Great stay - balcony perfect

We loved our stay - easy to park and access, we spent every sunset on the balcony. Appreciated the chairs, umbrella, and cooler!

Great view

We had a great 9 day stay at the end of March. The whale watching and relaxing on the lanai was such a highlight of our visit. The unit was well appointed and close to amenities. We would stay here again!

Amazing views

We had an amazing trip. Condo is as advertised you’ll have phenomenal views everyday we saw turtles whales and a monk seal all from the lanai. We will definitely be coming back.

Amazing Stay!!

The property was exactly as decribed and perfect for what we were looking for. The unit was clean and well appointed. The point of contact was very responsive and had clear communication so we never had to guess at next steps. You cant get closer to an ocean view!! I would definitely revisit.

Front row to Whale Watching

We found the unit to be comfortable and well equipped with all the essentials. The lanai put us front and center for great whale watching. We spent hours enjoying the breeze and the sounds of the surf. Amazing location.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the condo. The view was great and enjoyed watching the surfers. My only suggestion would be to have a taller table and chairs on the lanai so you do not look through the bars. Would recommend this condo for a great stay.

Absolutely Perfect!

We stayed at this condo during whale season and, as the description says, it is the best spot for whale watching! The entire place is beautiful and clean with a spectacular view and access to the beach. The pool area is great too! There are 2 clean grills and a full kitchen. I highly recommend it!

We had a 5 star stay at your lovely condo. it was a great and relaxing time. We did and saw several of the activities, places and restaurants you recommended. All very good. It was a restful vacation too, thanks to the comfort of your condo and the awesome deck time enjoying the view.

Wonderful Stay, Location and Condo

We had a great time at Maui Kai! So close to the Ocean but very quiet. We saw turtles, whales and dolphins right from the Lanai. The condo has binoculars and a conch shell horn to blow at sunset along with all of the neighbors in the complex. We will definately visit again and stay here.

Outer door to condo looked like ghetto housing and and we were a bit taken back, but once we got into the condo it was nice and clean and met all our needs. We had an issue with the living room TV but I was able to trace all the wiring and found that a cable between the TV and cable box had been disconnected. We were unable to contact the owner by e-mail or phone. We settled in and found the place to be a good location with a nice view and quite comfortable.
The bird on our Lanai and view of the ocean and Two islands. We saw lots of turtles, seals, and one big fish I believe was a shark.

relaxing getaway

we could unfortunately only stay for 4 nights, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. watched MANY many whales play right in front of us on our last morning. we did not want to leave. many little things (binos, cooler...) helped us enjoy our stay to the fullest. great place: well appointed and clean.

Ridiculous Ocean View

I would pay to just sleep on the lanai. Our stay was amazing. We couldn't always snorkel down outside the hotel, but when we did it was the best snorkeling we've ever done. Turtles everywhere, tons of fish of all sizes, great location for us, walkable to Snorkel Bob's and ABC Store. It was nicer than the $1500/night suite my mom got down the street.

Best option in Maui

Words can not express how much we love this place and the owners. They do everything they can to make sure you enjoy your stay. The lanai is spectacular and having the ability to cook and eat on the lanai is a dream come true. Highly recommend this place. This was our second year to stay here and we will always opt for Maui Kai over any other luxury hotel (which is where we've stayed in the past) or condo/rental.

Beautiful View!!!

We stayed the end of May, and it was amazing. This condo has everything you need and the best part is the lanai! We were even able to see a sea turtle. I loved spending every morning on the lanai with my coffee and breakfast. We also used the beach chairs and cooler for our afternoons on the beach! I will definitely stay here again :)

We booked this for our anniversary and this stay exceeded all expectations. The view is breathtaking and you can listen to the waves crashing. We hate leaving!!! But we will be back!!!

Great View! Average condo.

We enjoyed our time in Maui. The view from this condo on the 10th floor facing the ocean is as advertised is exactly as advertised - outstanding.The condo itself is in decline, a victim of age and the aggressive salt atmosphere. Lots of rust on appliances and doorways.

Last minute vacation saver!

When we had a horrible experience with our condo at a different complex that "stretched the truth" about their amenities, we needed to find another place to stay on very short notice. We felt lucky to find the Gem of Maui available!Cathy was extremely accommodating with our predicament. She even let us in a bit early so we could transfer our refrigerated and frozen items, saving us hundreds of dollars! The unit is exactly as described. I'd even say they undersell the balcony/lanai - the privacy and view of the sunset are spectacular!Looking forward to returning.

Fantastic vacation condo

The location of this condo was perfect and the views from the lanai were spectacular. We spent many hours enjoying the ocean and turtles from our penthouse view. The Maui Kai is a small complex, very quiet and relaxing. It is very easy to get to other places on the island from here. As others have said, the condo itself is beautifully appointed and met every need we had for our stay. Highly recommended and next time we plan a trip to Maui, this will be my preferred lodging choice.

Best "on the ocean" condo on Maui

My wife and I stayed at this beautiful condo for all of November. Can't beat the location or the view. We were actually 10' from the beach on the top floor. The owner was awesome to deal with. Try this place out. You owe it to yourself. We saw titles and spinner Dolphins and the whales were just coming in.
