Nice views, resort itself could use more maintenance. We rented several cabanas and everyone had at least 1 sun shade that didn’t go down all the way or didn’t have a wind tie down. Elevator near the condo was out for the entire 2 week stay. Condo floors were very dirtyThe views were nice but I think we will find a different resort next time.

Spectacular ocean view - worth the splurge

This spacious unit is the closest in the complex to the ocean, so you have a private unobstructed 180 degree ocean view from the lanai. Great views of Lanai, Molokai, the beach and waves, Black Rock, lots of breaching whales, rainbows, and sunsets. We could have stayed out there all day every day. If it gets hot on a sunny afternoon, the views from inside with the A/C are still very good.The three large bedrooms (each with its own bathroom) and comfy beds worked well for our family from three different households. The large kitchen is well-appointed, and the sectional couch and chairs in the TV area are comfortable, though WiFi was slow. Luxury touches throughout.We walked to nearby stores, restaurants, and the food truck area, and down the boardwalk to Whaler's Village. Nice to have two garage parking passes for rental cars to drive to further sights. Good communication with property manager.It was a special birthday splurge to have a 2650 sq ft penthouse unit for a week for our family, but we felt the comfortable luxurious space and spectacular views were worth it

Beautiful and give place

The view is amazing and the space is huge. Both primary had excellent views in 2 directions and the spare bed has a great view of pool and ocean, better than partial ocean views we'd had at another unit in the tower. Staff was very responsive.

This amazing condo is my happy place!

This amazing condo is my happy place! This is the second time I've rented this unit. It is so beautiful and spacious. the lanai is my happy place. I spend hours watching the ocean with 180-degree views. We saw tons of whales plus rainbows, surfers, sea turtles, and spinner dolphins right from our balcony. We love having the expansive nana doors wide open while we are there. This condo is heaven on earth and I hope to be back again someday.

We have stayed at Honua Kai many times and a very special occasion justified renting a little higher end space than usual. H601 was everything we expected and more. It will be hard to not stay there from now on!

A Little Bit of Heaven

We had a fabulous stay in this gorgeous unit. The view of the ocean and coastline is spectacular. The space was terrific for our family of 5. We look forward to coming back and staying in this unit again. The pool areas, dining at Duke's , and service by the pool was all excellent. Thank you!

Terrible management company

The property itself is beautiful. However, two weeks prior to our stay we were informed that the lanai would be off limits because of painting. Short notice of this sort is unacceptable for a property whose main selling point is the lanai. Exacerbating a bad situation the rental management company was unwilling and unable to help rectify the situation. Repeatedly saying how hard this situation was on them and that at most they could give a 20% discount. I would avoid working with Maui Rental Company at all costs and would not book this unit ever again.

Location close to restaurants and beach. Very noisy, no service for the price range, had better experience, a lot more personal in Waikiki beach tower. Appartement not so clean, carpet smelled bad, washroom not so clean. Environnement very crowded, valet parking long to get car.

Best ocean view on the island!

Best ocean view on the island! This royal penthouse condo lives up to it's name. It is very spacious with 2 master suites, a 3rd bedroom with it's own hall bath, and a half bath. The gourmet kitchen, huge indoor dining table, and large living room were all perfect. The lanai (balcony) is huge and has expansive views of the ocean, resort, and beach below. It is my new happy place. This was a girls trip of 5 women and we spotted and photographed countless whales while enjoying food and drinks there. It was hard to pull ourselves away from this paradise but we managed to enjoy lots of excursions around the island while we were there as well. The condo management service and communication was excellent throughout the entire experience. Thank you Maui Resort Rentals!

Wonderful property right on the ocean

We had a last minute short, but wonderful, stay in this oceanfront unit. Location is amazing, and the place was clean and well appointed. The property manger was responsive and helpful. (We had an issue with the freezer leaking, and they had it solved in 45 min on Christmas Eve!). The place has three good bedrooms, two are ocean front “main rooms” with king beds which are similarly appointed, so it would be good for two couples as well as a family. Added bonus is your own grill on the deck- no taking the elevator down to the shared grill. Mahalo for a great stay.

Never has anyone over delivered more than they did

This was for my wife’s birthday. We brought our 4 boys from 18 to 25 and my oldest came with his wife and 18 month old They met absolutely everything I wanted before we came here. As soon as we got here we had a couple of requests and they over delivered They brought a magical birthday floral arrangement in addition with a pac and okay and high chair for my grandson They provided anything we asked This was the penthouse and made everything thing my wife ever imagined. In addition we were able to stay an extra 6 hours as we had our flight. I would recommend everyone to work with them and stay here for sure

Four night stay in July 2019

High end penthouse condo in very nice development. Pools were nice, cabanas were pricey and need to have better furniture. Condo was clean and well equipped, everything worked well. Patio furniture shown in pictures is due for replacement, as cushions were worn and flimsy. Check-in was quick and efficient, staff was friendly. Common areas (hallways outside condo front doors specifically) need to be thoroughly cleaned, as wear and tear is evident. Garage parking was great, and very convenient. Wearable key fob for condo door entry was convenient. Nice gas grille on lanai.

Beautiful 3-bedroom condo

The property is great and room 601 is fabulous. It has the most amazing views of the water with a large balcony to enjoy plenty of outside space. I admit to having high expectations and this property lived up to it in every aspect. This is the way travel should be done when you visit Hawaii.
