This is a great get-away location. It is about 15 minutes from the airport, beach or town. Quiet but still close to other conveniences. There is dense tropical foliage on one side of the cottage and open green space on the other. We enjoyed feeding the wild pheasants in the morning and kept a look out for the wild pigs who would pass through the yard. Our time here was very relaxing.Mary provided beach chairs, umbrella and other beach gear that we took advantage of. The kitchen items are limited but sufficient. There is no stove, but the induction hot plate was really fast. She kept us supplied with towels and linens.My wife and I are seniors and we came to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with spending 19 days here. There were a few inconveniences for us. There was no chest for clothes, so we needed to use our suitcases. The floor of the cottage is cement and the policy is no shoes in the house. While Mary did provide some thin slippers, I ended up with plantar fasciitis. There are no handles on the kitchen cupboards and drawers. The interior doors are pocket doors and not all of the flip-out latches worked. So drawers and doors were sometimes difficult to open. The chairs in the dining area and on the deck are bar stool height with arms making it difficult to sit close to the table. These matters would probably not affect younger folks but were little challenges for us. However, these inconveniences would not keep us from recommending this cabin to others.
