Gorgeous Ocean View Suite

Perfect Beachfront Stay – Waves, Views, and Total Relaxation

Stayed here with my gf, and it was everything we wanted. The location is unbeatable—right on the beach with the sound of strong waves all day and night. Waking up to that view and stepping straight onto the sand was incredible. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a stress-free stay. If you’re looking for a spot to relax, enjoy the ocean, and just disconnect, this is it. We’ll definitely be back.

Great property

This was a great property and was exactly as advertised. This property has a nice little pool and cabana area but is nothing extravagant. If the pool scene is what your looking for you should go next door however if you are looking for a quiet place with guaranteed excellent views of the ocean, this is your place. Every room has an ocean view! We saw countless sea turtles right from our balcony and it was only a few steps from the patio over to the Beach where we experienced decent snorkeling on the reef.

5 Star Plus - Whales, wine & sunsets

Not just an Ocean View - you get a very close full 180 unobstructed view, ok, there is 1 palm tree off to the side, which is the best place for them... Whales doing everything they do all day long for your viewing pleasure. A nice sandy beach with swimming right there, or a pool with hot tub. Great location! Miles of Kaanapali beach boardwalk, food truck park, restaurants, shopping, and the best cinnamon rolls anywhere (you might be waiting in line for an hour - I did and it was worth it). It's rather nice inside as well. Bring some ear plugs, it takes a while to get used to being so close to the waves, and it might get a little windy.

Whale Watching Paradise

We go to Maui in February to watch whales. The 180 degree view from the lanai is stunning. We loved it so much we booked fir next year.

What a wonderful stay

The property is great, a smaller condo in between larger properties right on the water with great views. The pool area and hot tub are nice with a lovely kitchen and grill and dining area. The area is fully open after the fires so support the local businesses that need some help.

Beautiful location and property!

We live our stay here. The location was perfect. We loved sitting on the lanai and watching the turtles. The building was nice a quiet and the property was just like the pictures. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful condo, incredible views!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The condo was perfect for me, my husband, and our 4 year old son. (Even the pull-out bed was comfortable!) The views are absolutely incredible, and it was great having a full kitchen where we could eat-in with our son and soak up the breathtaking views!

The condo was great and had an amazing balcony with ocean view. Thanks to Maui properties service for giving us more clean bath and beach towels after we requested. The condo was overall very clean, however there was a large dead cacaroach on patio and other dead bugs along the inside of the sliding glass door.

Beautiful view!

The apartment was very nice, well set up kitchen and the bed was comfortable. The view was amazing and we saw a lot of whales and amazing sunsets. The only negative is the carpet was stained and appeared worn, perhaps it could be replaced with some of the new vinyl flooring that is easy to keep clean especially near the beach. Overall excellent experience with the beach so close as well as restaurants etc! Mahalo!

Positives outweigh negatives

Maui Kai is an older, 10-story condo building at the ocean’s edge. There are no frills here, but the basics are good, and it would be hard to find a better location. We were on the third floor; the oceanfront balcony was outstanding with comfortable furniture, and we really enjoyed the whale-watching! The interior needs some attention-the carpeting is badly stained, and the walls need a fresh coat of paint to brighten up a rather dreary living area. The kitchen was well-equipped with updated appliances and granite countertops. We enjoyed the proximity to food trucks and other take-out places and often ate our dinners on the balcony while enjoying the whales, the sunsets, and the sound of the breaking waves. While having a rental car is ideal, there is also a convenient bus service (with a nearby stop-$2 or $1 sr. citizen) that goes to the Kaanapali resort area and Lahaina. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Good location for a short stay

Good location next to where the food trucks are located. The beach near the property is quite good. The property is adjacent to the Westin so you can use the restaurants and the amenities at the Westin as well - just a few minutes worth a walk away.

Lousy service

We checked in Friday but they did not send us a service mgr till Monday. So we had to watch tv in the bedroom only. The unit was carpeted. There were stains throughout. Pretty disgusting. I would suggest not using this company. We will not again.

Everything about this unit was great. Location, view, comfort, amenities, convenience, etc. The management responded quickly to a minor issue, and it was resolved immediately. The unit was quiet, and the stay was very relaxing.

Amazing Condo!!!

This was our first time traveling to Hawaii and could not be more happy with this condo. The location is perfect and the view from the balcony is just incredible. We saw whales each day we were there right from our own balcony! It was absolutely perfect. We will definitely be back. The management team was great to work with. This is a MUST place to stay.
