The condo was exactly as listed, 100% clean and well furnished. We loved sitting on the balcony to watch the sunset each day. Great proximity to restaurants and shopping!

Great stay at Kaanapali Alii

The size of our accommodation was perfect for 2 couples and an infant. Having a kitchen was a plus for us. We loved the children’s pools, the shallow water was perfect for our almost 1 yr old granddaughter to crawl around and splash in. The grounds are immaculate and staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay again!

This was for our 35th wedding anniversary. It was perfect! Beautiful ocean view and quiet surroundings. It was close to shopping and restaurants and tours! Had the best time!

My favorite property

Kaanapali Ali’i is my favorite place to stay on Maui. This was a special trip for my dad and me in memory of my mom’s passing. The condo was great. Amazing view especially perfect for sunset watching, I can only imagine during whale season. While the layout was odd if I was buying it was great for vacation. The 2nd bedroom does open onto the living room. We had a problem with the Tv and the property manager responded immediately. The property itself is beautiful. Very quiet and well kept. The staff is so friendly. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a Maui getaway. I’ll definitely be renting from Maui Resort Rentals again!!

Kaanapali Beach

The condo has beautiful views from dining area and balcony, a good layout, a sink in laundry room, plenty of closet space and a little closet with 'extras'. There are grills near the pool with an herb garden that are maintained by staff and a utility closet with some condiments and utensils. Free coffee at the cabana at the pool in the mornings. Great location near the Black Rock that is great for snorkeling. Great sidewalk to walk on up and down the beach, not completely continuous. I would stay there again.

Worth every penny

Aside from a few hiccups (toilet issues and a broken iron) this unit was as advertised. The view was amazing....and as a lead up to our wedding? Perfect.

Great time at the Alii

Great central location right on Kaanapali beach. Beautiful ocean view. Clean unit but some amenities were lacking. In short or no supply were trash bags and no dishwasher soap tablets. Additionally no written instructions were found to operate the cable/TV's so it was trial by error. Small problems that we overcame ourselves, but things that should be brought to the attention of the management company.

Excellent location but condo getting worn down

Love the Kaanapali Ali’i. We stayed in this unit a year ago and when we came back this year we were surprised at the wear and tear on the unit. Just needs some attention to many little things like the washer smells of mold, door to patio is stuck shut and overall condition is showing it’s wear, which is unfortunate as the price for this unit has increased since last year at this time.

Kaanapali Alii is a great property but this unit is tired and dated.

We love the Alii and the location of the property. This unit is located conveniently on the third floor and the view is wonderful. Thw layout works well for a family of four if you don’t mind having your kids share the king bed in the den. The unit itself is dated and tired. Had to fix the bathroom sink and the toilet handle in the master bath. Two shelves on the doors in the fridge are broken. A couple cabinet doors are bent and need adjusting. The deck landing was a little smaller than I thought it would be. The positives were that the carpet was new and the beds were super comfortable. You can’t beat the convenient location the view and the layout for a family of four. This unit just needs a refresh for the amount of money you’re spending.

Amazing views and great vacation spot

The condo was amazing and you could not ask for a better location to look out upon the beach and tropical property. The condo itself needs to have it's AC vents and grills deep cleaned as there was mold and other lint all over the grills in each bedroom and bathrooms. Sliders to the patio need tracks cleaned and oiled, as they were difficult to open. And the guest sliding doors never locked. The cabinets in the kitchen need some love as doors dont stay shut. Bed linens were dirty upon arrival but we made a call to quickly have them replaced which they did. They were fast to fix wifi too! All appliances and furniture was well kept and working. It was alittle dated and could use fresh paint, Linens, towels and soaps were minimal even though you stated the # of people in the party. We will be back but hope to see the changes for the next family that stays in this picture-perfect location.

Place was wonderful, location was the best we have had and we have been com yo Maui for 30 years .

Property was located just where we wanted, hot water shortages, showers were barely warm and think most of the wall plugs need replaced as our charging devices kept falling out of sockets and washer stunk, we did not fo laundry here.

Great Location, ok unit

I’ve stayed at the Kaanapali Ali’i multiple times over the years as it’s my favorite location but this was my least favorite unit. As soon as we walked into the unit, one of the sliding screen doors is just leaning against the wall. First use of the master bath and the sink stopper doesn’t work (open/close) so sink fills with water. Long black hair stuck to the wall outside the toilet/shower area in master bath. Master area smelled musty with the laundry area smelling worse. I called property mgmt. twice within 20 minutes of arrival about all 4 issues. They came the next day and fixed the screen and sink but the hair remained and they didn’t have air freshener for the musty smell. Additional things with the unit: 1) AC vents all need cleaning. They’re dusty and some evidence of mold in the master bedroom. 2) AC in main living does not shut off when you open the lanai doors. It never shuts off even when thermostat reads “off”. 3) Went to hang a towel on a hook in the master bath and the hook/towel fell to the ground. (Not tightened to bracket) 4) The kitchen faucet is loose. You turn it on/off or adjust temp and the entire faucet moves. 5) Not all kitchen cabinet doors close completely. (Pantry, below sink, above pantry) 6) Icemaker worked for the first day and then stopped making ice 7) Microwave above stove isn’t working. The tabletop microwave was awkward to use and hard to access. The lack of over stove microwave also meant no vent while cooking 8) Water temp range for handheld shower in master bath is minimal. Can’t get a cool or hot shower. 9) No vents in either bathroom so it gets steamy. A couple of things I did appreciate: beach chairs, cooler, and umbrella for guest use, great water pressure in showers, nice table/chairs on lanai. For the price, this unit did not meet expectations.
