An absolutely lovely home, perfectly appointed. The furniture was comfortable, the kitchen amazing. We grilled and cooked in most nights. It was surprisingly private and quiet for being in a sixplex, and the view was out back away from other units. Beautiful grounds, with a great pool, and we were a very short drive from anything we needed. There were lots of opportunities around for hikes, beach visits, and shopping. Thank you for hosting us!

An absolute gem!!!

We loved everything about this property! The location was perfect- tucked in at the back of the complex, facing the ocean (just beyond the golf course, but you know it’s there ;), in between the Fairmont and Auberge, so you can enjoy a drink or dinner easily at either breathtaking resort, and close to some of the best beaches on the island. Having a beach pass to the Mauna Lani Beach Club was a must! It was a gem of a beach and so perfect for little kids. The house was immaculate and fully stocked, which we so appreciated if you’re planning on doing some cooking. We really hope to stay here again. It had more than everything we needed for our Hawaiian dream vacation. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us, Jan!

Luxurious & Charming !

This home is outstanding. It was truly the highlight of our trip on Big Island. With two kids, we pretty much stayed in one place, watercolor painting on the beautiful lanai, swimming in the resort pool, and enjoying meals at home. This home feels like your best friend invited you to their house and made sure you had everything you needed and more to feel at home. Jan, this is obviously a passion of yours! We couldn’t even find a speck of dirt in any forgotten corner. Plentiful supplies abounded, and we slept like angels on the beds. Garage had tons of extra gear for swimming snorkeling beach days and kids play.

Work/Vacation duo

We had a wonderful time at the villa. Everything was as stated in the VRBO listing We enjoyed the beautiful property grounds and private beach was such an added bonus very easy yo work remotely in the upstairs office That is set up very nicely the quiet of surrounding neighborhood was appreciated and kitchen had working appliances and plenty of dishes amd laundry room had great washer and dryer we definetly would love to stay again in future Thank you for your hospitality

Exceptional Property

This is our second visit to Mauna Lani Fairways and first time in Jan’s condo and it was a truly exceptional property. There is true pride in ownership that is reflected in the quality of furniture, decor, linens, kitchen ware & beach gear. The owners thought of absolutely everything and were generous with amenities and starters such as coffee pods, Mac nuts and condiments. The private beach club is perfect with cabanas and chaise and great snorkeling. We personally love Hapuna and the Shave Ice truck and shops in Kawaihae. We will most certainly be back. Thank you so much for a wonderful spring break!

NOVEMBER REUNION

My sons and I thoroughly relaxed at Jan's 3 BR condo. It is well maintained, located on the western edge of the Fairways complex, overlooking the fairway, and in earshot of the surf. The owners are extremely responsive and have taken time to think through all the details to make their property user friendly and turnkey. We would recommend their property without hesitation.

Wonderful stay

We had a great time at the Big Island while staying at Jan’s place. The home is really beautiful and everything we needed was provided. The kitchen is very well equipped and having beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella and boogie boards available made beach outings easy. The location within the Fairways is excellent, beautiful views from the Lanai and easy pool access. We also really enjoyed having access to the Beach Club in Mauna Lani. Highly recommend and hope we can return one day.

My son’s wedding

Our 3 bedroom condo at the Fairways was perfect for our family’s needs & activities as my son got married at the Fairmont Orchid. (We prefer a home setting vs. a hotel room). The condo had a golf course view, lots of privacy, lovely furnishings, well equipped kitchen, beach chairs, coolers, etc. The central pool & hot tub were a great way to wind down after a day at the beach. Access to the beach club was a very nice benefit. Overall, we loved our stay & will give an outstanding recommendation to our friends.

Beautiful condo

The condo location is in a quiet location. We found several restaurants within 10-15 mins drive. The condo was extremely well stocked and was very clean. We had an issue with the AC the first couple nights and decided to reach out to the owners. They quickly rectified. We had a nice time listening to the birds and sitting on the patio. The club access was a great spot to relax and enjoy quiet waters. Thank you to the owners for accommodating a schedule request due to a medical condition. We were able to create great memories.

Great villa

We come to the Hapuna coast at least once a year and have stayed in many different houses. This ranks right at the top and was perfectly suited to the needs of our recent group. We will definitely stay here in the future any time the size of our group is appropriate for this villa
