Our stay in Maui with My Perfect Stays was unfortunately a very disappointing experience, especially since this trip was meant to celebrate my one-year wedding anniversary with my husband and my in-laws.When we arrived, we quickly realized the air conditioning in the unit was not working. We spent the first two days trying to troubleshoot it ourselves. After contacting My Perfect Stays, it took another two days before they arranged for someone to come inspect the unit. During that time, we spoke with the front desk at the property and were told that the air conditioning had actually been out for nearly two weeks prior to our arrival. We were never informed of this issue before checking in.Because of the heat, we had to keep the windows open. Unfortunately, the wind at night was extremely strong, causing the curtains and panels to slam loudly. Combined with noise from people yelling in the parking lot, it made sleeping very difficult. This was also particularly concerning because my father-in-law has a heart condition and relies on comfortable temperatures. When I requested a partial refund due to the lack of air conditioning and the inconvenience caused, both the host and My Perfect Stays refused. The alternative offered was to move us to another unit in the next building, which in our opinion did not match in value or amenities. They also asked us to pay additional money to relocate to a different property.I would strongly recommend avoiding this property/the host.
