Felt like home

I stayed here on an extended work trip and it was hands down the best place I have stayed on the island. It felt like home, and I truly was able to have a nice quiet place to decompress and wind down at the end of each day. The owners were communicative, kind, and welcoming. The proximity to the beach and heart of town was a major plus. So glad I chose this place, and I cannot say enough good things about it.

Wonderful hosts, location, and stay!

Our hosts were so welcoming and accommodating! The location is perfect, with easy beach access, in a quiet section of Kalama tract. Modern furnishings and a large TV were great and made for comfort. It's always nice to have a kitchen, tho if you cook and bake, it's a bit of a challenge. And there are no screens on main windows and door. It's a bit dark and the patio is a bit stark.

Great place, convenient location and very quiet.

Very comfortable for 2 people. Well equipped with everything needed including dish soap, shampoo, toilet paper etc. Close to the beach and a short drive to groceries and restaurants.

Perfect in Kailua 🌺

This VRBO was exactly what we were looking for! Kailua town was less than a mile away, and the beach is just a few minutes walk. The apt. (which is connected to the house, but is completely PRIVATE), has its own private entry. Super short walk to a not-crowded, white sandy beach. They provided beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards and bicycles. The kitchen is completely stocked! They had rice cooker, toaster oven, dishes, tupperware, all the pots, pans, utensils, colander...literally everything you need. The stove, oven and microwave all worked perfectly. The grill outside (in our private area), was fantastic and we used it often. Large (American size), frig and freezer, with ice maker. The kitchen had a bar-level island with chairs, so making dinner and eating there was so convenient. The towels were of very good quality, so were the linens on the beds. The ceiling fans in the living area and bedroom, were very efficient. The washer and drier were updated and very good quality. There was also a vacuum cleaner, which made it nice. Lots of storage with a full sized closet and chest of drawers. The place felt very spacious and was easy to keep tidy. Really appreciated our own, off-street parking space right in front of our entrance. This place is in a quiet, residential area, which made getting a good night sleep easy. We highly recommend this place. Kim and Zac were very nice, and we will definitely stay there again!

Comfortable and private

My husband and I stayed at this property for four weeks. It’s a great location with a short walk to Kailua beach. The kind hosts were very accommodating and eager to please; providing snorkeling gear and boogie boards at our request. The oven had a glitch after the first week, however the host said they would take care of it right away. We enjoyed the comfort of the king size bed and the property was very private allowing for a good nights rest.

Perfect For Us

We loved our stay here. The cottage is roomy, clean, attractive, and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We spent time outside on our private lanai every day. And the location is hard to beat. My husband walks with a cane and he could easily reach the beach in 5 minutes. Kim and Zac are great hosts. They were available when we needed them but never intrusive. They went above and beyond to make my husband, who has some physical limitations, feel welcome and safe.

Close to Beach, Private, Quality Amenities

One of our best stays back in the Islands; we frequent Kailua rentals. This one is perfect! Clean, newly updated, well equipped, extra/helpful amenities that made our stay easy and comfortable, peaceful and private. Easy 5-min walk to beach. Kim and Zac are most welcoming and attentive. Location is great. Quiet part of the island. Very close to public beach access. Two wall a/c units did not keep space cool during hot summer month. Bedroom unit did make sleeping comfortable.

Location, Location, and Kim and Zac!!

Super short walk to the beach (4 minutes?) which for us...was the point. We went a couple times a day to walk the beach, relax on the sand, and enjoy Kailua's relaxed life. Kim and Zac were immediately there every time we had a question or a need. The accommodations were all comfortable, clean, and thoughtful. They even provided the BEST beach chairs! Mahalo!

Excellent in every way!

We totally enjoyed our stay, a quiet, peaceful, yet convenient location. The quality of the home and furnishings was excellent. The attention to detail was very much appreciated, the quality of the appliances: refrigerator, stove, microwave, both a coffee pot and Keurig, a traditional toaster and a toaster oven, the blenders, TV, front loading washer and dryer, an air conditioner in both the living area as well as the bedroom, and the very comfortable king bed. We lacked nothing. And, if we needed anything, the follow-up by Kim or Zac was immediate. We recommend without hesitation.

Perfect place in paradise!

I am soooo happy I chose this rental, truly a perfect experience!!! The property is beautiful, large & spacious, filled with all the amenities you might need. Great kitchen for cooking, fast wifi, Two smart TVS, & beautiful private courtyard. It is quiet, safe, and so relaxing. Anything you might need is available to you! (for cooking/cleaning, also towels, beach chairs, etc) The beach is only a block away, and absolutely beautiful 💙 The hosts are INCREDIBLE and will go above & beyond to help you in any way during your stay. Truly great people with real aloha spirit ☺️✨ You will not have any regrets booking here!!! I felt right at home & will miss this slice of paradise! Couldn’t be happier with the experience, in all ways it was wonderful. Clean, cozy space, with beautiful decor & VERY comfy bed, & such kindness from the hosts. Highly recommend to all!!!! 😃😃😃🤙🏽

A cozy home away from home

This place was our home for a month this winter and we couldn't have picked a better spot. Kim and Zac were fantastic hosts - always friendly, always ready to help or offer suggestions for things to do around Oahu. When our original travel plans ran into some unforeseen delays Kim and Zac were super understanding and flexible, and worked with us to reschedule our stay. The rental unit is attached to the host house, but it has its own entrance and patio which provide guests with plenty of privacy. It is well furnished and has fast internet access, which also makes it perfect for longer vacations or "workcations." The house is located in a cozy residential neighborhood of Kailua, only a block away from Kalama/Kailua beach, and just a short 1-mile drive or bike ride away from Kailua's restaurants and grocery stores. With its perfect location and friendly hosts, this place is a gem and we hope to come back to it someday!

Just what I needed. The perfect hosts in paradise.

I was so in need of a quiet, safe, and near the beach experience for my getaway, and this property turned out to be more than expected. The host family for one, turned out to be wonderful people. At the last minute I did let them know I was coming with an injury I was recovering from, and they actually took extra steps to make my stay even more comfortable. I did not expect it, but loved that they thought about me in that way. Made the Aloha spirit very real. They responded quickly to any questions or requests. I was able to have the quiet time I needed and get easily over to the beach when I wanted, especially due to their extra kindness. We can’t wait to return as soon as possible. I highly recommend their beautiful and fully equipped vacation rental. Thank you so much and we look forward to seeing you again!

An extraordinary getaway in Paradise

The charming residence on Omao Street is meticulously designed to provide everything a traveling single or couple could desire while visiting Kailua on Oahu. The location, a block from the beach, is perfect. The bungalow (attached to, but separate from the property managers’ home) is modern, clean, charming, and comfortable, and is meticulously planned and maintained. Internet and TV services are excellent. Kitchen appliances and washer & dryer are first-rate. Local stores and restaurants are easily accessed. The managers are personable, welcoming, and constantly available, and perfectly reflect the thoughtfulness and attention to detail that permeate the apartment. On a scale of 1 to 10, we would rate it a 12. Only down side? Having to leave. Highly, highly recommended in every respect. Aloha!

Home away from home

It’s such a pleasure to arrive to welcoming and interesting owners, a property that is as good as the photos and all in a great location. This is a well appointed property with everything you need, in a quiet but close location to Kailua town and the beach is over the road. A great owners guide with recommendations for places to eat, things to do whatever the weather, and more than adequate operating instructions for appliances, aircon and entertainment systems. Where you stay--and who's there to help, makes all the difference

We so enjoyed our charming and private suite--with all of its comfort and well-thought-out amenities. After a rigorous day of paddling, it was so great coming back to our "home in the islands." Kim and Zac went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable and happy. They were right there if you needed something, but otherwise we felt like we had a wonderfully private retreat. After Barbara lamented about not bringing her walking sticks from California, Zac showed up with a pair that he found locally. When we needed "local knowledge," both Kim and Zac helped us hugely. The suite felt understatedly elegant and serene. It was immaculate, well furnished--and most of all, comfortable and welcoming. And how could we not appreciate brand new washers and dryers and everything else you'd never find in hotels. We liked the great restaurants that they recommended, but we also loved our place so much that we often made a late afternoon Whole Foods run and had our dinner in the suite or on the patio soaking up the evening trade winds. While we had planned a full schedule of paddling, it was so wonderful having all of their beach toys--snorkels, fins, beach chairs, boogie boards, that we could grab and walk to the beach with. And the beach--which was only a stroll to the end of the block, was never crowded and was always stunning. We'd turn one direction and go for a mile or so and the next day, go the other way enjoying dunes, surf, palm trees, and those beautiful clouds skirting above the surf. We took a night photo of the twinkling lights at our private entrance--with a string of them in a heart shape, reminding us how much we fell for this place. Kim and Zac have done something special. We feel blessed to have found them--and know that we're now friends. Aloha, Jocko and Barbara

Lovely Kailua Getaway

Well situated, great suite and hosts were awesome! We had a really great stay. Although the suite is attached to the main house by a wall, the family was very respectful, friendly and quiet. The suite had everything you would need for your stay, separate entrance with dedicated parking, the bed was comfortable, the decor was really tasteful and pleasant, and just a short walk to the beautiful beach. We were very happy with our choice and would definitely consider staying again when we return to Kailua in the future. Thank you Kim and Zach!

Cozy getaway

I stayed here with my wife for 10 days and we absolutely loved it! The place perfectly fits two people and it is extremely cozy. Kim was very accommodating and very quick to respond to our messages. We would definitely stay here again.

A great location and an even better home...

After living on the island for three years, we knew we wanted to stay on the windward side of the island. This location is a short walk to one of the best beaches in the world and I enjoyed a beautiful sunrise every morning we were there. The space itself was well designed and warmly appointed. It was up to date and spacious. We comfortable were able to host some friends for a game night and a couple of meals. The dedicated off-street parking was great as well. For those that aren't familiar with the island, the owners have a great booklet in the room with ideas on what to do around the island to include ideas for rainy days. Our brief interaction with the hosts was great as well. We will be back!
