The beach front property was in great shape great view. The pool was phenomenal..My only concern was could not use one of the TVs because everything is old school type set upI would definitely recommend this to anybody I knew and will recommend to people we know

Right from the start, our host Rachelle was incredibly informative and helpful, providing information that proved invaluable for our stay. The complex is absolutely stunning and just minutes from some of the island’s most beautiful beaches.We could literally watch turtles swimming in the sea right from the window, and the sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep every night. The kitchen was very well-equipped with everything we needed, and we loved that there were outdoor BBQs available (spotlessly clean, just like the rest of the property).The beds were extremely comfortable, the apartment was spotless, and honestly we felt completely at home. We genuinely can’t think of a single thing we would change.Thank you, Rachelle, for a truly memorable stay!

The condo provided everything we wanted and needed. The view was spectacular, and the lanai furniture was perfect for viewing sitting and relaxing. Rachel was a very prompt and accommodating host throughout the entire rental process. We had stayed at Papakea on one other occasion, and we really like the location and pools and grounds very much. Loved being right on the ocean. Also love that the Papakea resort is so close to everything. Furniture in the condo is a bit dated, we didn’t do any cooking but the kitchen is well equipped. Ocean front bed was very comfortable. All in all a wonderful 9 days in beautiful Maui.

We’ve been to this property many times (both with and without young children) and love it here. The view from this particular unit is amazing from sun up to sun down (and even great for star gazing!). We enjoyed most meals on the lanai turtle watching, listening to the waves, and all around relaxing. Host was incredibly kind and wonderful with her communication. It was hot during our stay and the A/C worked great - appreciated having the split units and the option to open the windows and allow the trade winds to come through. We were very comfortable! Truly a little slice of paradise!

Amazing stay! The condo was clean, spacious, and right on the ocean. We loved waking up to the sound of the waves and having coffee with stunning views from the porch. Fully stocked with everything we needed and in a great location close to Lahaina, restaurants, and snorkeling. The property is beautiful, the pools and grounds are well kept, and having no resort fees was a huge plus. Internet is fast too. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful vacation and loved the location of Papakea. There's a great surf shop for rentals, a grocery store, and a coffee and pastry cafe, all within a 5-minute walk. The beach is just to the left, we walked it nightly and stopped off at different resorts to eat. The place has a beautiful view of the ocean and space for the family. This place is definitely a top pick for a unit if you want to have a direct view of the ocean. Our family was planning on breaking our stay up between the north, south, and East areas. We stayed down south for a couple of nights, but ended up extending our time here because everyone preferred it to other locations.

Great Views!

Amazing spot! Highly recommend staying here. The condo could definitely use a refresh of upholstery, & new lamps (they’re literally falling apart). Aside from that it’s a beautiful spot and I hope to stay again!!

Great stay in Paradise!

The Papakea never lets us down. Grounds and pools are wonderful! Great place for families with nice beach just steps away. Our oceanfront unit was very nice and the closet well stocked with beach toys and chairs etc. a little maintenance on the slatted glass louver windows to make them open and close fully would be helpful! Otherwise a very nicely remodeled unit overall and the lanai oceanfront is amazing! We had a great time and would definitely come back!!

Papakea L305

Our stay at Papakea L305 was perfect for us. The condo is located right on the ocean where we enjoyed our morning coffee while watching the whales. It had all the amenities we needed to cook and grill. It has two true bedrooms instead of one bedroom and a loft like others that we have stayed in at Papakea. Thanks for the allowing us to use your home away from home for a few days.

Great Place to Stay

So glad we stayed here! This is a great unit in a great complex offered by a great host. The condo is located on the west side of Maui right next to Kaanapali beach. As in the description, the kitchen and bathroom have been nicely updated. We are a family of four and the condo provided plenty of space for us all. Communication with the host was great in answering all our questions and accommodating us by converting the twin beds into a king. We so enjoyed listening to the ocean and watching the whales in the morning with our coffee. This place will be recommended to any of our family and friends going to Hawaii.

Whale Watching Wonder

From the beautiful lanai you can look out in the distance and see whales spouting, and from time to time leaping out of the water. (next time I'll make sure I bring my binoculars for even better viewing).Loved the closeness to other resort areas to the south by using the boardwalk starting at the Papakea property. Yes, a bit of a dodge around two properties that don't connect, but once we learned the route it was easy-peasy. Could walk to Duke's restaurant at Honu Kai in just 12 minutes, and then continue on all the way to near Black Rock Point for a nice 5 mile round trip walk.Plenty of close by places to eat, Times Market just a 5 minute walk, plus other shops. An ABC market is even closer through a back-gate on the property which is great.Papi's cinnamon rolls is a real gem.... but you better be in line 20 minutes before they open at 7am, or you may have a long hour wait to enjoy them. Will be looking forward to our next visit even more now that we've scoped out the area and how to get around.Mahalo nui loa

Perfect stay

This is the perfect place to stay! The view from the unit is incredible, waking up to whales swimming in the distance and the sounds of the ocean was so amazing. Close to everything you need and want to do in the area, I will definitely be staying here again. The host is very responsive and kind. This could not have been a better stay!

Great location, quiet and clean

Overall, a great location. The pictures represent the space well. It was quiet and clean. Close enough to walk to breakfast or coffee in the morning. No real beachfront, but that was made clear in the property description. The TVs were definitely on the small side and we never got them to work, but we were too busy exploring the area to really care. I highly recommend, it was a great location for my husband and my two elementary school age children and I.
