It was in a great location. Nice and close to the ocean and able to hear the waves crashing.A bit dated some of the decor n such but worked really well for our trip as we spent most days travelling around the big island and some night and mornings in the lovely pool area. This is the perfect location for visiting the area. Just a 5 min walk to the stores and restaurants. There is a small public beach right next to the complex. Magic sands beach is a walkable distance or can take the heliobus. The supermarkets Kta or Foodland sack n save is fairly close. You really don’t need a car if you’re staying here. The unit is fairly well appointed. The kitchen has most everything one would need. Friends visiting commented how nicely the place was decorated. The view from the lanai is unsurpassed. Stunning sunsets every day. The bed is quite comfortable and lots of storage space for clothes. Convenient to have a washer dryer in the unit however if you any sensitivities you may want to bring your own detergent pods. Have given the host a few suggestions to make the renter experience even better. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend.

Lovely oceanfront condo with amazing sunset views! Loved falling asleep every night listening to the ocean waves crashing very nearby. Pool/hot tub/BBQ just steps away and conventionally located close to restaurants/bars. Will definitely stay again when heading back to the Big Island!

Room was clean. View was beautiful. Location is good. Getting to the actual room was a little tricky. Go to the lower garage and go to through the back door. Down 4 steps. That’s the easiest way in. Our room was very cool which is important to us for sleeping. Lighting was great. The host was responsive. The only thing we noted was the washer had a very musty smell and shows some rust. Still works but some people might be sensitive to that. Overall I would absolutely stay here again. Walking distance to local places.

We very much enjoyed our stay at "Hale'ohe." The condo is very thoughtfully and tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. In unit washer and dryer access was great. Enjoying coffee and cocktails oceanside on the patio was a highlight, as were the sunsets as you can see from the photos I have included. Perfect location, short walking distance from shops, bars and some delicious restaurants. Highly recommend!

Amazing view and atmosphere. Condo is in really great shape and is very comfortable. Parking is great and simple. Had a few minor issues with washer and dryer. Handle broke on dryer on our second day. Washer seemed to not be able to handle more than two face towels and two towels at once without going out of balance. Had to reduce loads and then do multiple loads to get stuff clean. Towels need to be replaced. We had to buy sanitizer and sport soap just to get them to smell good enough to use. Pool was closed on our last two days for resurfacing. We were not notified until two days before the project start. Would have considered other location had we known it was going to be closed. Don’t want to nit pick but those things mattered to us.

This condo was nicely appointed, and included CD mix’s that you could play on the stereo! The location was great, and you could walk to restaurants. We loved having the kitchen, and was able to cook multiple dinners, with the well supplied kitchen. The view was beautiful, with the sound of soothing ocean while we sat in the living room, or outside on the porch. The host Kenneth, was super responsive to any questions we had. My husband and I highly recommend this rental, and will be back again!

Lovely spot

All the amenities needed for a great vacation and the view of the ocean from the patio is spectacular with the waves crashing and seeing a few wave riders showing their skills. Awesome sunsets to the right and plenty of birdwatching and activity, too from this location. Easy walk to the market.

Gorgeous View - Disappointing experience

The location is amazing! Parking is convenient and pool is nice. However, we spent the first 3 days coordinating with maintenance to get the AC repaired, the toilet fixed and the bedroom door to shut, all was fixed. After that the construction started in the unit above - pounding, sawing drilling all day for 5 days - buyer beware...this is to go on until the end of July. I gave feedback to the host and his response was less than empathetic to our experience and no compensation was offered. I would not return.

Lovely condo, could use some upkeep

Location is great for sunset and ocean views. The listing makes it sound like you can walk to the beach from the lanai and that really isn't the case. The condo itself is quiet and well equipped, but there are stains on the couch and carpet, screen door is torn in places, and the beautiful wood doors need a good dusting. Owner responded quickly to an air conditioning issue which seems to be resolved. We enjoyed our stay.stains on the couch

We loved this place!

This was the perfect spot for my friends and me to vacation together. There is a beautiful view of the ocean from the lanai and whale sightings were plentiful. The pool is conveniently located and the grounds were clean and quiet. There are restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay in this condo.

Nice!

Hale ‘Ohe (the name of the home) is a wonderful place to stay. Superb location with a small public beach park adjacent to the South. Walk North across the lawn of the complex and access a quiet two block road into town. Much nicer than walking busy Ali’i Drive. We would book again.

Great location. Close to downtown easy to walk to. Quiet area. Unit could use some of the amenities updated….cookware, pillows, coffee maker were not the best to use. Otherwise we had a great stay.

Sunset Bonanza

A very comfortable condo stay. Comfy bed, nicely appointed kitchen and bathroom, convenient pullout sofabed. We cooked over half of hour meals during our stay. Lanai looks directly out at a November sunset, absolutely stunning location. Close to the pool area and bbq grills. You will get serenaded by resident conch shell blowers at sunset FYI :)

Oceanfront Kona condo

Great location. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Everything in condo you could possibly need for a short term stay. Permanent residents were friendly and welcoming. Elevator doesnt go to level of condo. Must have a key to get in and out of pool area which is the accessible route to condo so one of you need to be able to do a few steps to get into the unit and retrieve the pool keys. Absolutely loved sitting on the patio to watch the waves and sunsets. Residents blew into conches at sunset
