Nice property in an upscale residential neighborhood. Great Location. Being up on the bench above Kailua, the temperatures were 8-10 degrees cooler and had an evening breeze. Awesome sunsets! We had 6 adults and 3 kids (8,4,2). Plenty of room to spread out. The pool was great for the kids and recommended for a Kona vacation. We hit the beaches/snorkeled in the AM, then returned for naps and PM pool time.
The pictures are slightly dated in that the carpets have been replaced with wood floors, which is a plus.
Property Management was OK (B+), but it is not the owner. We could not talk to anyone, who had firsthand knowledge about the property. For example, were there Beach Towels available? No good answer. The fact is there are Pool Towels available, but we were not comfortable taking them to the beach. We suggest you BRING YOUR OWN BEACH TOWELS. Also you run out of supplied toilet paper, dishwasher and laundry soap after about 4-5 days. A minor annoyance, but for $500/night, couldn't a little more TP be provided?
FYI - there is a Costco in north Kailua and gas is about $1/gal. cheaper than in town.
Garage beach toy inventory - 3 boogie boards; 4 sets of well worn masks, snorkel, fins. A much needed beach shade tent in the blue bag. 2 functional, but past their prime, beach chairs. There were also some fun pool toys/floatees available.
We would stay in this property again. Aloha
