I should have paid closer attention to the listing photos. Everything was fine but the room with three beds had no door, no curtain on the window, the “bathroom” was a part of the bedroom with a half curtain partially blocking the toilet. Getting up to the room was on very small stairs (more like a ladder) with large gaps between. All of these things made this not a good room for younger children. If my kids had been any younger I don’t think we could have stayed for safety reasons. Again, I should have looked at the pictures closer. Also no bathtub for small kids and the showers are very small. The home is overall nice with good amenities but shows lots of signs of age. We didn’t use them but appreciate that there were pool and beach toys, family games, and baby gear. Host was quick to respond and very professional.

Our stay was amazing! The place had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and fun. It had a well stocked kitchen and lots of extras for the beach. We loved the area, it was so close to the beach and just a few minutes away from other great beaches and waterfalls. The grocery store and food trucks were close by. I would definitely recommend this place for a stay on the north shore!

Excellent location - great for family

The condo was everything we needed! It is in a great location on the north shore with plenty to do within 20 minutes. It’s about a 10 minute walk to an excellent beach or a 10-15 minute drive to the best snorkeling spot on Oahu at Sharks Cove. The unit does run warm with no central AC and even with the doors open to allow the breeze thru in the living room it’s still not cool in June during the day. Also, the AC wasn’t great in the kids room on the third floor loft and it’s really not a private half bath if folks are sharing the loft. While bugs did get in from having the windows open the unit itself was incredibly clean and had everything we needed to cook dinner. Would absolutely stay here again.

North Shore Adventure

We really enjoyed the resort grounds and the easy access to the beach. The restaurants at the resort were good but limited. The North Shore is a remote area so access to surrounding areas can be tricky with the traffic.

We had a dream vacation at Turtle Bay

Helena's condo was perfect for our family of four. Clean, comfortable, beautiful location, convenient to the pool and the property walking paths. Delicious iced coffee every day at Lei Lei's, sunsets at the Pill Box. Easy drive to the food trucks at Kahuku and the west beaches. Plus, we caught the Eddie Surf Comp 2024!

Very pretty and comfortable

It was a relaxing 2 days for our family as we were able to walk along the beaches one morning and spend a day at the Polynesian Cultural Center just15 minutes away. 2 couples were in the bedrooms, my adult nephew was in the upper room with twin beds and I slept on the sofa bed which was fine for 2 nights. We enjoyed the pool right out our door. Very clean and comfortable indoor furniture and a very pleasant spot on the patio for coffee and bird watching. The place will cool down enough with open windows and doors and the AC cooled off the living room for sleeping one night. Nearest grocery stores are 10-15 minutes either direction (though one is in a 'dry' town so no alcohol purchases). Rooms are as pictured on the site.

Our family had an amazing vacation in this beautiful part of the island. The property was perfect for our group. The description was accurate and Helena was a gracious host. We were conveniently located on the North Shore and would certainly book the villa again. Highly recommend!

Excellent Property

We had a family group stay with grandparents, parents and 3 kids 6 - 2. Property was just as described and pictured. Everything was clean and in good working order. Unit was well stocked for family group with plenty of dishes, towels, etc. Kids loved the pool that is just a few feet from front door. Unit is on a golf course that is not currently being used but is maintained so it was like having a large park right out the lanai. Highly recommend for family stay.

Turtle Bat

This was a great location and the hosts were excellent communicators. The golf course outside has a path you can follow to the neighboring resort for cocktails or dinner, and the beach is only a short walk. We would definitely return.

Home away from home

Lovely property. Condo well kept up. We were able to use this property as home base and explore all the beaches and towns on the north shore. Parking passes were provided for 2 vehicles. Which was great as we had 6 in our group. 3 bedrooms. 2 full bathrooms and 2 half bathrooms! Fully kitted kitchen, full size washer dryer, all the beach needs provided (towels, chairs, boogie boards etc.)

Fantastic Property

We just completed a 6 night stay in 2 units hosted by Helena and a 3rd unit with a different host! Helena’s properties far out rank the other one! Property was clean, well maintained and perfectly appointed! Views are incredible from rear lanai’s. Beds were comfy. The gray couch, not so much, but if you’re sitting on a couch in this area, you’re a fool anyway! Highly recommend !

Great Family Rental

We were very pleased with the layout of the property. The upstairs area with 3 single beds was great for our 4,6, and 9 year olds, although I was initially anxious about those funky stairs. Well supplied kitchen, living room furniture that is functional not fussy. Pool access was a plus. Interactions with Helena were great!

Great location for a North Shore stay

There were many great things about this unit. extremely close to the pool, close to the turtle bay amenities and trails, close to beaches. We really loved the location and even got to know one of the neighbors pretty well. The unit backs on to a "defunct" golf course that is super well maintained still, which makes it great for tossing around a frisbee or ball during downtime between excursions. Some of the reviews focus in on the dated decor and finishes of the unit. The finishes of the unit appear to be original with some pieces being a little updated. If you are looking for a place that feels like you are the first ones to stay there then move on and plan on paying more. We didn't spend a ton of time other than to sleep so we got over the well-used characteristics quickly and just enjoyed all the really good things about the location. Hawaii has some invasive lizards and frogs and they are in full force in this area. Our kids enjoyed trying to identify the types they saw. Bugs weren't an issue for us, not sure if that was the time of year we were there or other reviewers really are just leaving the barn doors wide open. Would stay again in the future. Thanks!!
