I will address each problem separately. First, realize 3 of our party were healthcare professionals and ALL 8 of us travel extensively and rent high-end VRBOsand 5 star housing and stay at 5 star hotels. We are SEASONED TRAVELER1) All of the areas of the house that were made of wood - especially the laundry room was RIDDLED WITH TERMITES! The inside of the house was clean and maintained, but it was really disconcerting to see the window area in the laundry room full of termites! 2) The sink fixtures in the bedroom sink were deteriorating and the knobs fell off of the sink in my bedroom repeatedly. 3) The furniture was "resting" at best. They looked dirty. 4) The TV in my bedroom did not work. 5) My bedroom had one chair - none by the work area.6) The road noise was HORRIBLE even late at night. Young drivers playing their boom box sound systems at full blare. The bedrooms on the road side were unpleasant because of the traffic noise. It was not "soothing."7) There was head lice in the pillows in one bedroom. Luckily it was a former hair stylist and 3 healthcare professionals that identified the problem and the two people in that bedroom had to pay 30 each for the head treatment! We did NOT stay at any other property during this visit to KONA.8) One of the bedroom (Room 1) had an unpleasant odor in the bathroom (almost like garbage).Although the kitchen and laundry machines were updated and great, it did NOT make the overall experience so disappointing.
