There was no air conditioning. Customer service was very much lacking. Dishwasher and washer smell heavily of mold.

The view is beautiful and we like this calm neighborhood. This is our most favorite Hawaiian island. The VRBO is well set up and mostly comfortable aside from the main bed which has a plastic foam cover and that makes it very hot. Under this foam cover there are lots of urine stains. Yuk!We had one unfortunate experience while staying here. A smoke alarm started going off due to a dying battery that we couldn't fix ourselves. VASCA was not very responsive when we called to report this and it took multiple calls and more than three hours to get someone to come over and fix the issue. That was very disappointing because it was late at night and my children were trying to sleep and the noise was unbearable. They also would not let us check out a day earlier which we wanted to do after this annoyance. Shoot!

Awesome!Everything about this place was great! Lydia has thoughtfully created a space with all that we needed for our visit to include items/amenities in the unit & grounds. Beach chairs, towels and even an ice chest to borrow! Parking is very convenient. Location great. Place is very clean and is well represented by the pictures - especially the view! Lydia was responsive and when i contacted her about a hair dryer not working - she made sure i had one within the next 24 hrs even though i told her i could do without. I would stay here again with out question!! Thank you lydia

One hour before our stay, we were told they cancelled our reservation due to construction! Had researched and picked out this particular condominium due to location and decor. Was devastated. How rude and unprofessional can the owners be and obviously knew this prior to booking their place..a one hour notice is unacceptable.

Beautiful Ocean Views

This place has an amazing, well furnished balcony that was the highlight of our stay. Gorgeous view over the ocean, with palm trees and beautiful sunsets.The home itself is very nice, well cared for and very clean. It is managed by a company, Vacasa, not by an owner. Vacasa was very helpful and did a good job of making the home clean and enjoyable. But we missed the little things that you get with an owner managed location like area recommendations, kitchen staples like oil and seasonings. This was more like a long-stay hotel. Plenty of pans, blankets, towels, etc, just no personal touches.Overall it was a great stay, it is just our preference to have something more individualized and personal which is why we like using home rental sites.

Balcony view is mesmerizing

The unit was very clean and adequately equipped. It was exactly as described. Sitting on the balcony watching the surfers and the waves was mesmerizing. The only thing to be aware of is that 4 adults might feel like the 2nd bedroom is pretty small. But it worked fine for us and it was not a surprise. Highly recommend.

Good location

The location of this place is good. Right on the coast with great views of sunsets and surfers. The boogie boards came in handy and the amenities were fine. Check in time is at 4pm which is pretty late and should be more than enough time to get the place cleaned up given 11am check out. We were contacted and told the cleaning crew was very busy and the place would be ready a little after 4pm. It wasn't ready until almost 5, which sucked given we were exhausted after a long day of travel. Upon check-in we were then told the dishwasher was broken. The gal cleaning said we'd be refunded some money due to the late check-in and broken dishwasher, but we got nothing back. We were there a week and the dishwasher was never fixed.

Beautiful and immaculate

This home is beautiful! Even better than the pictures. Clean, newly remodeled and in a great location right on the ocean. It was ready before the scheduled time and check in was easy. Stocked with everything you’d need and when we weren’t diving we enjoyed being able to sit on the balcony and watch the surfers. We’ll definitely look for the same place when we come back! Dated tired condo but nice location

First impressions of condo walking in the door : dark dated and tired. Not at all like the photo which suggest a light filled space : its not ! We needed lights on when home am or pm. May be typical of many condos of this era that desperately need a refresh ! The surfers are indeed a fabulous sight from the patio but that is the only light in the place : walls muddy green,thihck dark brown sliding doors dividing the main bedroom from the sit-in area made it feel more like a studio than a 2 bed condo. The furniture is old and tired, ,glasses ,dishes from the early 70 's and many light bulbs did not work,We never did get internet to work despiser reboot info etc, only a ride on an open network close by. Main bedroom has a good bed but no storage : its closet is full of extra bedding and no chest of drawers so clothes stayed in open suitcases on the floor cramping things even more. Twin beds were soft and noisy and for some reason the A/C did not reach back there so my sons had hot, poor sleeps.Kitchen equipped well with pots pans etc and nice to have a few little spices and things to help at meal time. Also important to know this end of the island is volcanic so beaches are rough and not very sandy. Not much safe swimming but excellent for body boarding and surfing. The pool is tiny, old and basically set into the car parking area very unappealing.Location is nice ,short 3 mins to downtown Kona and handy for south island. We had a great trip to the Big Island but would not stay here again unless it gets a total makeover !

Comfort in Kona!

Great location on Alii Drive and fantastic view. Watched the surfers and lots of boat/ship activity right off of our balcony. We were 5 people with 3 generations. The condo was clean, had all the amenities we needed, was nice and cool (lots of ceiling fans) and the parking was great. Fantastic beaches and snorkelling and the shopping/stores area nearby. Always the noise of the waves which actually made us seem alone (covered sounds from other tenants and from the street). Would choose this condo again.

great water front condo

Great second floor waterfront condo, in a quiet area, with garage parking below. Saw lots of boats, surfers, and colored fish and a turtle. Clean and everything you could possibly need.
