The flight was two hours late taking off, the rental car transaction took forever. We were 4 hours beyond our expectations for checking in, and it was full dark. But the directions for finding the place, for parking, and for entering when we got there, were spot-on accurate. The place was clean, comfortable, quiet and there was a little good package on the kitchen island that included snacks and a bag of real coffee. Plus there was a notebook of directions for everything: from local places to turning on the TV to where to empty the trash. There was a little collection of novels and Big Island guidebooks. We used them. There were games. There was every appliance you could wish for plus leftover dish soap, laundry soap and cooking oil from previous guests. There was a washer and dryer. There were three generous bedrooms, two full baths, and a tote of snorkeling gear in one of the closets. The only thing I would suggest is that your directions for turning onto exit 71 include the info. that even though the traffic sign reads, "Dead End" keep going until you see the complex. It was a little unnerving in full black night to see the "Dead End" sign. Hey, we had a great 5 days. We didn't see turtles but we saw a feral pig - same color as the lava- swimming in the ocean towards the beach from an outcrop at least a quarter mile out.
