Very nice property. And very clean, which is always appreciated. Also, both bedrooms ((each with their own bathroom)) were located on the main level. So not having to drag your luggage up a flight to get unpacked is A BIG PLUS. Unit is very nicely appointed with everything you need and might forget. ((For us, that was umbrellas.)). Yeah, pool floaties, snorkeling gear and flippers….. on and on. If you have it at home, then they probably have it there. And if not sure, just Text them and ask ! Super fast and kind communication through out our stay. Free covered parking near the unit to keep your car cool and dry. Walking distance to the Keahou bay beach park and marina. So convenient for our morning snorkeling excursion aboard the Fairwinds, out to Captain Cook’s bay, and our nighttime snorkeling event with the Manta Rays. VERY cool. You will enjoy your stay. We certainly did. Aloha

We four adults enjoyed our stay here very much. The condo is spacious with excellent amenities. Kitchen was amazingly well stocked. The condo is older, as other reviewers have noted, and there are a few issues that need addressing. The owner, Ashok, was easy to communicate with. We were present during a huge storm, and there were a couple of issues with that, but probably to be expected. Overall, a very good value.

We made Ashok's condo our home base for a ten-day visit to the Big Island. The location was perfect - just 20 minutes from downtown Kona, close to farms, national parks, and historical sites. The condo was well-supplied with kitchen condiments and beach items, including towels, snorkels, and beach chairs. Ashok was excellent with communication and provided us with lots of information on what to expect.

We had a wonderful stay at this Kona condo! The space is comfortable and very private, with double suites each featuring their own bathroom—perfect for a relaxing two couple getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to prepare meals, and we loved having a BBQ and pool just steps away. The gym was clean and well-maintained, and the nearby farmers market within walking distance was a real treat. Our property manager was attentive and incredibly responsive, making the whole experience seamless. Highly recommend!

The response in email from the host was excellent. We felt the place itself was run down and could use a refresh as well as a maintenance person to go and fix small things. As well, the cleaners could do a better job. The photos online look much better than in person. The resort itself was excellent! Pool and hot tub wonderful, location perfect for us.

As advertised. Everything was explained very well. It is not a new condo but well maintained. No complaints about anything in the condo. The location worked well for exploring the majority of the island. We didn’t use the pool but looked very nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here! It was a great place to relax in the afternoons during the heat of day, the property was in a fantastic location to a lot of other fun activities, and the accommodations were very comfortable. We also greatly appreciated all the beach stuff that we were able to borrow during our outings. We had two young kids and there was plenty of room for them to play and run around in the home and at the pool. We highly recommend staying here if you're looking at enjoying some time in Kona!

We did not stay as planned. My wife had an emergency appendectomy on Friday afternoon and we did not make it to Kona. The owner had contacted me earlier with instructions and i replied to him that we had to cancel due to the medical emergency. I am waiting to see if i will get a refund from the owner as the cancellation was not in accordance to the cancellation guidelines.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kona. The condo was clean and well stocked. We stopped at Costco and cooked in most nights. KTA is right up the street for other groceries. We walked to the Outrigger right next door to see the manta rays at night. Great location and great condo. Ashok was good about communication with us. Would definitely recommend.

Top notch accommodation and location

We arrived after midnight and did not have to check-in. Our host made sure that security knew we would be arriving late. At 1:00am it is nice not to have to wonder where the office is. The accommodation was spotless, highly maintained, and comfortable. The resort is about 30 minutes south of Kona so it feels like a home, not a tourist place. The host responds within minutes. We had a 10pm flight out so we asked if we could check-out late if there wasn't anybody else booked for that day. We were lucky. Nobody else was booked for that day. Out host allowed it. There is a small beach with good snorkeling only 6-7 minute walk away. The ocean had 3-4 foot swells and strong currents and not safe for swimming at any of the beaches, except Kahalu'u Bay Beach. It is a protected harbor, safe for snorkeling. There are several manta ray and snorkeling tours working out of that harbor which is very convenient. No car needed to get there. There is also a sandy beach about a 10 minute drive north called Magic Sands/ White Sands beach. The grounds are immaculate and gorgeous. There is a hotel a few minutes walk away where you can watch the manta rays at night from a viewing balcony. Bring binoculars and a camera with a zoom lens. There is a shopping mall about a 5 minute drive away with a grocery store, restaurants, pet grooming, and more. Our host is fantastic, the resort is amazing, and the unit was great.

OK but issues

Property manager was nice and responded to issues quickly. The location of the property is great. We have stayed in similar units before which is why we picked this one. People have been great leaving items for others to use and even food in the fridge. This is where I have issues. First, is the owner has a Ring doorbell which he monitors and if you forget to turn up the air conditioner, he is quick to remind you. He also can control the air conditioner remotely, which he had done once when we were there. I think someone watching when we come and go is an invasion of privacy and also against Vrbo rules. I understand that electricity in expensive in Hawaii but when you rent a place, even if he tells you in advance to adjust the temp, you should be able to keep the A/C at whatever temp you want all the time. Next was the cleanliness of the place. My wife spent 1/2 day cleaning the kitchen. The oven was dirty so we had to run the clean cycle and then wipe it out. The dish rack was filthy and my wife cleaned it twice to get most of the stains out. The sinks was marked up and beyond getting cleaned. The space between the stove and the counter had a rubber spacer that was filthy underneath. We had two pest problems in the unit which the manager addressed promptly. Dead cockroach and filth behind the refrig. Broken Blinds never replaced after owner he was told 2 years ago. Pictures on the Vrbo website are old ones so not an accurate depiction. I have pictures but can't post

Mother/Daughter Trip

It's a nice spacious condo, located on lovely grounds with several pools and tennis courts onsite. It's a short walk (5 minute or less) to Keauhou Bay where there is a lovely view of the sunset and easy access to snorkeling tours, including the amazing Manta Ray Night Snorkel, offered by several companies. It was really nice to be able to walk to the night snorkel. The condo is located near many good snorkeling sites such as Kahaalu Bay and Two Step and local artisan markets (Captain Cook, the Outrigger Hotel - just next to the condo). Its a little farther from the big sandy beaches which tend to be north of Kona, though Magic Sands Beach is a nearby alternative. The condo itself does not offer a sunset view but we discovered lovely views just down the street. All in all it was a lovely stay. The grounds are quiet and had lovely flowers all around. The pools are simple but with the numerous pools around the grounds, we almost always had a pool to ourselves or with only a couple other people. The condo is also well stocked with gear such as beach chairs, a beach umbrella and such which was great to have. There's also snorkel gear, but we had brought our own. The host was very accommodating to our schedule with a late check out which was much appreciated. There's a grocery store and drugstore nearby. All in all it was a lovely stay! Thank you!
