Fabulous stay in a fantastic condo!

We spent 3 weeks in this beautiful and nicely equipped condo. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and many nice extras. Kahana Reef may be older, but it has had a recent facelift since our last stay and you couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. We enjoyed watching the whales and turtles from our lanai, using the community barbecue, and enjoying the wonderful warm pool. Rhett and Maria were very helpful and responsive when we dealt with a minor issue. We will not hesitate to book this unit in the future!

Great place for great views

This property has excellent views. We had beautiful sunsets and rainbows during our stay. This is a perfect place for couples. We had our two younger children with us. There is a pool on site. They have on site grills available to use as well. The property managers were excellent. We had several questions and they were not only helpful but also accommodating. Tip for those that would be traveling with kids under age 10, maybe not an ideal spot. While we were there, seemed to be more older people staying there that didn't want any noise. Overall, ideal for couples.

It is a perfect condo for 2 people. Linens and towels are nice, plenty of kitchen things and I really appreciated having 4 beach towels and all the other beach accessories available. I do wish the laundry room had been open for longer hours, however and I know it has nothing to do with the owner. Overall, a great stay and the view was spectacular.

paradise!

Maria and Rhetts home was exactly as described! And they were very good at communicating with us! From the time we arrived we felt at peace and relaxed! The view is amazing and the sound of the waves are so calming! Exactly what we were looking for! Location was great! We love the Aloha life style! Definitely would love to return some day!

Great location, great property, great value!

We had a wonderful week staying at Maria and Rhett’s condo. Consistent with the other reviews, the space was clean, updated, tastefully decorated, with plenty of wares in the kitchen to prepare and enjoy about any meal. The bed was extremely comfortable, as was the other furniture. The Lanai, just a stones throw from the water, provided the perfect spot for whale watching and sunset dinners. We even had a pair of turtles at the sea wall below us. The information provided was extremely helpful…everything from great grocery and dining tips to an education on the microclimates of Maui. Though it will be nice when completed and easy access to the beach will be appreciated, the sea wall construction and detour to the beach were non-issues for us.

New Years in Kahana, Maui

This condo is bright and beautiful. Awesome views, great location, fully stocked with everything you can think of. The owner's are wonderful to work with and quickly answer any questions and provide lots of information. Highly recommend Kahana Reef!

Clean update condo bad timing

The condo was clean and updated. Overlooks the ocean. Unfortunately there was more than just construction going on. There was a large whole on the ground outside our lanai with a bulldozer and jackhammers working on the sea wall. It was so loud you couldn’t even talk to each other in the condo. Fumes were coming in from the large equipment/trucks and there is no airconditioning so we could not close the windows. I was told that the construction would not interfere with our stay but it was unbearable. To spend all that money on a dream vacation. The owners were quick to respond with our texts and emails and we only stayed 1 night and had to find a new place at the last minute. We were refunded only 1/2 our money as we were outside the limits of the contract for a full refund. There is no way I would have rented this place if I knew it was a demolition site versus some construction. Lesson learned.

Incredible location, view, condo, and host

We did a ton of research prior to picking this property. The hosts were great in answering questions promptly and with detail when we had them. They also provided a ton of valuable info about where we were staying and what to do. Once we arrived we found a very clean and up to date property. The bed and pillows were outstanding. The place was actually nice and quiet overall, with the only noise coming if you leave the windows open in the bedroom when a few guests were outside, but it didn't last long. The view from the lanai (balcony) is exceptional. Waves breaking a few hundred yards out, plus hitting the wall which protects the sitting area. You can see Molokai, and your own little beach just down the way. A walk of about 50 yards gets you to said beach, of which provides incredible snorkeling literally right out in front of your condo. The host has boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, and beach chairs for your use. The temperature inside cools off in about 3 minutes once you open everything up. The couches and chair are soft and comfy. There are two TV's available, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, but I couldn't tell you if they work or not since we never considered turning them on (it's Hawaii, so unless you have kids get yer rear end outside :). The physical location is great as well. It's in an area that feels more like a beach town than say Wailea which feels like the pompus Florida type location. We drove the whole island, and this is a great starting point. Our fave spots were closest to this location, so turns out we made a great choice. For the price, location, view, and accommodations this was a great choice. Jeff and Tristan from Northern CA

We have stayed at many locations in Maui and this one was my husband’s favorite. It’s location is close to everything and the condo is extremely comfortable. We would stay here again.

Lovely Unit!

We've stayed at Kahana Reef many times, but not in this particular unit. Great view with "Infinity Pool" like effect from the second floor looking out onto the ocean from inside. Had everything we needed - fully outfitted kitchen, snorkel gear, boogie boards, etc. Pull-out bed was comfortable enough for the solo traveler in the group. We've stayed at many oceanfront properties on this side of the island, and Kahana Reef is our favorite. Very quiet and not a lot of activity compared to some of the other busier places. If you have not been here, you won't be disappointed!

Lovely condo in a great location!

My spouse and I stated here for four nights in January 2019. Beautiful condo, fully updated and the location was awesome. Beautiful views from the lanai as the condo is oceanfront. Tide was very high while we were there so did not get to take advantage of the beach there to snorkel. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent condo right on the beach!

This condo was right on the water with a great view! The second story is where you want to be so that you get a better view of the ocean. We saw plenty of whales and a couple turtles while sitting on the balcony. The property was well manicured and the staff was very nice. The owner was great to deal with. Everything in the property was very nice and looked like it has just gotten a facelift. Parking was never a problem. I went snorkeling right off the beach every day with the reef right out front of the property. I would highly recommend staying at this property!
