We have stayed at this property multiple times and will continue to return. The house has amazing views onto Lyman’s Point. You can watch surfers every morning while enjoying your coffee on the lawn. The owners have made several updates to the outdoor area making it more pleasant to be outdoors. We enjoyed the spa several evenings during our stay. The are several walkable restaurants from the home. We will definitely return!

Lovely home with an incredible view. I was impressed that the home was so maintained. We had a small event there mid October (paid almost $4k for 2 nights with all fees including event fee) and the AC was out. We fumbled with fans and 2 portable AC units that were brought in. We had to vent them in the windows except one unit didn’t have enough panels to vent so we tried to use the blinds to vent and it popped the GFI. It was extremely hot and humid. We did our best shuffling fans. we ended up putting 1 port unit in the kitchen without proper ventilation just vent pointed at window. At one point even tried to leave the freezer open with a fan in front of it to try to cool off the home. It was mid October so probably one of the hotter/more humid days. Getting ready for the event, kept having to take breaks and stand in front of the fans. We were able to cool off the master bedroom with the other portable unit, but the rest of the house was hot. We knew it was out of the owner’s hands and he did bring in the the 2portable units. He was extremely pleasant to deal with, but we were not offered any discount for the trouble. Overall, our evening event turned out lovely, but the trouble of shuffling fans, trying to vent portable units that didn’t have enough panels to cool off the home (i feel) should’ve justified a small compensation, but none was offered. Had the AC situation not happened, it would of been perfect.

The photos on the VRBO site are completely accurate. This place is magical! Experiencing the sight and sound of the waves rolling into the small bay that is the centerpiece of the house, especially early in the morning and at sunset, was mesmerizing. The house is just far enough away from Kona center to feel private, but close enough to get supplies, dinner, etc.

We had an incredible time. The house was beautiful. Going to sleep to the sound of the waves was amazing. Host was incredibly attentive. We loved the hot tub. We highly recommend this exquisite home.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! In opening my families review of this incredible property I will lead with: If you don't enjoy the sound of waves do not stay here! My family enjoyed this special place from February 20, 2024, until March 5, 2024. This property has everything you needed to feel like home. We cooked up many an incredible meal for family and friends that left no need to eat out each night. The Lanai table be it early morning or evening was a perfect setting to visit, watch sunrises and sunsets, enjoy the incredible meals, or just to rest in solitude. The lawn area below by the rock wall was a great place to sit in chairs and watch all the sea life below in the tide pools. Feeding the six eels when the tide was in was one of our trip's highlights. Any fish trimmings would always start a feeding frenzy when they located their prey. The beds were comfortable. The fans above and the sea breezes thru the patio door screens was all the cooling affect you might need. We didn't feel the need to turn on the A.C. at any time. The bathrooms like the whole house were very clean. Hot water was never a problem taking multiple showers in the morning or evening. The kitchen cabinets we loaded with everything you would ever need to cook whatever meal was needed. The electric stove was a little tricky for us, I think mainly all of us had gas ranges at home. The barbecue though simple did and incredible job at grilling great steaks and seafood. Thanks David you were a great host Cheers!

Traveled to Hawaii many times over past 50 years. we have stayed in many top resorts and many rentals. this place was by far the best value based on location & condition. we will be going back to this home in the future, it was truly a gem. regards,

We booked Dave's place to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday. The day prior to arriving, I had messaged Dave for check in instructions as I had not received anything. He replied many hours later saying he would text me the details. Never have I had to give personal phone number to get check in details, so I did not feel comfortable doing so, and on the day of the check-in, I messaged him on vrbo again for check in details. No reply. Long story short, we had to be re- wait 2 hours to get check in information

Beautiful location- best view on the island! The house was fully stocked with everything you need including washing pods and seasonings (saved some money). The neighborhood cat was an added bonus. This house is close to lots of shopping and beaches. It was great!

House was great, true to the pics. Feeding the eels, seeing the neighborhood cat, gazing at the tide pools, enjoying the hot tub, and lounging at the surf was awesome. Home was in great shape. Location is good too, very close to restaurants and beaches for snorkeling or enjoying the waves in the water at magic sands.

Beautiful waterfront home near center of town with spectacular views from upstairs and downstairs master bedrooms. House gives a great tropical vacation vibe, well appointed with all comforts. It was a humid time in Kona but the whole house AC worked perfectly for sleeping while providing open access to the waterfront yard and porch. We are a 3-generation family of 6 adults (ages 74,73, 57, 50, 23 and 21) and it was perfect for all of us. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions and made the entire process stress-free. I would come back again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful time at this property. Plenty of space for our family of 5, well stocked kitchen and fabulous outdoor space. We loved that we could snorkel just steps away from the property, be careful at low tide though. Honestly we didn’t even need to snorkel anywhere else, there were so many fish right behind the house!

WOW! This property—the house, the lanai, the yard, the view—is spectacular! Capt Dave was very easy to communicate with. Great house for a family. Those with very young kids will need to be attentive to stairs and backyard garden wall facing water. Snorkeling in the bay is great!
