Super cute island-themed, plantation style place. The description accurately pointed out that “critters” are a part of island life—as long as you expect this, it’s no big deal. If you are out during the afternoons (hottest part of the day) the temperature is pleasant the rest of the day, however, we had a baby that napped in the afternoon and the windows aren’t really sealed and the in-room A/C units aren’t powered to handle mid-day heat, so it does get toasty during the hottest few hours of the afternoon. Also, the bedrooms mainly just have frosted glass window treatments with no actual shades or covering, so it’s pretty bright at the crack of dawn—fine if you’re up with the surf, but a little more challenging if you don’t want to rise with the sun.
The automated emails and checkin process was super efficient. There’s a phone # listed with office hours and an after hours process, which I didn’t need to use, however, we used Maui Baby service to rent a crib during our stay and they were unable to get any response from the management company to let them in to deliver the crib despite reaching out a few times.
It would have been good to know about the A/C and Windows/blinds in advance, but we made due, and overall a great stay. Would definitely consider again.
